  1. Hi everyone. I just recieved my rating and am satisfied with what I recieved. How long until you guys were re evaluated for your disabilities? How often do you guys get seen at va for appointments? I have always used private and will still see my private therapist for mental health bi weekly but want to also go to va mental health. How often do u guys go to mental health appointments? Thanks Phil
  2. Thank you very much everyone. Now the wait for backpay.
  3. I just wanted to thank everyone here who helped me on my way with my claim. I recieved 80%. I am so very happy and relieved.
  4. Hamslice, I claimed residuals of heat stroke. I have it in my service medical record and did not think I d even get an exam for it. I spoke with the examiner about my heat intolerence. Basically not being able to be outside in the heat or direct sun. She wrote at least as likely as not and stated I did not have issues before the heat stroke.
  5. Has anyone on here or know someone with residuals of heat stroke for heat intolerence? I had a cp exam last month for it and I was wondering what it was rated at.
  6. My claim has been going on since aug 2018. It has been a crazy road. I put in conditions that my vso thought I should all at once. There was an issue with ptsd tbi and determining which symptoms belong to which. Claim went to prep for decision. Rater kicked back and I went to three more cp exams. Exams went well. He said it was assigned to a rater. What does this actually mean? It can mean anywhere right? Not just my regional office. Thanks guys.

  8. My opinion on your matter is to claim it. Tbi can cause serious health issues later on. I am in the same boat as others as the va has held up my claim for a very long time trying to seperate tbi and ptsd. Examiners had do opinions which one was wrong and had to be redone. Then ptsd examiner had to give her opinion. I think they are going to end up combining them. I think it does depend on your situation but in my personal opinion I would.
  9. Yes I had two tbi initial cp exams and one for ptsd. Then I had two ace exams from both examiners as well.
  10. GBArmy thank you very much for your response. I am actually very surprised to get a c&p exam for these conditions. I have them in my service medical records but did not get a medical opinion for these conditions before sending my claim in. I continue to seek treatment for these conditions. I will do as you recommend. Thank you.
  11. Have C&p coming up for knee and foot. Just wondering if anyone has been through it and can tell me what to expect.
  12. Thank you for your response. I do have the documentation from my service medical records including x Ray's for both. I also had an MRI from my own dr that I played for with my own private insurance. So were you denied for both?
  13. Has anyone gone for a cp exam for foot or knees. Broke foot at JRTC and has never been the same. Hyperextended knee in basic still causes pain on my feet all day.Just wondering what is all that is involved?
  14. I put in for my knees and my feet. I did not get a nexus or medical opinion from a doctor. I do however have them in my service medical records. I have a cp exam coming up for knees feet and flatfoot which I had never claimed. Has anyone had a cp exam for these conditions? Just wondering what to expect. Thanks.
  15. I like that one. I think most of us would be 100.
  16. Thanks for the response. You are right. I am just very anxious and have a lot going on right now.
  17. So I had my claim go back to gathering of evidence from preparation for decision. I had previously been there twice already. I had a cp exam for ptsd in december 2018. I had two cp exams for tbi in Feb and june of this year. I had the cp dr write a statement for the clarification of social and occupational impairment between ptsd and tbi. It was not satisfactory so the ptsd examiner had to write a statement whether they could tell the difference in symptoms. From there it went from prep for decision to gathering of evidence. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Has this happened to any of you guys? Thanks in advance.
  18. I am also sad to read about Geekysquids upringing. It is not what I wish to be around anymore. I do not drink because after suicides of two members of my platoon it fell hard on me like it does to many. No excuses. I drank. It was everyday like a six pack. I changed.
  19. No guys I am absolutly not upset with any of you guys at all. I asked for opinions because I value and appreciate your opinions.
  20. Yes. Absolutely. Married to her first the last three and a half years. I do not have an alcohol problem. I did have a problem when I got home. My little girl is my first priority. Have counseling apt on Tuesday.
  21. So I have been a member on here discussing my claims. I have had a long road with this claim starting last August 2018. So the claim is not finished but it finally went to preparation for decision. My ptsd/tbi symptoms have gotten even worse. My wife is an alcoholic who pushes me to my limits. She punched me in the face and I totally lost my control. I went into a rage and dont remember what happend. She obviously called the police and I was arrested for domestic violence. I was given an order of protection from my wife and year old daughter who is my world. I had to move to my mother's house temporarily for at least a month. I have been feeling suicidal and just plain angry. Should I talk to my vso with all the terrible shit written on police report about me and my ptsd ? What do you guys think?
  22. Congratulations to you on 100. My claim has been held up with the examiners trying to seperate the two or determine. I am sure they will now be combined. Hoping for a short turn around on decision.
