  1. Has anyone claimed Sleep Apnea after they go out of the military and linked it as a secondary to PTSD. I am working with my VA Doctor and she says that might be the case. Trying to see if there is any other paperwork besides the Doctors letter I will need to add. I just know from this and other sites people talk about not having or missing paperwork that they were never told they needed. My Doctor is filling out the VA Form 21-0960L-2 Sleep Apnea Disability Benefits Questionnaire is there anything else I might need?
  2. I have just seperated from my wife and she is telling me the main reason is that I have changed to much and that my PTSD worries her too. I have been in treatment for the last 3 years, however, somedays I don't feel like its helping. I am not a fan of the medication and I have stopped taking them over two years ago. I was told to add it to my PTSD as a secondary, but secondary will it fall under?
  3. I have one of my disabilities mark as non permanent, however, its been 7 years since the finding and I have not yet been called back into have a re-evaluation of my disability. Every time I go to the VA doctor I always let them know I still have the same issues and its not getting any better. How do I go about having my disability change to permanent? I have looked on ebenefits but there is no clear explanation on how to do this.
  4. I have been retire for 7 years now and I just got diagnose with sleep apnea a few days ago. My doctor says it could be due to my PTSD with insomnia. I guess the question is should I file this under a secondary condition for PTSD or as a new claim for sleep apnea? I was told that the VA has changed sleep apnea to max 30% now from the 50% in the past (is this true)?
  5. I am currently rated at 90% and I am looking to increase my rating due to declining health problems. I am rated currently at 70% for PTSD and I am having secondary effects from it. Was just diagnose with Sleep Apnea, Depression, Alcoholism and prediabetes. This has caused me to distance myself from my wife and now we are getting a divorce. Should I claim this under secondary to my PTSD or just new claims for everything. Also, I was denied a claim for chest pains when I got out, however, years later I found that I was diagnose with costochondritis while in the service and twice since I have retired. Should I reopen my chest pain claim or just file a new claim with just the costochondritis?
