I've searched for any info on this subject some but as I suck as a researcher I thought I'd look for info in the form of a question. I've had an appeal in the works for going on three years for an increase in the rating for my service connected lower back issues. It's gotten increasingly worse over the years since the initial rating as well as the limits of my mobility decreasing. I thought I was keeping an eye on it well enough but I was slacking. I found out this past Thursday that my appeal had been closed due to my not giving the VA something. I was never informed that they required anything additional. I was never informed that the appeal had been closed! I've not gotten anything from them paperwork wise. No letter of denial no nothing, and the appeal was closed October 31 2019! Yeah I know..I should have kept a hella closer eye on the appeal..but I didn't..I'm a dumbass but that will not be happening again.
My question, after laying out my problem is. What can I do now? Is there anything I can do? I really don't want to lose the last three years waiting on this to just let them say..oh well we closed it even tho we never asked for anything or communicated with you at all..so What can I do? Any and all assistance, comments or critiques are GREATLY APPRECIATED!
thanks in advance for taking the time to at least read my post..
