I take 2 to 3 a day here in TN=VA Nashville Pete and I have been on them for years. I go in to see my new Doc and she talking like she has to take me off of them, this was a few months back. She even pulls out the paper that looked to be some type new regulation updated from the "top" to follow and it clearly stated what you guys are sayin here. It said for sure to only use Xanax as a "TEMP" use only and is not to be priscribed for long term use....yoggie

The funny part about this is your child/children will receive a SSA check as well (assuming you totally Disabled), My EX tried to hide this payment hoping to double dip till she was caught and didn't even show up at court. What others say is true to some existent. They (FL) will try to make you pay more ALWAYS, Florida is the worst I ever seen, it makes for another great revenue gathering campaign as well! Suspended DL's , fines , court cost, late fee's and Jail..the truth is you will be guiltted in to poverty if you let them. Florida I read has ramped up efforts to collect back fee's that had long been forgotten as far back as 10 years . A buddy of mines wife was arrested on a fee from a case that was thrown out 7 years ago. Sheriffs approached his house in paramilitary swat gear and riot shotguns drawn, boots and all, because a warrant was issued on a $35 court cost she had no idea existed and they stood and watched her get dressed and took her off to jail for ten days and said that she could no longer be arrested for the fee if she chose no to pay it, it would now just go on her credit. little off topic sorry, just to show ya FL aint playing around. Get you the kind of Lawyer you need cause you don't want this kinda stuff following you around. Larryj is right though they(FL) will use everything you got to take all the SSA max they can take. The up side the will look at the mom as she has a full time job whether she has one or not to limit the bleeding....yog

Well Brother some aren't going to like this post or the answer to it. The ANSWER is NO but the child in question is entitled to the bene's you receive on the child's behalf. if your 100% I think its 80 or 90 bucks. I myself just went through this little under 2 years ago, VA Disability can not be attached by anyone. How ever worse case scenario if you wife leaves or vice versa she will get no more than than half you SSA and the childs check from SSA PERIOD. I to am from Florida and I no how they work and they work to screw the father period. Everyone you will not be sympathetic to you because there first thought is you a dead beat DAD, you are not you are disabled and don't want to be left homeless and broke and FL will do that if you do not fight back. You give what your supposed to and no ore because at the end of the day you will be giving a lot. I currently give 600+ for one child you are not entitled to share your VA disability with others only SSA with your children. Get you a lawyer and you will find out what I say is trueand put that "your just trying to get over" crap out of your head that is what others are thinking. If she gets it its because you gave it to them or did nothing to protect your self. Not my business I suggest you guys work it out if possible...... Certainly have and I have PTSD... I constantly worry to the change that being injured and mental stresses can break you down but hang in there you will get an upswing and you'll feel a little better.. Good luck..Yogg..

I see it this way, I my self put in a request and it took 8 months to a year. It was after this time I wrote to my Congressman and I received it in 30 to 45 days of receipt later and a letter from my Congressman 3 days after my C-file arrived. Sometimes its better to go hard on the second try.. Good Luck My friend.....Yog

Michellee, also prepare your self for the probability of rejection, for this is the worse cut of them all.. I to had an exam that went well and got rejected and appealed the decision and they (SSA) sent me right back to the Doctor and he did the same exam a looked at me and said "I can't believe they sent you back here" and also stated that he could only do so much and assured he it was SSA screwing with me... I am not trying to bring you down but unless you dying SSA is tuff. I know thing can look solid and others here know my own claim they will find ridicules ways to deny a claim the kill you inside when you read there decisions, I did win a bench decision 2 1/2 years later but SSA made sure they drug through it before hand..Good Luck.......Yogg

John999, and the others are correct here. You need to get your doctors to connect these conditions and when you get that you need another to do the same that you've seen.. surgeon ect... one might not be enough to persuade them but take this time to mount an attack of there defense and you can win this thing this is what they (VA) do. They put it in a way there is no hope or sounds that way... I was denied across the board and the VA made my denial sound as if I was lucky to keep the 40% I already had. Go with the DRO Hearing put a "face to the case" and hit them with the evidence... and lots of it, not just junk but the facts and very credible sources....good luck..Yogg

Nothing to you basser but I made some of the comments I see on here today and my post was deleted? My point is this is without doubt to me a terrorist act and being framed and chalked up in most media and prez as a common lunatic just snapping if this was so I say again why didn't he do this in his masque? Now this will be tried in a Court Marshall as a common criminal and save the government millions, but the others with be treated for the rest of there lives.. I just couldn't imagine this happening in the very place your supposed to feel the safest and they and us are supposed to believe this was just a random act. right , I really hurt for these people no matter how it works out and to think this guy was proscribing meds to these guys too really bothers me just as much..yoggie

Very true statement, I had posted a VA Doctor training film here once that conceded this. The Dr's were going through training stating to treat the vet as if they were there for "monitory gain or lying"...yog

If you are already service connected it will be looked upon as a worsening condition if you are already rated for it, that is before the accident. This is what happen to me but you must show a continuity of treatment before the accident. If you are trying to SC because you have medical records that show your injuries were originally injured in service you will have an up hill battle. make sure they have your medical records if its the ladder of the two. Sometime you have to take action to retrieve your records it took me writing my Congressman and he requested them for me. It can be any time frame there on there own time...I would call or request again or get with your VSO to find out the status,,,Good luck Yogg

In my opinion a "Stressor letter" in a letter that lends support to an incident that you personally were there to experience/witnessed a certain situation you might have been expose to that is mainly to cause/trigger your health condition you may be experiencing..and to to be no longer than one page if you can help it. The longer it is the less chance they will read it...... Good luck Yog

I found that going through the VA to get a "FeeBasis" therapist is the best way. You will be able to see them as many times as needed. I found this works if 1. you live to far away from the VA 2. unable to travel due to distance or Cost, Injury's or all. This will have to be done through your regular head shrink. Plus you can get what I found to be better help with out feeling your with someone with an ax to grind and they give give good weight to a claim if your seeking an increase or service connection..but you must really have $$ issues for it to get approval.. Boy oh Boy, WoW! Buddy I can say with out a dout you have to come correct the first time because Indy will try to suck the like out of you. rental, John999 are right on, but I can trully say if there is a way, hell they dont need away they will try to deny your claim so make sure your ducks are in a row and your watchin them at all times. You can WIN but you will have a lot of sleepless nights and constantly fighting to cut them off from them pulling tricks of there trade.... I could have never done it without the help here but non the less watch your claim and document stamp EVERYTHING! good luck yogg....

Also the partition on the computer maybe a copy of Vista or an OS the was on the System before you got it. You can usually follow the same instructions to reformat the computer to its factory settings or New O/S Condition.. Yog

John if you have a Vista Disc. look at the boot up screen it will ask a few things we never pay attention to, like hit Esc to what ever Hit F8 for BOOT screen. Set the computer to boot from CD/rom if you do not have a Vista CD operating system give me a PM if not..I will get you a fully functioning Vista Premium operating system W/updates that will let you reformat the C:/. 1 year---- I just went through this at my DRO Hearing back in JAN09..The VA had to have there own to, I had another done by a fee basis VA appointed care giver by the RO wanted one up to date from the VA hospital..Yog

I can certainly testify to that.....Always have someone with you in those C&P's... The other was my DRO Hearing when ever I made solid valid "in your face points" it was listed a inaudible or there interpretation of what I meant. Raters do the same they will even interpret doctors opinions to discount your claim.... My claim just about had it all..Yog

Hoppy it seems to me I read this somewhere,lol..I fired my SO.before my appeal so I wouldn't be stuck with them through the whole process but I am pretty sure you can be stuck with them which sucks.Yog

They very from RO to RO some are better than others and some are just better screwing up than other, at worse case 2 years normally bout year or less depending on your circumstances. This is why its so hard to give a set date. Good Luck Yog..
