  1. Love the way you deciphered "HIGHER LEVEL REVIEW", the mom and dad game, basically I wasted six months hoping that family would turn on family! I will definitely pursue the BVA path. Thanks very much
  2. Thanks for the reassurance, sorry for long delay, I have been out of the loop due to family illness.
  3. Submitted my claims package prior to retiring in July, 2005. Got claim letter back November 2005, everything denied and not service connected! hit the ground running to take of my young family, taking job after job, while trying to adjust to civilian life, until, 2015 I realized that I was not physically feeling okay and that old injuries were getting worse. consequently, I realized that the VA had dismissed me and my 21 years of service as well as my health. I decided to do a little homework and educate myself on getting disability, even though I was lead to believe that a person had to have a leg are arm missing to receive any benefits, nevertheless I appealed my claims in 2015, and was denied all of them again (total of 10 claims). Feeling really discouraged, I gave up again and did not appeal again until 2019, and finally got 30% for my back due to a CUE (the CUE was for duty to assist because the VA had my status of getting out of the military in 1988...I retired in 2005); however, it was only effective back to 2016, (keep in mind that everything that I am claiming is in my service record). Having the one win! gave my a push to go after the rest of my claims, as of right now I have a Higher Level Review that is pending for my feet and Cervical, with my depression already being denied. E-benefits reads " The Veterans Administration is correcting an error". The error, in my opinion is that they totally screwed up with my service dates, and are kicking the can down the road...basically using their complicated bureaucracy to figure out how NOT to compensate me for what I have earned. I am considering taking everything to the next level (BVA) and beyond, because I often think how differently my experience with being out of the military may have been if they had not made that mistake back in 2005. I did what I was suppose to do by putting in all my paper work prior to retiring, along with supporting medical record entries/supporting documents. Has anyone ever heard of such and what avenue or path did he or she take to get justice?
