  1. ok I got my right hip operated on last wednesday and will be non weight bearing for 4 weeks then rehab. They had to shave bone off of my femue ball and repair my obital socket. Need advise regarding filing a claim. I suffered a fall due to my left foot and ankle condition and this is what has agravated my right hip condition causing the surgery. I wll be filing my right hip as secondary to my left foot and ankle condition along with my right knee condition. My question is am I pursuing this correctly?
  2. no he was a private doctor. he did not document anything yet the fall I had brought all this pain and problems with my hip to light This is the second time that I have fallen and hurt something. This time it was my hip and knee. I guess the fall was a blessing because they xrayed my hip for a fraqcture and found this problem.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I was not trying to get 100% TDIU just for the sake of getting it. My conditions have worsened as of late and I was just asking the question because sooner or later i will not be able to do much of anything much less work. I am having to have surgery on my knee and now my hip because of my conditions and I was just weighing my options.
  4. Yes they do Its calledShort term and Long term disibality
  5. My combined ratings are at 87% Which does round off to 90%. 50% 30% 30% 20% 10% 10% 10% They did not consider me TDIU when I became 70% They just sent me a form to apply and that was it. I think that is correct.
  6. I have had the 10% rating on my right knee for 20 plus years. I found out that I have a problem called Cam impingment in my hip. The doctor said they think this is heretary. He said that the condition with my left foot and ankle has probably agravated this condition. Now I have to have surgery and will out of commision for a while. They cannot fix my right knee until they fix my right hip. What are my chances here regarding a secondary claim? My left foot looses feeling and goes to sleep due to my ankle condition. Tarsal tunnel syndrome is what I think they call it. I have a trapped nerve in my ankle that is surrounded by scar tissue. My left ankle is ankylosed and has athritis.
  7. Currently I am suffering from tremendous pain in my right hip. I am rated 30% left foot 30% left ankle and 10% arthritis right knee from past meniscus surgery in airforce. I went to the ortho doctor and he has scheduled me for surgery on my right knee due to another torn meniscus I have had to miss work due to my hip and knee condition. I went to the family doctor yesterday and he did xrays and said my hip looked like the cartilage was missing. Anyhow he scheduled me for an MRI and I completed the MRI yesterday and will carry the results to my orthopedic surgeon today. . Anyhow My question is can you file for compensation due to my right hip condition. I have an unusual gait that causes me to put abnormal pressure on my right hip due to my other conditions.
  8. I was just awarded 50% PTSD from an assault that happened back in 1989. They also bumped me up from 20% to 30% for my foot and they gave me 20% for my left thumb. I had filed for all of theses back in Feb 2012. I currently work but things have gotten real bad with my PTSD and my left foot and ankle condition.
  9. I am 55 years old and was just moved up to 90% from 60% a couple of weeks ago
  10. Currently I am rated 50% PTSD, 30% ankle, 30% foot, 20% left thumb 10% right knee 10% tinnitus and 10% bilateral. Can I apply for 100% unemployable and if so what would be my chances of getting it permanent. Do I even qualify and what do u have to do to get insurance for your wife. Thank you for any assistance.
  11. When I had my C&p exam concerning my foot. The examiner checked the box on the progress notes that stated( loss of use of the foot will be held to exist when no effective function remains other than that which would be equally well served by an amputation stump with a suitable prosthetic appliance) My question is my ankle is rated at 30% and my foot was increased from 20% to 30%. I had originally ask for loss of use of foot (40%) and SMC K. If I file a NOD will I lose the ratings for both my ankle and foot if they give me a 40% rating for my foot due to loss of use. I thought I had read something concerning the amputation rule involving extremities below the knee.
  12. Are you saying ditch my private counselor and go to the VA for help. I don't understand.
