  1. What is the difference? What is the preference ? what does one mean over the other? Any help or explanations.
  2. I am familiar with the "hurry up and wait " and " they are trying to denying claims", but I have a claim that has been in for over a year and have had all the documents and been in rating since Feb. 10. The Regional Office DAV branch, claims they have a good record and rarely do claims exceed a year with rating boards turning over their cases in a month. These really aren't too difficult as far as some people out there not having service documentation, the dots are connected really close on these claims from service connection to becoming more severe. So what is the problem? and please if you are going to say "no news is good news" let me know why. and if this helps seeking aid and attendance/ SMC.
  3. Also you are going to have to call the pharmacy and let them know you are 50%, along with any other places you may have been paying copays and they will reimburse with a retro check from the date of your award. May not be much I do not know your situation but no sense leaving money on the table.
  4. Has anyone ever heard of a secondary rating board? When are they used? why are they used? Is this good or bad?
  5. you can purchase a worldwide space "A" book at any base. Covers lodging and flights.
  6. What is the difference in determining housebound or aid and attendance for compensation purposes?
  7. I have several claims secondary to my sc'ed condition, I put in for depression with anxiety, they granted adjustment disorder with mood disorder . When you are going Psych. choose your words carefully they can twist almost any disorder into a personality disorder which gets a big fat donut.
  8. PR thanks for reading my dang post, my friend does have a lawyer. AND WE ARE ONLY TALKING about alimony so for everyone with their moral obligations and child support issues go find a chat room to vent in.
  9. I have a friend ( I am sure you all have heard that) but this is true. He is 100% with and R-1 rating plus drawing Social Security Disability. His home was built two years ago using a 50,000 special home adaptive grant and is deeded to him alone. He has been 100% since 1999 and R-1 since 2004. In July he will have been married five years. We live in Arkansas and understand the different laws of the states but he is becoming extremely distressed not knowing if she is entitlted to any of his compensation as a result of federal legislation. Is there anything that protects a veteran in his situation. If anyone has a contact or some site information for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Semper Fi,
  10. How is SMC figured, I know where the tables are but I have heard vets saying they are getting 2900. and that is not even in the tables. How do they determine aid and attendance and housebound rates?
  11. Can I still submit evidence after the C & P examination and if so how do I do it?
  12. I had two C & P examinations today, typically how long will it take for me to be able to obtain a copy of the examiners findings from the VA. I am not talking about a ratings board decision, just a copy of the exam.
  13. Look for the payment start date on you letter. Should see retro between then and the first on the next month. Good Luck.
  14. I hear alot of negative stuff about C&P's how does someone prepare for a psych C&P and what should I expect? Also I heard you can get a copy of the C&P just like any other visit to the VA. How long should I wait before I see if they have a copy available. One more, after the C&P where does my claim go next and how long does it take?
  15. I hope this is not getting posted twice but I did not see it anywhere. Bla, bla, bla. I recieved a letter today from the DAV saying I was granted my request for Temporary 100% as a result of a service connected surery. The letter also stated that two previous claims, one for depression and anxiety secondary to SC back and one for sinusitus had been deferred. I have no idea what this means , or why. Again the letter was from the DAV and not the VA, what should I do? What does this or could this mean?
