  1. OK

I tried to post this & have no idea where it went lol

At present I am 100 T&P with a SMC which I think is an L

At present the VA says I have PTSD, Dementia & Liver Cancer

What I'm wondering what is the chances of getting a higher SMC rating with all of these

But, I am hesitant to try for this as my current rating would be at the top of the pile & I am concerned I would be denied anything I put in for & I would get my current rating knocked lower

Any input would be highly appreciated GARY

  3. PR

    & sir,I thank U to

I only knew U as Flip so the PR threw me

OK.. Question... I'm now 100% T & P for seizures from a friendly encounter with 2 MP's in Japan lol The VA now says I have Dementia & I'm being treated for Liver Cancer

OK I'm 100% T & P with SMC at the L level , I think that's what the SMC is Question being would either of these 2 , if I put in for them do me any good to get me a better SMC rating?

My main concern is if I put in for either would that put my present 100% in jeopardy. GARY

  4. Berta,

I have another question. Remember me now as I was the one asking questions all the time lol

I have a VA Loan & doubt I'll ever see it paid off as it is for 30 years Question ::: If I die & money is still owed on it & leave it to my Daughter does she have to pay the remainer of the loan or is it wrote off?

The loan is thru Wells Fargo so I have no idea how that works.

Again, I can never Thank U enough for all the help U have given me GARY

  5. Berta,

Checked with my Daughter & you're right as all that is on the Rock is my Wifes name & it say's Wife of Gary Schneider So NO my name isn't on any stone Actually it's a small Tombstone

Do U remember me as U were very helpful getting me comped which was some years back

9 long years is what it took me to get comped but I'm at 100% T&P & Special Monthly Comp which I think is an L

Since I talked to U last the VA has decided I have Dementia & I also have a damn tumor on my

Liver. Actually 3 tumors The VA is shooting me up with TACE & I have had a couple of those & go back today to be checked They put this stuff in a vein near the groin area & I believe it's suppossed to go straight to the tumor

Oh ya, I guess the reason I got the Dementia tag is because I can't remember a darn thing Very frustrating to have that happen

Well, how has the world been treating U? I moved to Mesa,AZ as I have son who is a Lawyer in AZ. & I have my Daughter living with me who has a double Masters cause I believe I would forget to pay utilities. She does that for me I get frustrated very easy as I can't remember very much. Heck, I can watch a movie on the TV & then in a few hours I forget what it was about

Also, I'm going on 68 so that may be part of the problem with my memory

OK Thank U for replying to my question & I am very thankful for the help U gave me

Have seen on the Net where the VA has been caught doing bad things

I'm lurking in the background so I pretty well follow whats going on

Again.. Berta,Thank U for all the help U have given to me

  6. OK I have a question about the VA shipping my body back to St.Louis ,MO from where I now live in Mesa,AZ

My wife is buried at Jefferson Barracks in St Louis,MO & my name is on the same stone as hers

Does the VA do this or would they just bury me at another VA Cementary?

Like I said "My name is on the same stone as hers" so I would really like to get an answer to this as my health is not so good

If not the VA shipping me back there what is the alternative?

It's possible I could come up with the money & pay the costs if I knew how to do it

If anyone can answer my question I would really appreciate it

I have been told before how to sit this up but once again my memory banks fail to respond properly. In order words my memory sucks

So, if someone will tell me how to do same I will be forever in your debt

    Thank U

91.2 percent of Hadit members are service connected.

    8.78 percent are not

    Rating Percentages:

    10 - 40% 14%

    50 - 100% 6%

    TDIU 14%

    SMC 7%

    None 7%

    Waiting times

    1 to 2 years 7%

    2 to 4 years 12%

    4 to 6 years 12%

    6 to 8 years 5%

    5 or more years 7%

    This is Gary Schneider

I'm rated 100% T&P Also, have an SMC of L Hope thats of some use

  9. Matt,

I have no idea what U have but I had nail Fungus along with Athletics feet so bad my toeNails would only grow our so far & stop & start building up till where I could feel my boots I had on so I started off using a knife on the damn things & then started using a dremel to grind them off

OK.. What I found out is that "tee tree oil" will get rid of the toe crap & also works on Athletics feet. I have my nail fungus just about cleared up & have had no out breaks of Athletics feet for a long time

I apply this stuff every evening & in the morning & will go down to about 2-3 times a week or what ever is needed once I have it all cleared up

U can buy this stuff at WalMart

  10. Hi everyone, it has been one week since I have received my decision of 0%, for agent orange. . I just wanted to check in to let everyone know that the doctors papers have been filled out and these are the persons that I faxed them to. The AMC person that I spoke to , my DAV here in Philly, and also Dean from the NVLSP. On Friday night about 6:20, my cell phone rang but I did not get it in time, and they did not leave a message. I call the number right back and it was the VA regional office here in Philly. No one answered so that has me guessing. I found it strange that I would get a call at 6 20 on a Friday night. Well no phone calls today.... so we shall see.

    I will keep everyone posted.

Don't forget the 10k Insurance Policy a Vet can get even if they get 0% compensation..........GARY

  11. are there statistics for people who use these forums?

    like:

amount of people who files claims

    amount of people who win

    type of injury, illness?

    branch of service?

length of time in claims (broken down in easy wins, long wins, appeals)

    all voluntary of course..

    etc??

OK...It took me about 9 years to get 100% T & P ( SMC-L) & if I had never found hadit that would have never happened

1st 8 years or so was before I found hadit & once I found it everything fell into place. I still used a Lawyer for backup but I am very gratiful for the Assistance I found here & always will be

GARY Also I got back pay for all the time theyplayed games with me. Like I was told from when I very started trying to get comped. U only lose if U quit

  12. I've been dealing with the VA for appox. 15 years. I can honestly say "I have not been treated rudely by any VA Docs. But, I am not discourteous to them either. I never give them a hard time & I do have a lot of questions for them that always get answered. If I have any special requests it seems they do all they can to help me. As for over crowding what can one expect for a Medicial establishment that has so many patients. I was even in on the Dental Snafu in St. Louis, Mo & I didn't get excited & start a lot of trouble. I was told to come in & I did & I was checked. As for why is there more men than women at the VA Hopitals my thought is because there are so many more Men in the Miliitary. My Wife has Champ VA & they always pick up part of the bill when she see's a Private doc

Over all I have to say " I have no complaints about VA Medicial Care. I'm aware there can sometimes be a wait once one gets to the VA Hospital but that is common for all Hospital Settings. Also, I have never had any complaints about the Dental care or the eye care I receive

If my Wifes waiting time was shorter & the Waiting Room was neater & less people there than me I would be happy for her & not resentful.

    OK...Thats just my Humble Opinion

  13. Has anyone ever seen ED that was service connected, but denied compensation? My wife says I got a letter from the DAV that says compensation for ED was denied. I was granted service connection for ED in March on appeal, effective August of last year, rated 0%. There was no mention of SMC-K at that time in the award letter, so I filed a second claim specifically for SMC-K, with the basis of service connection being already granted for ED. Weird?

Why would the DAV send a letter if the decision isn't 'final'? All the other ones ive gotten from them were the same as the Basis letters from the VA, though, so my next question is WTH?

The letter (DAV) says:This letter is NOT intended to serve as your official notification from the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. You will receive an official decision from the VA upon completion of necessary administrative procedures. The VA reserves the right to modify the decision prior to your official notification. The DAV has reviewed the most recent VA decision concerning your claim for benefits. The VA has taken the following action(s):Entitlement to special monthly compensation based on loss of use is denied. If satisfied with this decision, no further action is necessary.

Well. U can get a free 10k Life Insurance Policy when u are Comped even if its 0%

If you disagree........(yadda yadda yadda.. NOD, etc).

  14. Incident happened to me on the way back to the US from a Wes Pac Cruise in 1967

I was in a bar in Yokosuka,Japan (I was 20 years old) & had been there 2-3 hours when a couple of SP came in & I don't know if I talked to them or they to me or what was said for sure but the first thing that happened is I was knocked to the floor & feet were stomping on me & kicking me about the Ribs,Head & Body & them damn batons they carry were bouncing off me also

So, 3 years later I was diagnosed with Epilepsy & the VA has agreed the Military caused it ( Guess it was a TBI) but it took 9 years & a Lawyer to get them to do it

OK...I'm 64 now & still have the damn things
