  1. Well that was quick, I got a letter telling me that I used the wrong form and must resubmit on the right form My decision letter for prostate cancer told me to submit for PN on the 526 EZ which I did. I swear the inmates are running the asylum.
  2. Just an update on my C-File request. It took 5 months and what I got was a copy of the decision in 2020 denying my claims. There was no CD. I called the 1-800 number and was told that they would straighten out the mistake but that it would take a while. Sometimes I get the feeling they are waiting for me to give up or die !
  3. When I was granted my prostate cancer claim there was a recommendation to refile for peripheral neuropathy. I refiled a 526 ez as specified. I listed all of my denials for my foot ankle and leg issues. ( I broke both feet in service, 10% for metatarsalgia) I have PN from the hip down in both legs and feet as well as my right arm. I am in AFO`s on both legs. I forgot to apply for foot drop, right leg. My question is should I file for this as well? Or will this be considered as well ? The VA diagnosed and has been treating the foot drop , I`m currently in PT for 10 weeks.
  4. Can anyone help me find the correct form to request a Copy of my C-File ? I am not comfortable reaching out to my VSO. Short explanation.. after waiting 14 months for my AO prostate cancer claim,I was urged to switch to a different VSO who claimed to have access to my files. He passed me off to another person who is unable or unwilling to help me with anything beyond calling Peggy or my congressman. Calls and e-mails are not answered. I did get the 100% temp and retro. Calling the White House hot line seemed to be what broke the roadblock. I`m just really disappointed in these folks. My previous VSO does not seem inclined to take me back , I don`t blame him at all. I am trying to figure out why the VA keeps denying me for my leg and foot issues. I broke both feet in the service. One in boot camp and one three years later along with a severely sprained ankle. I ended up in medical hold for several months in casts. I was awarded 10% for metarsalgia bilaterally in 2013. I fall a lot due to ankle instability. I walk with a cane. I have been diagnosed with painful and severe osteoarthritis in both feet, knees and ankle and bone spurs by the VA. I have been in bilateral AFO`s since May 2019 prescribed by the VA. I tried to go down stairs without the braces one morning last year and fell breaking my arm and spraining my other wrist. I have had 4 C&P exams for my legs and foot issues. #1 was service connected bilaterally for metarsalgia by the VA. #2 was by the VA and found all of the issues were service connected since 2013. # 3 was with VES and she service connected the same issues. #4 was with the VA and again service connected the same issues. I have submitted claims and higher level reviews and been denied. I do have a supplemental claim from Jan 2020 which shows as currently under review. I would at least like to be able to see what has gone on with my claims and try to figure out a path forward. Sorry for the long post, it`s complicated. Thanks, Bob
  5. Well, I doubt if this will go anywhere. Ihave worked really ard to lose weight and get myA1C down. Right now I am in the pre-diabetic range. I have PN in both feet, legs and arms. I have so many leg and foot, ankle issues that the VA is treating but not rating as service connected. I broke both feet and severly sprained my ankle while in service. I spent several monthe in medical hold, mainly for the ankle. The VA has all the records. I have severe and painful osteo arthritis in both feet ,rt ankle, & both knees . The VA has put me in AFO`s on both legs. They help but I cannot drive with them on. I get injections for my knee pain every 6 months I walk with a cane, before the AFO`s I fell a lot. Recently I had not put them on for the day yet and I fell downstairs and broke my arm and sprained my wrist.. The only thing they have rated me for is 10 % for metataslgia bilatrally for the feet . I have had 3 more C&P exams from the VA and they have all said this stuff is service connected since 2013. My last foot claim decision denied that I even broke my right foot. I have an appeal on this from 2019. This system sucks. We should be able to be present when these decisions are made. I wannt someone to look at the C&P exams and tell me why this is not service connected as the examiner has stated
  6. I did submit a 526 EZ for the neuropathy. Since they awarded the prostate cancer 100% there is no question that they accepted my AO exposure. I hope that thePN will be awarded at some point. I`m not sure that would get me to 100% without the cancer. Trying to get to 100 pt so maybe my wife can get DIC if I pass away.
  7. I haven`t heard anything from my VSO since the decision. I am guessng I should file for the neuropaty using a 526 EZ. I`m trying to find my copy of the original claim. I don`t have a clue how to do this. A VSO would be a big help ! I don`t want to screw it up.
  8. I got retro back to 2020 check is in the bank. ED as secondary to prostate cancer was denied. reason was, they did not find a link between my medical condition and military service But then they say there is a favorable finding . I have been diagnosed with a disability. Providence VAMC show a diagnosis of erectile disfunction in May 2018 . This has continued being treated since. I assumed that the ED would be secondary to the PC. I have had elevated PSA for several years. And finally had a biopsy confirming the cancer in 2021. This year another positive biopsy . At least it is slow growing, so far. They are calling for watchful waiting after the TRU surgery this month. My question is , should I apply for the ED secondary to my 70% PTSD. I am going to wait and ask my psych Dr next week if he feels the ED would be secondary. We have been discussing the issue over the past several years,
  9. yes I was verified for herbicide exposure in letter from VA. Blue water 3 tours. I have managed to get my A1C numbers below threshold for diabetes. I am now at high level of pre diabetes so for now I will not pursue that claim I still have the neuropathy. That has not changed so I will file on that as the decision letter recommended. I do not want to do anything to lose the 100% at this time.
  10. The packet came today and made me even more confused. It says I may be entitled for an additional benefit for diebetes and peripheral neuropathy.and to file as soon as I can. I was denied for these in May of 2017 because they did not manifest within 1 year. I would not apply for the diabetes because I have managed to get my A1C down to 5.7 so am now just considered pre-diabetic. I still have the neuropathy in both legs and feet but I am worried about filing another claim. Also I was denied for ED although I have been treated for it since 2018 at the VA. really ?
  11. Well something worked ! I got a call from my old VSO telling me to look at ebenefits. 100 % effective date7/17/2020. Cannot figure the date out. I submittd the claim 21 April 2021. Will wait for the letter and figure out what the benefits are. Thanks to all who helped.
  12. I just called the White House Hot Line got a casefiled to look into the delay...we'll see where this goes !! Thank you everyone for the suggestions.
  13. So far I got a call from my old VSO he is asking some ffolks to look into this. A person from the Providence Fed bldg has started looking for info.So far they both think my claim is at the bottom of a pile on someones desk !!
