  1. We filed an initial claim for disability 17 months ago. We live in MD. Our VARO is Baltimore MD. He has to use the DC VAMC for C&P's but we use the Martinsburg VAMC for his medical. I found out today his file has been in Cleveland since June 20th. His last C&P was June 7th of this year. How do you find out if the file is with the Tiger team or just deferred to the regular raters at the Cleveland RO. Our VSO gave me this information today. I found out after I talked to him about the Tiger Team. My next chance to talk to him is friday this week.
  2. Well he never called. I am not surprised. I am thinking of renting a place in Martinsburg WV. Move my husband there and have his file transferred. It seems if he is living in Martinsburg WV his file should not sit in DC. Also maybe he will get some C & P exams.
  3. Well I called the 800 number got my husband to give the okay to speak to me. Well turns out that Gerard Taylor is a supervisor in the Baltimore RO. Well the lady put me on hold then came back on and said he was on the line and could he call me back so I said ok. Gave her the home number. That was 9:00 AM. We shall see. I am still going to call the VSO back tomorrow. He is only in his office Monday and Friday. At least the mystery of Gerard Taylor is solved.
  4. No my VSO is a state officer named George Kauffman he is located in Frederick and Hagerstown MD. He usually refers me to Dave Clark at the Baltimore MD office. So who the heck is Gerard Taylor? When my VSO gets in the office Friday I will give him a call again.
  5. I would like to get on this. I have emailed Mr Strickland and what a wealth of information. Just a tad geeky and I did not see a link to this thing tonight.
  6. No his VSO has POA for his VA and is not Gerard Taylor. Oh I have a POA that is on file at the VAMC. I guess that will make a difference. I did the IRIS before and referenced the IRIS like I was my husband. I did not act like I was him on this IRIS. I have my husbands permission to do this. If it was left to him he would not do it. He would give up. Not be bothered. Well I guess I am going to call the VSO on Friday when he is back in the office and tell him they said to call Gerald Taylor and ask him who he is. Because I have no idea neither does my husband. Thanks for your ideas.
  7. Well I do have POA, but I guess that does not much good. When I am home I do tell the guy at the 800 talk to my husband first. But who the heck is Gerard Taylor? Neither one of us has ever heard of him.
  8. This is the answer Dear Mrs. Stevens, This is in response to your inquiry. We regret hat we aren't able to provide answers to your questions about your husband's claim because it would be a breach of the Privacy Act. We understand that you have been dealing directly with Mr. Gerard Taylor, and we suggest that you contact him with your questions. Thank you for contacting us. Sincerely yours, Cheryl R Flohr VSCM Baltimore Regional Office dth Never heard of Gerard Taylor. My husband has always had me take care of things for him. I guess I need to have my husband respond. With a who is he
  9. This is my husbands claim. I guess I need to clear that up. Its not mine. It just gets me that the VSOs words were never give up because I won't, then he says well maybe you should call. He is a State of Maryland employee. The VSO. My Husband is on SSD for his PTSD and other claims. Forced retirement from his job as he was on disability for a year.
  10. I joined this site in Feb. I was told to do an IRIS. I did, his file was sitting in DC waiting on a medical opinion on his tinnitus. The file went to DC from Baltimore the first of January. Well the original IRIS told me that. About 2 weeks ago I called his VSO who is a state rep and told him this. Well he made a call and told me what I told him. So he said he was emailing the head of the DC VAMC. I called him back today and he said that she never answered him. So I said now what? How can a file sit for 4 months waiting on a opinion on Tinnitus? Well he told me to call the 1800 number and ask them. He had the hearing test Sept 07. It is April 08 and nothing on the tinnitus. I filled his claim for him in Feb 07 and he has only had 2 C&P exams in a year. I am afraid with the other problems we filed for it will be many years. He has found out he has HEPC since we filed, he has COPD lost 2 lower lobes in one lung service connected. Just found that out. They are not even on his claim. Anyway enough of the b*tching. How do I deal with a state rep that says call yourself? If he can't get anywhere I have no doubt the door will be slammed shut on me. I know it is not recommended to call your congress person on this so I am leary. Mine is Barbara Mikulsky She is a spitfire. Anyway got any suggestions?
