  1. ...I agree broncovet, I'd like to hear from Berta to the assist with your first question, for I too have had this happen to me and it's the reason I have one of my claims sitting at the VARO waiting for a DRO hearing.
  2. ... and one is able to obtain an 'app' for their smartphone from Goggle Play as I've done and 'upgrade' from the free version w/limited copies and pay a little, about a buck-fifty, could be free now,for the pro version to get unlimited scanning of documents, it works great and it's called 'Handy Scanner Pro:PDF Creator' made by Halfmobile, Version 2.1, this saved my arse numerous times when I didn't have access to my ScanSnap scanner...!
  3. ...just as broncovet, say's 'developing to deny' in his comment on I say your lawyer's up on the VA's shenanigans...!
  4. ...at some stage, not sure when though, others will chime in I'm sure, aoneinsun, you'll probably be able to claim your other side as a 'secondary' see'n that your other side has been bearing all the weight, etc to compensate for your side with the most limitations
  5. ...SamanthaJo, your not alone with the 'incompetency' money grabbing deal coming out of the St. Petersburg VARO...! My last C & P for PTSD stated the same on their statement concerning my ability to handle my financial affairs, what a joke, I've been paying bills since I've left home decades ago, I don't know if you've researched this 'daily realtime nightmare' that's pushed involuntarily on many Vets on the internet, check it out, theres a couple links in one of my previous post concerning this out-right abuse of VA power. If by the grace of God I get any retro, I should be able to spend it on my own and my grandkids, and not some so-called fiduciary controlling my finances were I have to beg for the $ to buy a toothbrush...! Thanks for the 'neuropathy exam' tip, I'm going to schedule an appt. asap for one to counter being strapped w/this criminal act. God Bless you and your own.
  6. ...your absolutely right about that Buck, I had a serious problem with getting onto Hadit.com some time back and Ms Tbird went 'up and beyond' the 'call of duty' to assist me with being able to rectify the problem, she was so nice to take the time out of her morning activities and spend well over an hour helping me out...! Job well done, Tbird and as to the topic, I'm having no problems on my end concerning either version, past or present with the formats, but then again I'm on a Mac...!
  7. ...it could just be that Mac's work better than Windows with the new format...!
  8. ...a sense of humor like yours broncovet is essential for dealing with the VA...!
  9. ...Great New Year News, Gastone...! Excellent job at 'paying attention to detail...!' Congratulations, Gastone...!
  10. ...I just checked it out Tbird, your site is running as smooth as a Maserati QUATTROPORTE GTS, thank you, now back to Hadit's news page to get caught up on the latest...!
  11. ...won't filing a new claim sorta throw a wrench in the work's, rumor has it that doing so slows up the other claims awaiting movement for a decision, Gastone...? ...i filed a question to IRIS, Vync on morning of 24Dec for a status answer, still waiting. I presume that the holidays slowed it up a bit, see'n that they count by work days, some members say 4 -5 days, others say 10 or more until a response is given to the Veteran. Also Vync, is the time and place to ask for a personal hearing with the number you've provided, 202-530-9470 for the VA Office of Communication and Case Management, I'm all for it, but I'm wondering whether my Atty would be...?
  12. ... I'm not on the dime, Gastone, I've been waiting 761 days for the DRO hearing / De Novo Review, I'm 'fishing' for info, I've filed all the pertinent evidence w/in the 1 year period after filing my NOD, what I'm wondering is that I've recently learned about 'secondary conditions' here on Had it and can one bring them up at the hearing in addition to all the previous evidence...? I'm filing for HCV and my frequent headaches documented through out my SMR's could be secondary to my Hep C. I've read that it's adviced to bring up the facts about the 'secondary's' early, but where, at the hearing or somewhere else so that they are logged in the record with a dated footprint. I used Had it 8 yrs back to help get that claim going, along w/my PTSD claim and I've recently came back onboard, some month's ago after my PTSD claim was remanded back to the RO, where my HCV claim sat in limbo, The RO has to do something now with it after they wrap up my PTSD claim, 'no loose ends' before anything gets sent back to the BVA, from what I've read here on Had it.
  13. Is a Veteran able to get their adult children into college after the time limit to do so has expired and years latter the Veterans claim decision has been 'Granted...?'
  14. When a Vet has a DRO hearing in the 'wings,' is that the time for them to present additional evidence of all their secondary conditions that the veteran has developed since their initial dx as the years went by. Will it effect the veterans EED if the Vet does so if they present the evidence at the hearing...? Is there a 'proper' way to do this, and what are the pros and cons of 'off the record' vs 'on the record' concerning DRO hearing protocol...?
  15. Is one's Attorney required to submit all the evidence, e.g. SR's & SMR's that a client submits to the atty. as evidence, required to enter the data into the VBMS system for the veterans future claim review...?
  16. Is there a way to verify what SR-SMR records are contained in a veterans VBMS database on ebennies , as to all the evidence the veteran has on hand...?
  17. .....be patient Buck, the fluid will eventually disappear, it's there for a reason, to help the injured area heal, healing takes time...! I pray that all is well w/elbow joint after the swelling goes down, remember to 'be on watch' for any grinding sensation w/in the joint, so that it can be 'nipped in the bud' so to speak and you can be spared what I've had to go thru.
  18. You have to keep an eye on the way your elbow joint works after your injury Buck, many yrs. back I had the 'egger' on my elbow after an injury. After the swelling went down and it healed with time I noticed that I experienced a 'grinding' painful feeling in my elbow joint, they ignored it, sickbay, and after some time it would painfully 'pop' out when I tried to flex my arm straight, not literally but it 'popped' when I tried to straighten it, time went by until I had to get operated on my elbow for said malfunctions stated above and they missed removing all the bone/cartillage particles the first time around, time pasted and the condition worsened and they had to operate again, and after finding all those bone particles they've missed the first time around, I ended up w/OsteoChronditis of the right elbow w/o full extension of my arm. Be sure to be 'on watch' for anything out of the ordinary on your elbows performance. The surgeon had to flush out all the bone/cartillage particles during the second operation to try to fix their first 'screwup'and the problem still exists...!
  19. .........St. Petersburg Regional, DRO Hearing is currently 758 days and counting for myself...!
  20. Congratulations, Thanks be to the'Lord....!'
  21. ...and the generic types 'puck's,' they've pulled that crap on me several times also, I have to call the refill in at least 12 days prior to refill date, write down/record the pharma tech's name/conversation, request the individual meds are typed on separate lines, call the pharma tech multiple times until they inform me that the doctor is reviewing my request, then review myhealthevet for the refills status, 'discontinued,' 'in process' and then 'active,' call up for the tracking number, and then pray that the meds w/o all the 'buffers' are not sent and the 'real McCoy's are the one's in the package, for the sake of my liver's health. What a 'song and dance' this whole monthly refill routine has become Pete992...!
  22. Try this link, Buck......maybe something will 'rattle' the ole' noggin...!' http://www.historynet.com/bob-hopes-vietnam-christmas-tours.htm
