  1. i didn't know that having to be screwed over by the va was a prerequisite to join. i thought being a vet was a requirement.there's a lot of folks on hadit that has not been screwed over. you asked so i answered. my sons, and i have fought for our right to voice an opinion carlie. i have one you know.just because i state mine doesn't mean i'm taking things out of context. after all free will is still legal in this good land. just as some have stated about standing out side recruiting stations is their free will,i have only stated that i feel it does no good to our brothers, sons and daughters to hinder recruiting efforts. everything i say is not going to be right,so i guess it will make you happy if i wasn't on hadit, then maybe a few more can state their opinins and you can rid them as well.
  2. i have 2 sons in with 4 combined tours to iraq and afghanistan. telling young men not to go to the military is putting my sons in danger......flashback..1969......what did we think back then when the hippies told us not to join????
  3. you must be 40% for one rating with a combined of 70% to be considered for tdiu. i have seen 60 get it before but it's not frequent.
  4. with that diziness,i would sure look into the menieres disease, sgmdae
  5. you may want to amend your claim to include menieres disese..spelling is probably wreong. the dizziness you experience is caused by this.it's secondary to hearing loss and tinnitus.
  6. i think that naturally ,we as humans, want to portray everything as rosy to the world around us. even if we are in a gaf area of below 50. if asked if we are ok,we often will say yes. but we are not ok. we tend to put on an air of pretense. then we kick ourselves for this response later. i say this not to deceive but to educate anyone going for a c and p for any reason.don't answer automatically, slow down your response and tell them how you really feel. avoid eye contact, even though you want to shine. this is not the moment to shine. you want to be as you truly are. if you wear old jeans daily, wear them to the exam. if you comb your hair once a week,by all means show up tangled. if you smell like urine 7 days a week. this is not the time to shower because you want to impress or was told to. when going out in public ,we with ptsd are anxiously scanning our surroundings, won't sit with with our backs to doors. the examiner knows this and will try to take you out of your norm. they watch your actions, scanning the room , back to the door. that's a no no. a lot of my non veteran friends say that i'm coaching my veteran friends before exams, i say no. just reminding my brothers and sisters...be yourself and you will win most of the time. when asked how you are...wait 5 seconds...answer will be better for your claim. if you want to cry...cry..the examiner has tissues on the table for this reason.
  7. remember...don't sit with your back to the door during the exam...shows indifferent body language to ptsd.
  8. this is not true. maybe a small percent have a bad experience. my c and p's have all been done by contract qtc docs and i owe them my life..or a better quality of life. if we waited on the va docs, the backlog would be 100 times worse now. i give props to the phsyc c and p docs i've had.....i never had to wait. filed for ptsd in august, was sc'd in feb.
  9. you've got to not be able to hear an elephant fart before you get above zero percent hearing loss...the ground shaking doesn't count.
  10. the employer only needs to know if your disability prevents you from doing the job you are hired for. i am 70 percent and my employer doesn't care unless my ptsd prevents me from doing my job. some sc 's are protected by the americans with disabilities act and does not have to be disclosed, check the ada rules.
  11. in my opinion it needs a lot . cases are won with strong evidence. this does not represent even basic medical evidence. he needs to state that he has viewed your medical history and records and links all this togeher in medical terminology that the va wants. he needs to state more than likely caused by.xyz secondary to etc etc.
