  1. DAV rep I just spoke to said it was approved just awaiting a supervisor signature. So it sounds good. But I will still wonder until I get letter in mail. Question how would my service officer know if I could not even find out? Thanks Scott

  3. I sent in an IRIS Request. This is what I got back. Is this good or bad? As of May 11, 2009 we show a decision has been completed on your claim for unemployability. There is no further information we need from you. At this time the decision is being authorized by your Regional Office in Indianapolis.
  4. I would be happy to help you sorry It took so long to get back with you. I had a lot of issues since my fiance passed away. Anyways please contact me at scottcarnell@ymail.com and we can talk.

  6. Yes I did. But the employee physician did not pass me on my annual physical due to these diagnosed conditions. If you need assistance let me know. I did a lot of research and also note the "BRUNER PRESUMPTION" If they remove you then the burden shifts.
  7. 1880 a month. Deductions for taxes and insurance makes fers 1540 a month for first year minus any ssdi if i get it. then down to 962 the next year and after with deductions taken out. Of course this all depends on ssdi. My ssdi statement i recieved stated that 1674 a month that is the last statement I recieved from social security as to if i became disabled. So not to bad. ssdi would minus from fers so I would end up with only the 1674 would basically lose fers if granted ssdi.
  8. BERTA Yes i had to apply for social security when i applied for the fers disability. ssa is reviewing my medical evidence now.
  9. I just recently lost my fiancee on march 26 to lung cancer. Had my c&p the 8th of April so a little stressed.
  10. I recently was removed from federal service as a Police Officer due to my Service Connected disabilities. Sleep Apnea, Asthma, Hypertension,COPD and back condition. I am 70% service connected now. I was approved for my federal employees disability retirement. I applied for TDIU my doctor sent in a medical opinion for my TDIU. The VA sent me to a C&P exap for the TDIU. The only thing I mean the only thing the doctor did was take my blood pressure which averaged 148/96. He said he "never had such a quick exam and that was all that was asked for. I was out in 3 minutes. I dont know if this was good or bad? Scott
  11. The Agency is pushing my Federal disability employee retirement through. They put me out of federal service due to my medical conditions. The conditions which render me unemployable are service connected. Asthma Sleep apnea and sciatica. I have an IMO from my VA Doctor (which you never here of but they are allowed to do this for employment retirement so I submitted in in with the TDIU application. I meet the CFR Schedular requirements I lost my job due to my service connected medical conditions. I also have type 2 insulin dependent diabetes and service connected high blood pressure. The va doctor was very precise into why i could not sustain employment. I just was wondering if any one thought I should be ok or have any suggestions.
  12. Asking for advice or opinion. I recently was seperated from Federal Secrvice due to medical reasons. I sent the TDIU form into regional office along with employee removal letter stating for medical reasons did not pass annual physical. I sent in doctors statement which stated I could not perform my job any more due to my conditions. I meet the CFR requirements as far as percentages I am 70 total but I have a 50 for sleep apnea and 30 for asthma so those 2 are from the same etiology (respiratory system) so It would meet the CFR of at least 60. My employer helped me do the paperwork and filed for the Federal disability retirement. By the way my employer was the VA. My employer stated on the employment form 2-- something that I was removed for medical. Are my chances good and is there any time line any one else has expeienced. And one more question will it be frowned on by the VA if I collect unemployment until the retirement starts and is a pproved? Thanks Scott
  13. Well thts what I figure to. It does not say exactly wat the total was. But I thought if it was not 75 then it would be 70%. So I will have to find out for sure.
  14. Really the one thing or advice I would give to anyoe filing a claim is dont rely on your VSO or the VA. Look at 38 CFR and know where you are and what to tell the Doctor yourself. 38CFR explains where you need to be at medically for a certain percent. If you dont know the how are you going to convey to the C&P doctor. Thats what my approach was and it has worked so far. Stay on this website and read the CFR. Thanks to everyone!!!!! Scott
  15. I got 70% they did not combine sleep apnea with asthma they combined asthma with COPD and gave me 30% then 50% CPAP. Pls 20 Diabetes and 10% Hypertension. Total combined of 70%. So I wll start TDIU claim as soon as VA employee doc puts me off work. Very Happy Right Now
  16. Due to the respiratory conditions being combined I may only end up with 60%. I work at the VA as a police officer. The employee Doc probably will not pass me on my physcal due to COPD and Asthma. Which are service connected. Is there any chance of TDIU??
  17. She wanted to verify my adress for the award letter. But she did not mention anything else and I did not ask. Hopefully it will be good. Called her this morning.
  18. Ok thanks I will do that. So this is not unusual?
  19. My c&p was done opinon back to rater. C&P good Everything at least as likely as not service conncted. My rating officer called today and left a message for me to call her. Any input what this might be about?
  20. Daily Bronchiodiolater is 30% for asthma. Cpap is 50%. My question is will I just get the 50% or elevated percentege based on the asthma?
  21. I have Sleep Apnea with CPAP and Asthma use daily bronchiodialoater. Under 4.96 how would this be rated??
