  1. That is indeed great news, and I am very happy for you. Your case was done very fast; and the beauty of that is it will give other vets, with cases such as yours, critical information from the reasoning and basis area of your case file. This information is or will be posted on the BVA web site. The information will give vets a chance to read what rules and regs the Board used in reaching its decision. Many vets have simular cases and I believe the information contained in the BVA case files hold vital information that can help vets understand, and in many ways, restructure their approach in understanding their particular remand, or denial. I can remember when the VA treated me like a lazy, shiftless, no good bum. However after reading simular cases such as minds, and of course Hadit, I learned what facts I needed to pervail. Please remember when you stop, the VA stops!! Win your case!
  2. Good news: I just received my awards letter today 100% p&t with retro back to May 2001. I checked my account and the money was there, thank God! Thank you Hadit forum for all the support, and a special thank you to Bertha; I don't know if you remember what you wrote to me, but it gave me a little more light at the end of this tunnel. Thank you again folks and I will stay with Hadit to help or incourage other vets to never give up!
  3. I received a letter today from the DAV office in Washington. It basically said that I am currently rated 90% and the AMC has awarded me an additional 70% for my depression with, retro dating back to dec 2001. This will bring your total rating to 100%. In addition you have also been awarded TDIU and Chapter 35; however this is not an offical notice and the AMC reserves the right to modify the rating. Due to the large number of claims being worked, you can expect an offical letter in 2 to 4 months. If this is true I hope this is a lesson for anyone who thinks they can't win because the VA c&p doc. denied their s/c disability. I too started off at 10% for my back in 1989. I fought the VA with service records and VA records; and though turned down, denied, and put on the long hampster wheel (1989-2010) I do believe this long wait is coming to an end. Never give up, retreat is not taught in any branch of the service, and so we shall march on to victory!
  4. I was told jan 10, thru iris, that while the board granted me s/c for depression, my claim was sent to amc. I was later sent a letter from amc in dec 09 that a decision had been made and my claim file was at rating. I wrote iris about the fast letter today and their reply was rules of the fast letter does not apply in my case because my case was being handle by amc. I don't understand what is the difference?
