  1. hi my CTS is bilateral 10% right and 10% left, results from my last EMG/NCV testing shows bilateral c5 radiculopathies chronic left worse than the right, bilateral l5 radiculopathies, chronic, CTS chronic, sensorimotor. i was S/C for chronic lumbar radiculopathy/chronic neuropathic pain syndrone, RIGHT.---10%, effected date 4/April/2005 I was S/C for chronic lumbar radiculopathy,/chronic neuropathic pain syndrome. LEFT.---10%, effected 4/April/2005. It seem they lumped the lumbar radiculopathy and chronic pain syndrome togeather Left/right. with 10% for each. someone said that radiculopathy, chronic should be rated seperately. they also lumped my CTS, which i have been S/C for since 2005 10% bilateral, with cervical radiculopathy and chronic pain syndrome, LEFT/RIGHT but no increase, it is still at 10% bilateral, should i have received an increase ? AS far as my cervicogenic headaches i was S/C 10% effected date September 22, 2004 and was increased to 30% effecterd date July/8/2008. What i did with my headaches is i kept a log of every time i had a headache, what time where i was, and the date, the headaches i was getting would throw me to the ground, i would vomit, pass out, i wrote all of this in my log, i put in for an increase in 2008 and i sent on the VA a copy of my headache log, i received my increase in march 2009 30%. I also can not turn my head to the left or right.i have to turn my whole body around to see what behind me, if i make a sudden turn i wouod pass out. i hope this helps.
  2. HI to All Iposted about a week ago , but i must have done something wrong because my post did not show up ihave S/C for CTS since 2005 10% i put in a claim for chronic radiculopathy anf chronic pain syndrome, both were s/c, but they lump all three togeather, CTS/chronic radiculopathy/chronic pain syndrome, but no increase it is still at 10% bi-lateral, is ther sometihing wrong with this. maybe i am wrong, but should they be an increase since they s/c/ radiculopathy and chronic pain syndrome. I was also granted S/C for Hiatal hernia anf GERD disease 10% after years of putting in my claim. DJD of the Lumbar spine went from 20% to 40% and DJD of the cervical spine went from 20% to 30% I am S/C for cervicogenic headeach as secondary to DJD of the cervical spine since 2004, and now it has increased to 30% since 2008. my right shoulder has gone up to 30% from 20%. This one i find strange, they S/Cme for Chrinic lumbar radiculopathy, RIGHT with Chronic pain syndrome/chronic lumbar radicilopathy LEFT with chronic pain syndrome 10% bi-lateral What is lumbar RIGHT and lumbar LEFT. from what i understand chronic pain syndrome has it's own code and radiculopathy has it's own code. In September of 2008 i lost the sight in my right eye , i had three operations, bbut still i can't seeout of my right eye everything is in shadow, i cant tell flat surface from steps, anything on my right side is a complete blank, if i sign my name i have to turn to the right to see withmy left eye, i also dont have a lens because it was destroyed on my first operation from blood, they could not stop the bleeding in my for four hours, it was to be a four hour operation, but it lasted ten hours. In Octotber i received a call from the VA , telling me that they are going to but me in for A%A because of lost of sight in my right eye, because now my wife has tobe with me where ever i go, i can't drive, it's hard for me to write or as i am now useng the computer. well A%A was denied because my eye is not S/C i am not bedridden and i still have sight in my ledft eye. when they told me they wanted to put me in for A%A,i told them no because i don't want to go through the stress. but still they put me in for it. Sorry this is so long. If anyone on board cant help with the questions i would appreaciate it, Sorry for the wrong spelling on words.
  3. Hi to all Ihave not come on the hadit site for along time, have had medical problems that would not allow me to be on the site. lost the sight in my right eye for one had to have three operations, still no sight only shadows.and my left eye is failing also. so bare with me if i speel some words wrong.. My question is when is it right for the VA to combined twp or three different medical conditions and give one rating. example:they have combined chronic lumbar radiculopathy withchronic neuropathic pain syndrome, one rating of 10% going back to 2005. they have also combined CTS with chronic cervical radiculopathyrating 10% but i was already S/C for CTS at 10% since 2003. my DJD of the lumbar spine went from 20% to 40% DJD of the cervical spine went from 20% to 30% and my headeaches went from 10 to 30%. Is this how the va does it
  4. Hi I sent the form i got off of Hadit, MRC 136-01-908 medical opinion by VA providers for varo claims. on the form i put down what i am S/C for, and what i was putting in a claim for, isigned it and sent to VA-OPC Clinic, and to the doctor who diagnosed me to have depression due to chronic pain from my S/C disabilities. She sent it to my promary doctor, who in turn sent to the patient rep, the patient rep said that he would not provide the information to me, but that they would give me a medical certificate. I have read the VHA directive. Can anyone tell me why they wont fill out the form, and would a medical certificate be helpful to me. all input welcome.
  5. Hi retired You would need to get a fasting blood test and have them check your t-3, t-4, tsh,and ft-4 levels, if they are high you need to see a thyroid doctor, along with that if you suffering from being tired all the time gaining weight, muscles sore, dont want to do anything, make sure you tell your doctor. I had my throid gland removed due to cancer, i have a claim in with the va under AO, Thyroid cancer is not on the list yet, bur if does get on the list you would have an early effected date, my claim has been in about 14 month's, i have not heard the va yet.
  6. Hi I had an appointment at the pain clinic yesterday, spent about two hours with the pain doctor, he went over all my MRI's goingh back to 2000, but the first thing he said was that the wrist and leg and back braces were the wrong braces for me, i told him that they were issued by the va. he said i should be measured for special brases for my conditions, he also did an exam for about twenty minutes.asked about how long i was having pain , gave him a pain #, had another pain doctor come in and look me over, like getting a second opinion. He gave me a diagnoses of Chronic neouropatic pain syndrome or chronic pain syndrome due to the fact that i had cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, cervicogenic headaches, CTS all chronic to include chronic arthritis of all joints. he recommented to the Va to be put on D-Trans patches and added a medication called LYRICA. he also recommeded that i be sent to a sleep center to check out my sleep patterens i told the pain doctor that have interupted sleep that i sleep about four hour a night and that's with sleep medication.. The VA PSY doctor had diagnosed me with chronic depression due to chronc pain, she told me to put in claim for the depression. Should i wait for the results from the sleep center[if the va ever approves for me to be tested] or should i just go ahead with the claim? My neuro doctor diganosed me with Occipital neuralgia secondary to chronic cervical spondylosis. would appreaceiate and input.

S.Sgt James r. Grissinger 2. Spec/4 Charles E. Taylor 3. Spec/4 Jack L. Morris 4. PFC William E. Morris I was with the CAv at the time we were sent to the Z. there was a firefight with four north korean , but nobody was killed, they made it back to the north. we stayed on the Z for fourteen days, patrolling the American sector of the Z Hope the name help.
  10. Hi I also was diagnosed with DISH about three years ago, and also warned about falls, i don't have Diabetes, but i do have CAD, i also did not put in a claim for this because i am S/C for arthritis, i fugured the VA would say it's all part of the same arthritis, i dont want to go through ten years of fighting with the Va about this.
  11. Hi I was diagnosed with TB in 69 in Korea, was put on medication for a year, no more time test, i was told later i have inactive TB. a few months later i caught infection mononucleosis it really hit me hard, tired all the time fevers swollen lymph nodes, to this day i get swollen lymph under my arms, Last year i was put in the hospotal because of chronic fatigue, fevers, sore muscles, rash on my legs, again the doctors said it was Mono, and that i will carry the virus for the rest of my life, i told the doctor i had Mono in 1969, they were shock that i had a relaps if Mono, i did not think i could get it again, i had a PFT test done about two years ago by the Va bercause i was complaining of wheezing when i lay down or go to sleep the test results were that i had a restrictive ventilatory defect in my lungs, i was put on inhealers, but i still have the wheezing at night or whenever i lay down. would the TB and the MONO and the defect be the cause of my wheezing, i dont smoke, i stoped smoking forty years ago. should i have Va take another look at this, since both the TB and Mono virus will never leave my body.
  12. Hi Berta Congratulation on your graduation, you deserve it, and thank you for helping me over the years with my claims. I dont come on the site much anymore, thing are slowly slipping away from me. and i get so angery. sometime i read the site, but i dont comment to much. I received a letter from the AMC in Washington,DC but i forgot to open it untill yesterday. i will just give you the top three lines. We are writing to let you know that the Appeals Management Center{AMC} will be developing additional evidence concerning your appeal, remanded by the Board of Veterans Appeals {BVA}. The AMC, rather than your local regional office, will be developing your appeal. Is this a good thing or a bad thing. I sent New evidence to my service office{DAV} in DC,he sent me an e-mail that he received the evidence and read it and that he took the evidence to the AMC office and to discuss the evidence and put it in my file, he, my service officer and a AMC officer are going over my file, whatever that means. Again Berta congratulation, your one in a million. Patrick
  13. Hi to all My claim that was remanded was for Barretts Esophagus secondery to chronic gastritis. the BVA remanded the claim to AMC because they disagree with the opinion of ther va doctor because she was a pulmonary doctor not a gastro doctor, the va doctor also did not take into consideration that i was diagnosed wth a hiatal hernia and hiatal insufficiency in service three times, which could be a factor and a cause of me getting BE due to reflux of acid into the Esophagus due to the Hiatal hernia, so they want an opinion from a gastroenterologist. the also want to know why i was not given a VA exammination by a gastro doctor with an opinion before my file went to the BVA. In 1997 i was service connected for chronic gastritis 10% I put in for an increase in 2000 i had a C&P diagnosed with Chronic Gastritis Hiatal hernia in the esophagus and gastric erosions in the esophagus. Increase to 30%. In 2002 has a va exam i has a endoscopy done diagnosed with chronic gastritis, hiatal hernia, barretts esiohagus, Esophagitis grade-4 with massive ulceration with stricture. so i put in a claim for Barretts esophagus secondary to chronic Gastritis, since 2002 to 2007 my claim has been going on and i have diagnosed with Barretts four more time the last time it was Barretts withchronic metaplasia. For me to eat food i have to put it in the blender because i can't swallow solid food, not a great way to enjoy a whoppper with cheese.
  14. Hi to all Can you ask the AMC to make a decision on remanded claims and not sending it back to the VA for them to make a decision. Can i put in a claim for Hiatal Hernia, diagnosed in service twice with Hiatal Hernia and also twice on C&P exams, va did nothing about it.Along with this i was also diagnosed with Gastritis, Gastro reflux disease and peptic ulcer disease. On my remand the VBa does not agree with the opinion of the va doctor because she is a pulmonary doctor and gave an opinion without looking at my va records, otherwise she would have notice that i was diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia twice in service and Gerd disease, the bva wants an opinion from a gastro doctor, an expert in the field of gastro problems.
  15. I had BVA hearing in OCT 2006, two calim were remanded to AMC, four weeks ago sent an e-mail to AMC to check on status of remanded claims, received answer three days ago, it said we can not give you any informations on your claims over the internet for sucurity reasons, then they gave me a toll-free number to call, i live in the Phillippines there is no such thing as a toll-free number here. The Number they gave me was: 1-866-258-0341. I called that number but could not get in contact with anyone. I am also sending on new evidence to them by way of my DAV rep in Washington. Is the above number the right number?
