If you receive SMC L 1/2 PLUS SMC K, do you automatically qualify for SMC P?

has anyone ever gotten approve for a clothing allowance due to topical analgesic creams. if so which creams did you get approved for. thank you....

backpay hit bank acct this afternoon.

congrats mom24 on your award and backpay, i found out today i received mine too ( backpay ) they supposed to have deposited last night. but it never showed up, ssa said give it a couple more days and it will be in you bank acct. once again congrats mom24.......

mom24 congrats , i talked to ssa today and they said finance sent my backpay direct deposit to my bank today and it wasn't there. we talked to the bank on 3 way and it didn't get deposited last night at midnight. so ssa said give it a day or so and then it will show up but my backpay took 20 days from the day i received my decision letter from the alj to get processed. now i just have to wait for it to show up in my bank acct.

i called the 800# today at social security and the guy gave me all my financial informaton. he gave me my backpay amount, monthly amount, my kids monthly amounts, what the lawyer was getting, how much they was taking out for medicare. is this a good sign that my money is coming soon.

thanks for the replies, i hear vets say it usually takes about 30 days or less to receive your backpay. and sometimes it gets deposited into your bank before you receive your award letter.

how long does it take to get your ssdi backpay after you received your fully favorable decision? has anyone been through this process before, advice needed.

i called social security today and they me a decision was made on my case but the judge hasn't signed off on it yet. she said it will be a week or so before a get something in the mail about a decision. has anyone been through this before after going through a hearing before a alj.

the alj sent a letter out on the 11th of june stating that he was putting this ce exam report into evidence. he also stated that he was given my lawyer (10 days ) from the date of this letter to turn in any more additonal evidence he wanted to consider in this case or i will then issue my decision. friday the 19th of june my lawyer called odar and told them we didn't have any additonal evidence to turn so procede with the case. so how long do you think it take the alj to make a decision on my case. alj hearing march 27, 2009 ce exam june 10, 2009 10day deadline june 21, 2009

this was written by a orthopedic ssa dr requested by an alj : he is able to get off the exam table with difficulty by himself. there is decreased range of motion of the cervical spine. he can fully flex his cervical spine to 50 degrees, 0 degrees of extension, 30 degrees of lateral flexion and 50 degrees of rotation, more to the left than the right. there is moderate tenderness to palpation of the cervical spine and the trapezius muscles bilaterally. there is full range of motion of all joints in all four extremities except for his shoulders that he can only raise to 90 degrees due to the pain from his neck. grip strength is decreased and equal bilaterally (3/5) due to pain in his hands from his neck. there are decreased fine motor and gross motor skills in both hands, again due to pain from his neck. he has a tremor in both hands, worse on the right than the left. the patient can flex at the waist to 20 degrees, extend 3 degrees and laterally flex 5 degrees. there is moderate tenderness to palpation of the lumbar spine. straight leg raises are positive bilaterally, at 5 degrees on the right and 10 degrees on the left. the patient is able to walk across the room with a rolling walker with a very antalgic gait. the patient cannot walk on his toes and heels. he cannot do tandem walking. he cannot squat down. limitations of adl's and work activities: he has severe pain in his neck and lumbar spine with radiation into his extremities. he walks with a rolling walker. diagnosis: herniated lumbar disc, probable herniated cervical disc, morbid obesity, ptsd, hypertension, gerd can anyone give me there input on this report written by the ssa dr that was given to the alj.

my ce exam ( physical ) is next wednesday, has anyone ever gone to the alj hearing and back to a ce exam. can anyone tell me what the ssa dr might be looking for on the exam, and will my decision be up to the ssa dr report.

received letter today from ssa telling me that my ce exam is on june 10, 2009 with the same dr i had 3 yrs ago, is this a good thing or a bad thing?

pete, my last ce exam was done july 26, 2006 and she stated that i can not do anything that required walking, stooping, bending or lifting.

social security told me today that alj wants me to have another orthopedic ce exam before he makes his decision on my case. he dosen't want me to take a mental ce exam just the orthopedic one. is this normal after a hearing and has anyone been through this before.

after your hearing, how long does it usually take to get a decision from a judge?

thanks yoggie, like i was saying he didn't ask no questions pertaining to my limitations, just my military background. i guess now its the big waiting game.

had my hearing today in front of the alj, it was supposed to start at 1:30pm and didn't start until 1:50pm. my lawyer started with all the questions pertaining to limitations on what i can't do. he asked about daily activies, outside chores, medications i take (side effects)(mental & pain ) who pay all the bills, cook all the food and you name it. the alj only asked me things about the military, where was i stationed at, how many medals did i have, what was my rank when i left the army, what was my sc disability when i was discharged, what is my disability now. my lawyer gave the alj my 100% iu award letter on the spot because social security didn't have mine in there records. he also asked me when did i receive my 100% before my lawyer gave him the paperwork. the hearing ended at 2:25pm, lasted 35 minutes. the alj said he will get in touch with my lawyer after he reviews the notes. there was no voc rehab guy at the hearing or medical specialist, just the alj, clerk, me and my layer. what's my chances and what's next and how long????????
