  1. Don't feel bad. My claim went to the rating board Dec 08, and as of today it is still there. I filed in Georgia, but after 90 days at the rating board I was told that Georgia was so far behind that my claim was sent to S. Carolina to be rated. Sorry, but there is no set time. I know 3 people who retired and filed 2 months after me(same state) and all have had their decisions for months now. Their cases took on average about 5 months from start to finish. I'm on month 9 and still waiting. Just keep your fingers cross. It's a hurry up and wait game. .
  2. You will get that generic letter every couple of months. My case has been at the rating board awaiting a decision since Dec 08. As of today still no decision. Hang in there.
  3. Has anyone ever had this happen? I submitted my initial claim to the regional office in Atlanta Ga. I called to check on the status and was told that it was at the rating board waiting a decision. It has been there since 9 Dec 08. I called my veteran service rep, and he said my claim was in South carolina at the rating board, and it was sent there the begining of March 09. Why would they send it to another state? Why so long at the rating board?
