Good Morning All I am new to the forum. I am having some problems with PTSD and related psych issue. I am sure that you can help me out. This is what I have going on in the psych department. In March of 2006 I was diagnosed with 309.81 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chronic and 305.00 Alcohol Abuse. Based on this I was given 30% disability. In July I was given a neuropsych exam by the Voc Rehab folks. They gave me this result. Axis 1, 300.00 Mixed Anxiety Disorder with elements of PTSD, Panic Disorder, and Social Phobia, 314.9 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder NOS, and 294.9 Cognitive Disorder affecting short term memory of uncertain etiology. Axis II, V71.09 Axis III, Chronic pain related to left knee, right hand and cervical spine Axis IV, Psychosocial and Environmental Problems: Problems with adjusting to civilian life, vocational problem Axis V, Global Assessment of Functioning Scale 65. I am taking welbutrin and Xanax daily. I tend to pass out a lot with little notice. I am turning into a hermit. I got fired from a job in Feb of 2007, I sort of exploded. Since then I am working well below my ability. I am using Voc Rehab benefits to go to school but I don't remember much of what I study. I am having lots of trouble remembering the names of common objects. I transpose numbers constantly. When I used to drink I would get really angry. I quit. The VA know nothing of this second evaluation. I am not sure if I should make an additional claim. Would this information push the 30% higher? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Dale
