  1. John, I just turned 48. I do have my military retirement(CRSC) and VA compensation now. Not many bills and some money in the bank. How long does the whole process take?? I figure i have at least 2 more years left in me then who knows.
  2. John, I was offered TDIU in 2007 and turned it down because i felt it would let the bad guys (terrorists) win so i continue to work. I work for the federal govt and i work with all retired people so i get some brakes there. Its just getting hard to do my work effectively and i feel as though im not pulling my weight. Im not a slacker and i dont want anything i dont deserve. its just getiing harder with all my injuries and surgeries to perform at the level i expect myself to be at. Carlie, No he doesnt have me thinking that...he has explained everything in detail. He is just very busy and doesnt get back to me for weeks when i have questions and that is what frustrates me...........
  3. thanks for info Carlie... John999, I would like to be 100% schedular as that would be nice. i really just want it all properly documented just in case something goes wrong with me. As far as the appeal my VSO told me this is how its done and i feel as though im just along for the ride. I really dont like not having any control over all this.
  4. Well my appeal has been at the local VA office since May of 2010. Just sitting there is guess hoping i will give up. My VSO keeps saying just be patient but im running low on patience. Im appealing to get my Sleep anea service connected. My issue is while on active duty my sleep studies both said i have severe sleep disturbance but didnt say sleep anea since that would cause me to have to have a MEB. The fix was sleeping pills which i have been on ever since and that was in 1996. Funny though as soon as I retired sleep apnea came right out and i was immedietely put on a CPAP. The VA ia also wanting more evidence that my face was broken, i guess the medical records of me getting blown up in Saudi Arabia wasnt enough.
  5. Thanks Carlie, Im already diagnosed with PTSD but i have numerous signs of TBI. Also my VSO is really slow and i was wondering if i can put in a new claim while i have a claim under appeal??
  6. Can a person have PTSD and a TBI?????
