  1. :) 10/1 iu deferred due to receipt of va form 21-8940 11/1 mailed form in the va priorty mail.return receipt arrive at va 11/6 call 800 on 11/30 they received 21-8940 ok good send request via iris form arrived va on 11/15 still working on it received letter va 12/20 iu denied no receipt of va form, ???????? any info helpful , send iris today asking them to verify. the vsr is not check folder any comments tks
  2. back in 4/09 filed for increase as my condition worsen did not file for iu althrough my rating was 70%, 10/09 increased to 90% , part of the rating decision stated : entitlement to iu is deferred they told me to send in va 21-8940. i wonder what are my chances for iu, will my claim for iu go back to the end of the line? if approved for iu back pay to 4/09.......they paid me already the difference between 70 and 90%. tks for you help....
  3. back in 4/09 i submitted 21-4138 for increased benefits as my condition has worsen. i am submitted new evidence to support for new conditon of chronic spondyloarthopathy secondary to psoriatic arthritis and for increased evaluation for psoriatic arthritis. additionally is submitted range of motion test and degentative bone disease associated with sponyloarthropathy/psoriatic arthritis. i submited mri, cervical xrays,/with results plus drange of motion test from pt, letter from rheumatologist. so i got my ltr to for c/p for psoriatic arthritis lumbar/cervical spine asociated with psoriasis. can anyboby explain this to me. tks
  4. larry - sorry if I dont make sense - when i submitted my claim back in 8/08 the va just reviewed the rheumatologist records about my conditions over a 10 year period. so they increased to 70%. since my filing my condition has worsen to support this : took x-rays, range of motion test of my neck, and his the doc let saying my condition is chronic. i wrote a letter to to va ( iguess informal claim) attached all the letters requesting an increase. rec call yesterday asking me what i wanted, so i am the process of rewriting another letter as for revaltion of my sc as it has increased in severity. my question what type of claim should it be as I just got the new info recently doc ltr etc. i think i am confusing the issue can you help me sort it out and give me proper direction tks larry
  5. need info about filing claiming for increase benefits: he goes ; 93 after retirement uscg, va approved 20% psoriasis. my condition has gotten worse over the years. 8/08 submit claim for inceased c/p , approved 1/09 70%. i am requesting increase in benefits as my condition has worsen. Have letter from rheumatologist: says my condition is chronic: letter from radilogy degenerative changes have progressed significantly since 9/01. {spurring, osteophytic impingement) ltr from naval hosp about range of motion result: not good. ALL OF THESE LTR i HAVE GOTTEN HAS BEEN RECEIVED AFTER MY APPROVAL. I want to submitted this new info before the 1 year mark, ? not sure what happens, Do i have to take and c/p exam? my question now is do I send this info as secondary condition to what the va approved me for??? appreicate all you help. also any comments about format for writing ltr for increase.

  7. nothing mention about extraschedular rating, what is that plese. i was rated 70 in jan 09 just got the letter from the doctor who is a board cert rheumatologists in feb mention 2 times in the letter that my condition was chronic i have been seeing him over 10 yrs now in march in requested that my file be reopend and the letter be submitted as add info on me tks for you help
  8. general question - rated 60 psoriasis/20 ankylosis total 70%.. finally received ltr from doctor stating my condition was chronic. have reoped my case. the question how big of effect if any the word "chronic" would mean to my case for an increase?
