You can use secure message in myhealthevet   to email your Hospital Director  you or you spouse  .....> well she can type it out for ya!!

If the VA  Advocates are of no help  use secure message.

I didn't type this clear, answer... this happened many years ago.... and learned never to try it again, using an outside source...… nothing today from outside sources...

So for my remand/grant may 2018.  I just finished my last C&P for it and we will see how long this part takes now.  I know it sucks waiting, but there are a few things you could do.

I wrote my senator to get my grant applied.  Which I have noticed every time somethings gets does there is working being done on my case.

I also contacted the WH hotline I also called the BVA regularly to see where my case was at.

Did you put in for a hardship request?

short answer, yes, the judge asked me too if I asked for hardship and homebound. The POA never helped with any requests like that I had to ask for hardship.. also at the c%p for homebound. My life has either been tied to the bathroom or bedroom.

Since the claim is moving along, I am not going to call those hotlines, it hurts thinking about it all. Like they said, if you don't have mental issues going in, you will coming out.

You may want to go see the Hospital Director about how your treated in your new VAMC ,how the Dr's are neglecting your questions ect,,,ect,,,

We got a new director and his office door in always open to us vets if we have problems with anything,  he gets things done   hopefully yours will too.

I think next month congress is suppose to pass the outside free care for us veterans that are having problems the VA s not addressing..but as always we will have to wait and see?

I had very bad experiences with outside care and billing,,, had bad experience with Kaiser before that.... no sure about al that, yes, maybe, but for now to sick,, in agony,,, can't think..... too much to bear...

  4. I am curious,,,, how far behind is the action taken in the remand and the time it takes for them to show it on va.gov. Is from action taken days, weeks, or months ago? how up to date it? if known, of course,, a guesstimate?

others,, it looks to me like they used the TCE chemicals for the decisions for my claims, not as much as the Jet Fuel, Gasoline, Diesel. Or maybe they used some of all but most TCE.

Complicated, but I was exposed and sick on active duty from the fuels first, then the doctors told my command not more then the next command I was assigned to had me working with TCE, and then I got sick again, and the doctors again said no more contact.

My BVA judge was good to me in my live hearing. I felt good about the hearing by the time it was over. I have no clue if he is still on my case, since a few years is passing by.

Of course I have questions about why some things are addressed in some ways, but to me it looks like al is going pretty good. The thing that sucks, is even though he asked the BA to speed up my case because of illness hardship, the remands are taking years.

if I don't answer things correctly here in the forum, I am sorry, I am doing the best I can without posting my life story and private details. I am being forthright as I can.

And, the last, I have not been through the BVA before, so this is new to me, and am giving the BVA wide breach, as they look to have my interests in their motives for how they are doing this.

If something is missing or not included, there must be a reason.

I feel so sick, I feel horrific and the fight is killing me as much as the diseases.

Maybe it is being worked on so I get the best benefits. Like scheduler 100% PT  plus SMC (for the needing homecare and home bound? I don't know.)

maybe if they do it the wrong way I will miss out or it will drag on past what life I have left

yes, that is stupid, no one know how long I have left. I sound like drama queen, but through my experience, the surgeons talked to me about lifespan, and I went past what they thought I had.

I spend almost al my time sick out of my mind and horrible, and thinking is very difficult

  5. oh, yeah,, they called me back after a month, they said they messed up the exams and told me I had to come back and repeat some. I did. Imagine going back again being treated like garbage with necrotizing pancreatitis, liver disease, and Parkinsons. When I was an inpatient I did everything they asked of me. When I was an outpatient for 20 years I did everything they asked of me. Same with the other doctors and hospitals before then. (I was called mentally ill and a drug seeker, and according to them nothing was wrong. I am just bad, and liar when I said I had intestinal disease. A drug seeker. Had enough yet? How much longer? How much suffering must I take?

  6. the c&p exams were in 2017.  one of the doctor refused to answer my questions, I asked what did he know about me so I could know here to start, because I have an excessively long story. he was nasty and said I don't have time to  a lot of talk. Another doctor spoke,, I think it was Pakistani.. I couldn't under stand him. neither could my wife. The shrink said he didn't have time and got nasty when I asked where to start... and asked if I was going to kill myself. I never found out what they knew so I would know where to begin. I lived in a va hospital for 6 months and I spent 20 year talking to different doctors. Many I volunteered as they kept telling me my diseases were in head and am a drug seeker. You can see where this is going with their horrible C&P b.s. Dog and pony show.

  7. the big thing I don't understand is in the 1990's I opened a claim for Intestinal disease, this was a long time many years before the hospitalizations for necrotizing pancreatitis and liver diseases. So, they don't have pancreatitis in here, and my 1151 is in remand status,.... so, it only show irritable bowel.. I can only guess that the BVA judge is working all this correctly, and the pancreatitis is tied to the 1151. That part I didn't post,,, I only posted the issues part, the remand part.. the Parkinsons was tied to the chemcials, and looks like they used more of the TCE (Trichloroethylene) than the Fuels... and Parkinsons.

Also, since they saw me with the diseases while in the hospital for 6 months and the home care nurses also saw and reported my Parkinsons.. and also the many, many visits to neurology over the years. had they  not actually seen it, they might have fought me harder. Most of the quickie c&p type exams just blew it off,, and if I had to depend on a c%p I would never get anything granted.

  8. Here is where my claims stand, not sure how long they have been at this stage, as the first time I saw this page was about a month ago,, before then I was looking at eBenefits, and found out that ebenefits is defunct.. phased out, and found more up to date info on my va.gov account :

  9. I wish I could say more to help others with timelines,, but mine was a really bad long wait, and huge problems along the way.. probably not able to help many others because it seems it was unusual. Most people don't have all my issues. I can say though, you must stick with it,, you must be your own advocate, no one else will get you through this. If they could I would not have gone through so much for so long. I will have more answers in the coming months of what it all ends up being rated...

A big part of the diagnosis was not just seeing one or two doctors,, I have been going through this since the first day... al the way back to active duty and seeing doctors for neurological issues... and then living in the hospital as an inpatient got their attention because they actually saw me go through it, instead of me trying to explain.... if they don't see it, and many times, then, they don't put at much weight and help for you... it takes years of begging doctors help and years of tests...… this goes with every disease and injury.. so, plan on going a lot complaining a lot, and see lots of doctors... and have lots of documentation in your hands.. IMHO

  10. not sure if I am jumping this to fast, but is shows about 6 to 8 contentions on this website with my va account.  va.gov/track-claims/  ... there was one that said Granted (in green type):

    Quote

    Parkinsons

. For many years I have been seeing neurologists and trying to find out what the heck I have.

Since I never saw this page and info before, since it says that, and it is on the list of item with the BVA judge. The others have not yet been decided. I have problems trying to explain my health problems because my body does weird things,, numb, pain, uncontrollable moving....  since the doctors and nurses saw me with this for many months, it was in the records... if no one saw it they would probably say I was lying.

the bigger issues.... (at this stage)

    necrotizing pancreatitis .

at the time of my active duty and later, it was gastritis, then pancreas disease... he does not have pancreatitis listed, he has irritable bowel disease listed.. maybe it means the VA judge is going back to the beginning before it was diagnosed later as pancreas disease and liver disease,, also the many other issues with skin and swelling of the limbs,, and many more.. then the 1151 from the pancreas surgery gone wrong.

does this format and info look familiar to others? like one of the issues with granted in green ? (for your case and issues).

I know this sounds weird and strange to most people, but even the worst diagnosis is better than no diagnosis,,, when you don't have an explanation, you are left out flapping in the wind...

Thanx for listening to my yapping..

    Steven

  11. I found more info on my claim, seems way more up to date:

va.gov/track-claims/your-claims. if this site truly is more up to date, it shows more progress than the others website with the BVA decision cases.

This one at va.gov/track-claims/… shows my cases is actually back with a BVA judge, and I am not sure if I am reading it right, so I am not going to say anything until I know for sure, as I would really screw up my morale if I got it wrong.. it wound me up like a rusted spring going to blow apart...

It also seems they are very racist and discriminatory on who they SC and want to help. I have been homeless and am on the verge of becoming homeless again. I have had extreme difficulty getting and keeping a job due to my conditions since being discharged, but yet they denied me 10 years ago. And even now, they are trying to find loopholes and putting words in my mouth in my file. I have seen all kinds of craziness they want to fund and help from hoodlums on drugs to funding gender reassignment treatment. Beyond my understanding. God help our country.

no (*& they do want to fund the crazy b.s. with the nuts wanting things sown on and wacked off, but screw the rest of us with the left overs.... sorry, couldn't help,, so many years of the b.s. from these  so called good people at the VARO's.

  13. I have children and don't want them to do things that are bad.. and they have been very good, but I believe that al the suffering and going without without help from the va my child go to go to a private school which gave her an excellent education, away from the pressures and b.s. and public schools... and stayed away from drugs and it paid off for all of us... Up here in Oregon they al have tons of pot.... good for them..... I just don't want or like people who are relatively healthy giving me advice on drugs, pot, etc..... take it, but leave me out..... and if  they get really sick with horrific diseases, then take it and let me know how it works out for you.... until then,,, please no advice..... spent my of my life suffering and dealing with quack doctors and bogus meds and va liars.... yes I am jaded, but I also grew up in the 1960's and 1970's and see how communities end up with drugs and have family members who died from drugs.... I am happy to say my records are clean, and that most likely the va searches through your records to dig up dirt on you to see if they can screw you out of benefits if you were bad.. and naughty..... after all they seem to get off of denying disabled vets benefits... anyways,, so tired of people pushing pot, oils, dead chickens voodoo.. and everything else.... life has sucked enough just from the va lies and tricks.. don't need to add more b.s. for them to use against me, and I don't want to be stoned while extremely sick.... even if I wasn't stoned I don't want the stuff..... unqualified people spread anything they hear as fact.... IMHO

  14. Please, stop saying pot kills pain. Back it with study for it to be fact. As far as I know it is opinion. I am extremely annoyed and pissed when people who say this or push this. I know real pain, and people that have never experienced great suffering have some inside knowledge that sick people were never told? I have limited options with pancreatic disease and pain, not to mention spinal disease, liver disease, etc... and know that pot only got me high, had no help at all with pain, and the other stuff people make and spread saying it is medicinal are full of it. Someone, please only use it as opinion in posts and discussions. If you have references from professional studies post the reference. People that are freaking out looking for pain relief, might buy into this pot and pain stuff, and offer them false hope, well that sucks. When suffering greatly, people have to find any and all help to rid themselves of horrific pain, and if people keep saying it as fact, it better be fact. If it works for some people, good for you! Enjoy a normal life.. but it never helped me and I hate the feeling of it... I would be very sick and high at the same time, which is misery for me. I have my own issues with the morons (like those bogus pain clinics who think they can stop pain with mind control, but notice the people running them are not in severe pain, yes been through those) who are screwing me out of pain meds that took 20 years to find what works through trial and error, now all of the people on the opiate crusades are trying to stop sick people from taking them because other people made bad choices. People can be dangerous to others just for pushing their agenda. Without thought to the people they are harming. If it works good for you, but please, only use facts, not opinions. Personal responsibility!

I and the crew of the USS Mount Vernon (LSD-39) were all exposed to JP5 in 1991.  The sounding tube for the for the JP5 tank passed through a potable water tank. The sounding tube rusted out contaminating our water source. We ate, drank, bathed and wore JP5 for just under 2 weeks. Currently I'm dealing with headaches, hand tremors and a thyroid issues since 2002. I'm hoping others can give helpful feedback and possible insights.

I got sick from petro chemicals on active duty and got sick (on active duty and later developed pancreatic disease along with the diseases you mentioned). My appeals went through the BVA and is the remand hamster wheel. If you want to discuss further let me know. Anyone  or those that know my posts, knows I have been in this fight for decades. I wish I had an outcome to help others, but until this is settled, I can't say what works. If I say something that is not 100% correct, or an opinion, it could cause others more pain, so I will wait until this is settled if ever. It should be very close as my BVA hearing with the judge was several years ago. He kept remanding my case back to the R.O. telling them to do their job. I am very jaded and bitter from the VA. But, I bet it is a high percentage that got this way from the B.S.

I got an email notification for a new post in this topic and one other topic-

I did some research but I guess it doesn't matter- in any event here is the crew list roster for the USS Mount Vernon- some vets have their email addys there - for the dates of 1990 and 1991- that the notification poster might need.

To Add "Stretch" -in this thread-was apparently one of the veterans severely misdiagnosed by the impaired pathologist at Fayetteville AR  VAMC  the current total is 12 possible deaths and multiple negligence causing additional disability  to other living veterans.

The Fayetteville VA  travesty is searchable here-

His surviving spouse has filed a FTCA for wrongful death. Stretch died of lung cancer that apparently ,due to wrong pathology reports, was never caught in time to be treated.

    Berta,

Thank you for posting, as it helps as it sent an email saying there was a new post in this thread and matter. Interest to me and others.

  17. I wish I could inject ang give my diseases to people like this.... which makes me sound like the evil one... **sigh** and to think, the RO people gave him the benefits that they deny us all day every day.... I know this is cynical, but maybe he paid them off.... I can't think of many other ways to get claims approved....

  18. yes, that looks like it, the BVA judge did help straiten out the facts with chemicals that were left out bye he VARO and additional chemical that were in my 2nd job after I lost my first. And got sick again, The judge agreed and sympathized again and again. MY problem is there are no doctors who specialize in the areas, that I can find, who can write the IMO. The doctor the wrote my first IMHO< was impossibly expensive and inflexible on direction for the great-less-then, part. I have asked if anyone knew of a doctor who could write the iMO and was completely unsuccessful, and I searched hard with the Internet a few months after I learned to eat and walk again I spent months researching and sending out notes and calling. I asked more legal people for any help in finding the doctors needed for an IMO< no one could help find me an IMO type doctor. I tried very hard. Most doctor just don't have the credentials for my problems. The ones that did are the ones that did my surgery. The Indian doctor at one of my C%P's was worthless. I think they VA was not happy with him either, I think they fired him after my C&P. Really, no joke, they called me back to re-do that c&p.

I told the VA judge in a letter of what the surgeons told me. I spent hours with the surgeons. They are not only surgeons but professors at the medical school next door. They work at the VA as surgeons and oversee the GI department for pancreas related surgeries. They wrote my records for my hospital stay and recovery and they surmised the cause of how I ended up with the pancreatic disease. My issue is finding those note in the boxes. Very difficult to read these medical records from those surgeons. These surgeons were my IMO. or my first IMO.

No one else can find me another place or doctor that that can or will.

The VA was trying to say I inherited neurological issues from my father who served in the navy. That was crazy, but nothing I can do they are just trying more dirty tricks to see what they can try and destroy.

They can't get past the remand stage because they can't find a doctor to write what they want them to write, doctor shopping by the BVA.

The mental meds were given to me because at that time they considered me mentally ill and making up my problems. I kept telling them those meds made me sick, after they found the pancreas disease (was real and not imagnied) they stopped trying to make me take those meds.

I still feel like the judge was pulling for me with the evidence he was given. But for I know he maybe retired or move don after a few years. I don't know.

I feel confident the truth is on my side. it still tears me apart. maybe I read it al wrong I don't know I can no longer think with a clear straight thought process, so maybe I am not able to see it properly.

I tried and tried I asked and asked, there are no doctors either able or willing to help with another IMO.

The fuels parts was fixed, the bva judge through remands made the VARO add the other chemicals and they are no longer left out or in depute. The diseases they cause are not in dispute. So, I progressed there and those issues are no longer questioned.

I had several issues added too, Housebound, teeth, al the chemicals added that were purposely ignored by the VARO. The skin problems are no longer in dispute.

I maybe 100% wrong I don't know, but from my end and what I know after the communications and sending in more documents from doctors that worked on me.... I feel better. It's all these remands. Not even sure if those are still in play.

Next time I want to cry some more I will try to go through those boxes and see if I can find the exact note from my surgeon regarding the words he said to me about chemicals causing the pancreas to necrotize. I don't know if they left it out, but I do know that everything that happened while living at the VA< they recorded every word, every thought... if these records had been digitized I could just type in search. I have software that can scan them, but it is monumental task with a home computer and scanner.

Thanx,,, I guess we might get lucky and get a good decision very soon !

  19. sorry, I don't think that was mine,, wrong date... mine was 2008. I think I saw the one you looked at.. I can give you a docket number.. but not out in the open.... my stuff is in remand land. If you do want the docket info, just let me know and I will PM you with it..... I just recently looked at it myself... basically it list the remands and it says they need to find doctors capable of the C&P's. Sounds like they are doctor shopping...

Berta ( Hadit and all ) I really appreciate the help you give... having someone that can think straight look at things helps a lot.. I really don't have anyone that does this.... no one I know,, and the POA can't spend the time...

  20. I never added this info: and I tried to find it in my papers, but I ended up adding more to the BVA, when they did a remand to the VARO and asked if I had more to add. I wet to my POA, and added this info:

    1) When I was in the VA hospital for 6 months, the doctors and surgeons met with me every morning to discuss tests and procedures. I had test and procedures just about every day and night. The surgeons always drilled me, interrogated, discussed, and they kept begging me to tell them what jobs I held, and what materials did I have contact with. I told them al my jobs and about all the chemicals. They always demanded to know if I drank alcohol. And if I smoked, The answer it no to both I told them. of course I was extremely sick in almost every interrogation. And laying in my hospital bed unable to move on my own. I told them I got sick on active duty and work with the chemicals I went through the ones I told about in here. They told me several times that the only way to get this disease was to either be an alcoholic and or smoker. They asked about the chemicals. They told me they had no idea my pancreas had already been destroyed before they started surgery. They told me they found out it was destroyed when they went in and it was already like rotten Jello. Which led to the internal bleeding and block veins and arteries to my liver and heart (Portal vein thrombosis, Splenic Vein Thrombosis, and also Budd Chiari Syndrome). Plus six months tube fed into my intestines. That is when I lost almost al muscles and could no move, walk, talk, and some disease took over my nervous system and my arms and legs just waved around in the air if I tried to move. I told them I begged for help and have been unable to work since the age of 30 years old and could only lay around and sleep and lived with severe pain and diarrhea all these years. I told them the doctors only would tell me nothing was wrong and kept sending me to head doctors. Of course I tried to find the comments in my records, but there is no database and hand searching through boxes of records is extremely difficult.

    2) The dentist/surgeons that removed al my teeth at once wrote on their medical documents surgery was performed to removed my teeth because intestinal disease destroyed my teeth.

I sent these documents to the BVA when they told me I had 30 days to send in any additional documents. of course they always had the dental records for Loma Linda Medical University, Dental School which did my surgery for the teeth. The VA knew my teeth were melting and breaking from the acid and intestinal disease. But when I begged for help I as kicked out of the office and my mouth had melting broken pieces and blood for several years. The judge had asked me at the BVA hearing why I hadn't asked for dental claims too.

I wish I had the surgeons comments written and signed by them, but the circumstances were really bad me lying in the death bed. And not knowing it was a Golden opportunity to get a document from two of the top surgeons in the field for pancreatic surgery.

At least I got this info with copies of my statements and any official documents I had. And again, I had sent the VA everything and plus they already have their own copies, but they never read any documents. The BVA did and does.

Well, another year has passed since that all happened.

The last I know is that they had remands going and my C&P's were at least two years ago. maybe three years. I asked many time sin letters and asked POA's about getting help moving because of the diseases I have. Expedited, but that never seemed to get me any help. But I read it is being expedited. At least that seemed to be in the documents I found while searching the docket number for my case.

I just read something while I did a search on the Internet :

' how many repeat remands can the bva send to the varo ' (for lack of better phrasing, as I was wondering how long they can just toss it back and forth without actually doing anything)

I found these on the web: (worth reading, for those that haven't)

  21. I was trying to go through my papers, still haven't read them all, even after the years going by,, these break my heart and rip me apart.. my records of hell. Finding the golden paper is elusive, I found a few jewels, but with the VA they need a paper that bludgeons them. I remember clearly doctors saying things that I need on paper, because the VA refuses to believe anyone about anything,, probably because they thrive on making liars out of everyone that applies...

If you think about it everyone who is out of work due to SC issue is a hardship case. Where do they begin except to speed up all claims. How many vets can go 6 months without a paycheck? Waiting on disability is a great way to lose weight. I lost 20 lbs and I got other disability really fast from workers' compensation etc. I did not have serious money problem just worried to death about "what now?". VA did turn me into a OCD case. I always believe that some piece of paper is either going to ruin me or save me so I save it all.
