  1. very encouraging - thanks. do i have to use a VA dentist, or do I have the work done and then wait to be repaid by the VA? How does it work? is this program and the benefits documented somewhere??
  2. what (if any) dental benefits are included when i am enrolled in Voc Rehab?
  3. Thanks for the reply. I tried to use the rating schedule. DMII looks like 20%. Arms are probably 20%. The cardio and diabetic nephropathy references confused me. I have no idea how a rater would rate those??? I am not working. My medical evidence is pretty much what you saw. Came from the VA. I am being treated for DMII, Hypertension, and High cholesterol by the VA. This diagnosis I attached resulted from a 1 hour c/p exam using existing VA lab results and existing VA medical records. I have never had a stroke or TIAs. I only claimed DMII. The C/P exam surprised me and added all the other stuff to the DMII.
  4. I was diagnosed AO DMII, controlled with pills and diet. I have filed a claim. I am trying to figure out what rating to expect. Any knowledgeable guestimates would be appreciated. Thanks for a great forum. My C/P exam summary (verbatim) is as follows: DOES THE VETERAN HAVE DIABETES? Yes TYPE OF DIABETES Type II NO DIAGNOSIS OF: Visual Impairment, Amputation DIAGNOSED MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Cardiovascular Disease, Kidney Disease, Neurologic Disease SUMMARY OF COMPLICATION: DIAGNOSIS: Peripheral Neuropathy IS THIS A COMPLICATION OF DIABETES: Yes RATIONALE FOR THIS CONCLUSION: Onset of the complication in relation to the onset of diabetes DIAGNOSIS: Hypertension IS THIS A COMPLICATION OF DIABETES: Yes RATIONALE FOR THIS CONCLUSION: Veteran's diabetes has been poorly controlled, Severity of the complications (veteran has diabetic neuropathy, macroalbuminuria already) DIAGNOSIS: Peripheral Neuropathy, bilateral upper extremities IS THIS A COMPLICATION OF DIABETES: Yes RATIONALE FOR THIS CONCLUSION: Veteran's diabetes has been poorly controlled, Severity of the complications DIAGNOSIS: Diabetic Nephropathy, with macroalbuminuria IS THIS A COMPLICATION OF DIABETES: Yes RATIONALE FOR THIS CONCLUSION: Veteran's diabetes has been poorly controlled
