Dingo's Achievements

  1. I am 100% P&T since 2011, but no service connection for hearing loss, yet. I had my hearing checked at the VA (this was not for a C&P exam) and I was told I have minor hearing loss in both ears but not bad enough that hearing aids would help. Which is surprising to me because when people talk to me, if I can't see their lips, I can't understand what they are saying. I also have to watch TV with the closed captioning on or I will not be able to follow along. Anyway, just wondering if this has or is happening to anyone else?
  2. I see that there are several bills that have been introduced in Congress to eliminate Concurrent Receipt of retired pay and VA compensation. Does anyone have any insight as to the chances of concurrent receipt being taken away from us?
  3. Does anyone have any guidance on how the physicians statement should be phrased? I know from past dealings with the VA that very often it is not what you say but how you say it. Thanks.

    100% P&t

Post traumatic stress disorder with major depressive disorder, obstructive sleep apnea with asthma, rhinitis, chronic otitis externa, left and right upper extremity neuropathy, paralysis of the ulnar nerves, left and right lower extremity radiculopathy, paralysis of the sciatic nerves, degenerative disc and joint disease cervical spine (C5/C6), degenerative disc disease lumbar spine status post fusion (L5/S1), urinary incontinence associated with degenerative disc disease lumbar spine status post fusion, complications from multiple surgeries at L5/S1 (i.e. erectile dysfunction, loss of use of a creative organ and bowel and bladder dysfunction), rheumatoid arthritis (atrophic), auditory canal disease, tinnitus, gout, left and right lower extremity varicosities, and epididymitis status post hydrocele, my original award was 90%, three years later, now 100% P&T. Just kept resubmitting the same records but I had to highlight and use sticky notes to point out where the stuff was documented cause the VA kept saying it wasn't in my records. Don't let the bastards beat you down. We can win if we keep fighting.
  5. I received my notice today for another C&P exam, Two days ago I got my 100% award letter after waiting 23 months (the main disability is a back injury resulting in nerve damage). I am not sure why I am scheduled for another exam, this will be my fifth one since November 2008. Any one have anything similar happen to them or have any words of wisdom?
  6. I retired 28 Feb 09. I was rated at 90% by the VA. I was told I would NOT receive back pay for March 09 because my effective date of retirement was 1 March (even though I retired on 28 Feb). Does anyone know if this is true or is the VA putting one over on me?
