    You are on the right track. Tbird is talkin much sense here. We understand. Have you checked your local veterans center to see if they help pay some bills, food chits. In Ohio when I was really down and out they helped me out, and I didnt even know about them givng food chits (like food stamps but a lot less embarassing), or pay rent directly. Contact yer local veterans services center. Good Luck. I know your not stupid, and have probably tried everything Im talkin bout, but if ya havent , like I was, it might help!     Hatemhatemhatemhatemhatemhatem! Mystic Im sorry, but DONT GIVE UP. PUH-LEEEEEEEZE DONT GIVE UP! Did you write a stressor letter with your claim? Did you attach any documentation to the stressor letter? Was any of it mst. NO I didnt report the deaths at sick bay, but it sure as hell sickened me!

    Hi All. A friend of mine just suggested this read, and I wanted to share it with you. “The Veteran’s PTSD Handbook: How to File and Collect Claims for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder”, by John D. Roche. " Mr. Roche is an Air Force veteran who has been very active as a veterans’ advocate in relation to disability claims. I don’t know him personally, but according to information printed in the book, he actually worked in a VA Regional Office for several years and ultimately left the VA because he disagreed with the way they were handling veterans’ claims. It’s clear from the contents of the book that he is extremely knowledgeable about the details and the “in’s and out’s” of the VA’s complicated policies and procedures on disability claims. He is also an advocate committed to the goal of informing veterans on how to effectively “navigate” their way through the VA system." is what my friend says about it. If it helps just one, that would be great. Amazon is the cheapest place I know to get it. I hope it helps someone, ive ordered mine already. mystic

    Carlie, Try as we might we dont seem to communicate well, and get our points across. I was talkin to whomever it may apply to and John at one point. I think that yer better suited to help someone else on here, besides me. As I dont understand much of what you say. no offence meant, and I hope this doesnt prevent me from having others try and help. Im mighty down right now, gonna talk to the dr. tomorrow about adjusting the dosage on my anti-depressant. things are lookin pretty hopeless, and Im not uo to any hefty quibbling or ANY quibbling for that matter. The cue to begin with was my claim was for back pain, and my smrs have back pain all thru them, as well as other things. Again, no offence intended, I just dont feel we get very far talkin to each other. It is what it is.Probably ALL ME, as Im the one with my Meds. needin adjusted. Sincerely, Mystic

    John, A while bak you asked ME a question and I never answered it. I apologize. Ive been tryig to get some answers myself. You asked about a possible C.U.E. Yep, Ive got them goin back to the original denial. At the rate I'm going tho, theyll probably remand what Ive recently sent in. By the time they get my request to re=open my appeal from 2000, and process it, Then remand it, and then the CUE (WHEN SHOULD I BE BRINGING UP THE CLEAR ERRORS MADE!!????), Im gettin older by the year. Personally I'm probably the case that 30 year VA Employee is gonna wait to die for, after its been denied the last time. Its not lookin good/ Ive got a hobby too. Too depressed to take interest in it.Yall get yours tho, so Im just another bellyachin woman, askin for somethin extra i a life let me down.Nobody really gives a rats patooty about me or my claim, OR the reasons for my claim. Ya know what its REALLY NOT all about the money. Its bein able to die in peace, with some dignity. Sure as heck wasnt allowed to live that way.. Sandy

    HI Carlie, and thanks. However I was referring to Todays question: I have a letter to send in thats from a doctor been seeing me about 3 years. I didnt send his letter in with the other two doctors', as he initailly listed very generalized things like :"orthopedic condition, spinal conditions." Then fibromyalgia which was plenty specific enough, no mental which is good, as hes a pain manag dr. Heres the thing, when I got the letter they said" if theres any tweeking needs to be done, dont hesitate to ask"..., and I did. I asked them to name conditons w/out codes of course, and sent the request to reopen claim for appeal without the 3rd letter.     I found the case Evans vs....., but could make no sense of it. Im at a disadvatage here, as I dont speak legalese, however I get the impression that I need to learn it, and my brain doesnt work that way. How do folk ever get their scd, if they dont understand case law?! M. shakin my head

    When I get notice that they will open my claim back up, whats next as far as my duty to assist: At that time can I send my OTHER drs. letter in, and my smr's, taht I feel are relevant. Tho they havem they obviously haven READ THEN GOSH DARNIT!, so the set hav is more condensed.I took out the common cold, etc, so that just pertinent stuff is in there. Thoughts, opinions? I tried to access Susans site, but havent had any luck. I really want to go there too, and join. She and I could be kindred spirits for all I read thats similar to my experience, in her Bio.     LP56 , I didnt realize he had "bailed" so to speak. He was the only one in the Office, and I understand they had someone leave not that long ago. He spoke of being VERY VERY busy. He was frustrated at not having enough help.He seemed rather embarrassed that he had to stop and answer the door when a few people dropped in. I didnt mind, really. If Ive got anything, its time. He seems like a very organized person, and with the scenario Ive described, I imagine he'splenty frustrated. Maybe he foresaw not being able to devote the time my case would entail. Id like to think that it had nothing to do with the claim or me. Weve been fine all along. I'm getting mixed messages about the VSO's. If overhead isnt being met it'll affect everyone. The VA knows this. NO DOUBT! So, since Im convinced that I've got God on my side, I'll just consider that things happen for a reason, and hope this is a "GOOD THING." Im at hotmail.com if you need to reach me, talk privately, I dont think my PM is working right. Im a good person, in need of a friend, no matter WHAT the VA has tried to convince me of or succeeded in convincing me of. I can have a good ear. My problem is I try to hard to fix things when its brought up. If I do that just tell me to stop it, and we'll be good to go. Im very lonely and am housebound. So, I could use a friend. Dont know bout you. Sorry bout the wait, with me getting back to your post. Ive been rather grumpy and didnt want to be so, when I talked with you. It sounds like youve gotten some stellar advice here, and are headed in a good direction. Thats mighty fine I bet, and I hope Ill be nipping at your heels progress wise before long.     Thanks #1. Ill have to set up a yahoo account to get over there, but that shouldnt be too hard. Just have to make myself DO IT! I thought PTSD was the friggin nightmares, and the MEMORIES (as opposed to amnesia) of awful stuff. 6 of 1 hald f dozen of the other. Not remebering what it was like to FEEL. Particularly "Happiness", for more than a few minutes, or being numb.Anger so closew to the surface ALWAYS its ready to boli over.Wondering wtf are we here on earth for.
