  1. Carlie's legacy is veterans and their families continuing to be helped from her love and advice, and her encouraging example. You live on, Carlie!
  2. I'd recommend sleep lab over home due to more sophisticated equipment and technician can make changes to see what your best settings are. re: grinding/bruxism- I didn't realize how important this was until repeated trips to dentist for broken teeth. They can do custom mouth guard for around $500 (VA won't pay for those) but I just get the $20 ones at Walgreens that you boil and set yourself; you might have to try more than one brand for what fits your mouth.
  3. With respect, Buck, I differ in that today is to honor living veterans- Memorial Day is for the dead.
  4. Bob stated some positive numbers on Fox this morning. The only real solution is to dismantle the bureaucratic VA and send vets to civilian doctors.
  5. Thanks to all who served and those who support them. Here's my display this year: https://youtu.be/ZyUs2iEG5jg
  6. A 4-star General gets $4k+ for their move max- quite a difference.
  7. 2 VA officials refuse to testify on job-manipulation claims "Rubens and Graves forced lower-ranking regional managers to accept job transfers against their will. Rubens and Graves then stepped into the vacant positions themselves, keeping their pay while reducing their responsibilities, the IG said." I stumbled across this on CSPAN last night and watched a little. What is it going to take to investigate and dismantle the criminal cabal at the upper echelons of the VA?!?
  8. Thanks for the info broncovet- could you please link us to the source? It's also good for vets to check directly with their state since requirements change regularly.
  9. Bravo, Julie, and kudos to Texas for supporting veterans where it counts!
  10. You got it quicker than me! (But my pile was a lot smaller)
  11. Didn't forget you hedgey (always liked the icon). Very happy it's YOUR turn!
  12. Glad for the positive outcome (but sad you had to wait for a judge) and hope you get some financial relief soon!
  13. They need to investigate the VA with the same vigor and budget they used to go after Hillary, instead of the token VAOIG bones that occasionally get released.
  14. A related note: you may have difficulty finding an attorney to take your case against the VA- many are going only for the 'low-hanging fruit" or whatever criteria they choose.
