  1. Coddled union slugs causing veterans death and misery with impunity - and that blood is on Congress' hands who feign outrage then just toss the VA MORE billions to 'fix itself.' If they wanted to know what is truly wrong at the VA, they'd use outside investigators; I think it's a sham. "Investigators said leaving the dead veterans on the list also raises the chance of identity fraud, with someone using a dead beneficiary’s name to get “unauthorized” access to health care" BWA HA HA HA HA HA HAa- yeah, people are clamoring to get VA healthcare - there's hordes like the refugees in a Hungarian train station.
  2. It's good for those who have positive experiences with meds by mail but this service is not at par with civilian prescriptions. It has caused me much grief while traveling and I shudder to continually read of med crises for veterans including our board leader TBird. If I get a civilian prescription sent to Walgreens in Tucson, I can swing by a Walgreens ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY and pick it up in an hour (Ive done it). Try that with the VA. I've ended up in the ER more than once for dangerous blood pressure level due to meds by mail. If you're in a region different than the one you're assigned, they don't want to do anything for you until you're 'enrolled', a process that takes weeks or more because you need an appoint with a PCP. I encourage all of you with med issues to email Alison.
  3. Very happy for you, 63- and good on ya for throwin some T's way!
  4. You don't put a union in charge of sending business to other providers.
  5. Thanks, T! I like Military.com as starting point to compare state benefits http://www.military.com/benefits/veteran-state-benefits/state-veterans-benefits-directory.html?comp=1199433946637&rank=7 but you really have to go to the state site like the one you listed and even contact agencies individually since benefits change by the minute and may not be updated.

  9. I'd tell Patient Advocate you're giving her a week to get action on this, then go to hospital admin, the IG and the media. Time to quit f&c*n around with these ^9djk9vrqgkj;hsfagdj;gc;aj;khj
  10. I'm getting error that their site is down- wonder if we overloaded em ;)
  11. Sorry for the grief y'all have experienced with this- please email Bob & Alison!
  12. Agreed Pete- a real investigation would come from outside of the VA with no notice.
  13. I've seen plenty of 'creative writing' in both my medical records and claims files but, since we don't see it at the time or have to sign off on it, they get away with it.
  14. What civilian company allows even 30% errors without sacking the crew?
  15. I wonder if the unions were involved in this 40-mile thing; why else would they add that?
  16. Thanks for the update, Sgt Wilky! http://www.mintpressnews.com/oklahoma-veteran-with-ptsd-faces-life-in-prison-for-treating-ptsd-with-marijuana/207335/
