  1. Hi, what is the maximum social security retirement benefit? What is the cutoff maximum for medicare contributions? Why? Thanks jim
  2. Not being infantry myself, not certain, I think it is pretty basic. It does have to be on orders. You can google it I imagine. You said he had ACM, I think they had those with a V device also, not certain. Any medal for valor, or a purple heart should meet the qualification for being in combat. I think if he does not have a current diagnosis of PTSD or some other stress/anxiety/depression problem related to service it is a problem. You have some really smart folks on this board. Also the FAQ section may have some answers. Jim
  3. 1. I think 11b10 MOS was infantry, if he has a CIB, he should be most of way the there. 3. My experience with 101st guys from group is that they working hard to find each other. 4. He should be able to connect with your help. 5. If he was infantry and did not get a CIB it may be a harder sell. Jim
  4. 1. Are you 55 or older? 2. Has your condition improved? Jim
  5. In the business I was in the question was what is the need. Do you need to prove you were on the ship? Or do you need to prove the duty the ship was on? Jim
  6. I do not know how it worked in the Navy, but in the Army we got paper orders anytime we changed units. A copy of those orders was placed in permanent file. You might ask NPRC for all your records to include duty assignments. Jim
  7. Question? Assume vet is awarded TDIU, P and T. 1. Is there a waiting period for spouse to be eligible for ChampVA? 2. If so, how long? Thanks Jim
  8. Hi all, Questions ChampVA 1. How long after vet is awarded TDIU for spouse to eligible? 2. Does vet have to be Permanent and Total for spouse to be eligible? Thanks Jim
  9. Hi All, I am new here so please excuse dumb questions. I have been reading the posting and see that there are some very knowledgeable people, willing to share. 1. I am SC for PTSD since 1999. I put in for SC for tinnitus, Nov 2004. I put in for SC for back problems July, 2005. 2. I have received letters on the tinnitus, seems to be proceeding. 3. I have received nothing on the back claim, I have called the 800 tracking phone number and they do not see the back claim. 4. My American Legion VSO does not seem to think it is a problem. My question is, Is there a way my POA(American Legion) tracks these? How do I find out? Do they lose these claims? Thanks Jim
