  1. ranks at the top for the most adversarial places i've ever been, especially when you seek the truth
  2. can't convince me either. considering what doctor's wrote after C&P's they couldn't have read the records presented or did and failed to write the evidence. some C&P's didn't have my c-file. and they all played the game of mental gymnastics. guess they have too, but, that sh!t gets so old! i second, "My fear is it would be misued".
  3. i hope Fox contacts you. i haven't heard back from Miller or Shinseki regarding the claim issue and veterans paying for their own medical treatment in order to actually get a correct diagnosis versus the VA not diagnosing. i'll keep on it. the VA to much extent is a National Disgrace. the only people there that are accountable are the veterans seeking help there. thats called the bizarro world!! lets keep the irons hot for all our veterans, their families and caregivers
  4. gee, my eye-to-brain pathways getting worse, i didn't even see this prior to asking you. my apologies. i just emailed Commander Wells site, i'll email to that address you posted too.
  5. i'm with you on this, who do i write at Foxnews? you got email for them and i'll write too and list my protest and the years it took in my case and still cleaning up loose ends
  6. i posted the below at the above link too. i feel it fits this thread also. sorry for the double post but: i read today that our gov wants to insert an alternative inflation measure and apply that to disability payments to nearly 4 million veterans as well as pension payments for an additional 500,000 low-income veterans and surviving families. i get the issue of the national debt being way out of control and largely due to washington's fiscal irresponsibility. if they want to trim our benefits then Congress needs to take a cut in pay and their health benefits. its only fair. aren't they still sending money overseas to non-friendlies? i really hope ALL veterans groups rally on this and wake congress TFU. GO VETERANS!
  7. when you and @jbasser get your c-file delivered, may be post here the date or the time frame it took. i'm sure others on hadit would like to see how soon/long this takes. generally speaking, as i know there are other variables involved to getting a c-file copied to veteran. thanks and good luck
  8. good luck. i think it pays to fish through the waters of a c-file. time consuming and for me it affects my nervous system in a neg way, nevertheless a prudent thing to do as you and others here know

  10. that's the pits. maybe some others will join in and know of a second course of action you can take in order to verify it exists and to get it delivered. note as others have mentioned, the c-file they copy for us and what is actually on file may not be identical, that is they may leave stuff out.
  11. agree, and as you write here, i have written basically the same in pas posts, and i suspect others have too. and that is, why don't we march/roll onto ROs and/or DC? its our life and quality of that life. no one is going to actually help clear this mess up unless the sheet is dropped on their frontdoor so to speak. so why don't we organize marches for all veterans, old, young, injured, sick, etc as a whole unit. start a webpage, collect "issue statements", form a plan, and then march. we know from reading hadit.com and vawatchdog.com that phone calls, letters, VSO,s, congresspeople, etc., doesn't help much for veterans as a whole. no one believes our experiences until like these major news stories come out. and we're grateful for the stories and exposure but if the irons aren't kept hot its just going to fade out as usual, which the VA and congress i suspect is hoping.
  12. @Capt.Contaminate & @georgiapappa, i read what he said on the interview. like you, i couldn't believe what he said. just regurgitated boilerplate politics as usual. i didn't see the interviewer drill him either. certainly not like the recent Time Inc article calling for his resignation and the reasons why. it made my nerves cringe as one can see the writing on the wall from that interview, IMHO i wrote Chairman Miller a few months back myself and cc'd it to General Shinseki. i'll send the watchdog link to local mil beat reporter and Senator here too. keep us informed, we all appreciate it edit: link added regarding recent Time article author and his take on Shinseki interview: http://swampland.time.com/2013/03/25/shinseki-stonewall/
  13. my c-file copy arrived today. looks like all single-sided copies which will make coping it easier for me. request arrived at VARO: 1.16.2013 c-file arrived: 3.25.2013
  14. well, we're at 8 weeks VARO received my request. two years ago, i requested a list of past claims + decision + evidence listed as used. typical low level stuff. to me shouldn't have been difficult. when i asked about the status a few months later they sent me copies of the actual request form, not what that form requested, the listing of past claims decisions. gee, can't imagine if/when i'll get the c-file (entire). hopefully soon, as i have to copy it and get it to a legal office. thks for your reply
  15. looks like Berta is/has replied my thoughts to this too. RO sends that letter out they got the request and find its ok to send copy of c-file minus whatever they (gov) considers. i found that unnerving
  16. Louisville? funny. i used to work there years ago. i didn't expect 2-4 weeks in this state and its past that already. thanks!
  17. good. i hope everyone on hadit.com notices that and many other posts regarding this. i know its old news going back to vietnam veterans(i don't know about prior to that) but i post it to keep showing the degradation no matter how Washington and VA keeps spinning a different tale. appreciate your numbers. a frightening reality
  18. Under Obama, VA’s Problems Get Worse by Aaron Glantz Mar 11, 2013 4:45 AM EDT http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/03/11/va-s-ability-to-quickly-provide-benefits-plummets-under-obama.html
  19. i would tend to agree. the Times story is more evidence supporting us veterans and what is said here at hadit.com. and what indyman referred to also. i have no hope anything will change, but at least the stories are getting out there.
  20. is there a general time frame one can expect to get the c-file? VARO received my request jan 2013. i need to then copy it and send the copy to a legal office.
  21. point taken and understood. congrats on your award
  22. WASHINGTON, MARCH 15, 2013 — /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The leader of The American Legion has come out swinging in defense of Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki. Shinseki, a retired four-star Army general and decorated Vietnam War combat veteran, is the primary target of a scathing, yet-to-be-published TIME Magazine piece penned by prominent columnist Joe Klein. The article, titled "Ten Years After: a National Disgrace" lambastes Shinseki for maintaining a low public profile while veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan suffer mass unemployment and stigma related to widespread and misleading... i don't think the American Legion has visited Hadit.com for quite some time!, ya think? If General Shinseki has actually done a good job, then my only conclusion is the VA is close to a "mob organization" and it must have under-mined General Shinseki's good jobs. All the good guys keep getting beat down by our gov. history keeps telling this story over and over...
  23. Good luck! if you find that news person as him/her if more names/stories are needed. many of us here purposely not diagnosed correctly and labled head cases by VA to be swept under the carpet...if that is how one expresses it, adjective finding isn't what it used to be. Godspeed
