  1. 800 # told me that a decision was made on my claim this morning. any ideas time it will take to find out? also i saw somewhere that my vso can find out the decision if he calls is this true? im waiting and expecting the worst hoping for the best
  2. Thank you guys for the response and help. I already have my med. file from the VA. one thing I am feeling shaky on is that. I filed for ssdi and got approved for TBI, and PTSD, when I talked to my VSO (out of gainsville he is a state claims examiner) He told me not to submit the ssdi approval to the VA so that if I got disapproved we could use it as new evidence? What are your guys thoughts on this? At my C&P exams i told the docs i was on ssdi however the one doing my ptsd exam wrote I was working full time which I havent done since feb. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  3. Yes ive had C&P exams for the ptsd and the tbi. I have copies of all of them and my medical file. How do i get a copy of my "claim" file?
  4. Initial claim in 07' was for ptsd got rated at 30% SC in DEC. of 08. I Filed for IU in Feb. first just based on ptsd asking for 70% plus 30% for iu. however In april I added the TBI and residuals after finally getting a TBI screening and a mri. my doctor told me to file for it. I am aware of the ladder to climb hoping the tbi and residuals get approved with no problems and help my % along. Stress of waiting on the descion now i getting to me a little.
  5. Hey have a claim in for IU after biegn already rated at 30% for PTSD(called adjustment disorder), claim also includes TBI and is residuals, When i call the 800 # they tell me in august it was brokered out to another office for a descion to be made. That happened in august and They are still telling me the same thing does anyone have any experience with a claim bieng brokered out from one office to another and if so how long will it be before a descion. thanks
  6. ssa is for TBI, PTSD, and MDD all service connected already except the tbi.
  7. Had two C&P exams today the first for TBI. The exam started with the A_hole neurologist trying to tell me I probably dont have a TBI because it is not in my SMR. (even though i am diangnosed from the VA, built a nexus to the event, and am seeing a behavioral neurologist regulary at the VA who reccommended i apply for benefits.) After him telling me that we went through about a 35-45 minute evaluation and before i left he vaguely referenced that i may have a phych disorder and not tbi. Now i am already service connect at %30 for adjustment disorder (I claim PTSD) so i know i have a physch disorder what does this have to do with my TBI. After that i had a C&P for a re-evaluation of my ptsd based on a notice of disagreement and a request for IU I made in february. Dissapointingly enough it was with the same doctor as before who did not do a thourough or honest eval of my condition and this time only took 25 minutes for the exam. (which my pregnant wife had to drive me to 2 hours at 5 am because i cant drive anymore due to panic attacks. Any thoughts about why these evals were so short would be appreciated and if it is common to be re-evaluated by the same C&P examiner. I also got approved for ssdi on my first attempt based only on VA evidence so it is very stressful to deal with the vagueness and unhelpfulness of the VA. thanks guys
  8. Well applied in march for ssdi and ssi. For MDD, PTSD, Adjustment Disorder, and TBI. Application was adjucated and claim went to quality control. After several phone calls today to 800 # then local office I found out I was approved and told i need to nominate a payee?? havent gotten decision letter yet but am waiting for it in the mail. Anyone know if they cut ssi payments off if recieving va comp as well. Thanks to everyone here for the great info. Had to send and submit all VA records on my own, I sent in a full one year of medical records from the VA, and one civilian doctors diagnosis of chronic and severe PTSD. Filled out questionnaire they sent and that was it, never even was called to an SSDI doctor. When i get the letter should i submit it as evidece in my VA TDIU claim? thanks again everyone this site has been the best resource for all of my claims.
  9. Thanks for info everyone. still waiting, Hate bieng told there is a decision over the phone but they cant tell you what it is. Will post when i get the letter. Hope it comes soon havent worked since february, and my wife just got pregnant.
  10. I called ssa 800 # on my ssdi claim for ptsd, mdd, and tbi they tell me decision was made on my claim and that it has gone to a quality control review. They wont tell me what the decision is and i am worried because they did not send me to one of their doctors. I did send them my whole Va record and a civilian doc's opine. any thoughts on when i should expect a NOD from ssa and what it might be? thanks.
