Hello I have tried posting before not sure if I did correctly, but I had the same thing happened and because I had direct deposit once it was authorized the money was in bank in a 2 days my retro was from 3/98 and I had a lost file and most of the same issues I see here. I am P& T and IU due to MST and allergies I have been diagnosed with PTSD but because I can only have one mental disorder my VSO said to resolve my claim and the granted me 100% and what I stated above it was a moot issue so I received over 100K retro and I did feel vindicated and relieved that someone finally go it right, I have a lot of medical issues secondary to others I don't know if this means my award is for life because I am or will be 38 on the 21st of this month, but because doctors said they don't see me getting better with all the treatment etc they made me IU I am not complaining just don't know have many feelings about this but rep form AMC was great, honest and accurate

I am new to this forum as far as posting but have been reading for months. My initial claim was filed in 97 and I received a 30% in 2006 after several denials and appeals. I was granted SSD in 2003 I asked for an increase for my Mood disorder and was recently increased to 70% 08 and I also have a 30% for allergic rhinitis with polyps. They granted me IU and P&T and made it retro to 3/08 my questions is I never submitted a IU form, but indicated in my appeal when I submitted evidence that I was not able to work and should be compensated as total and permanent and IU why was my effective date not listed when this was implied or was it because I was only 30% at the time? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It has been a long fight and truly I a greatful that they finally acknowledge what happened to me (MST) in the Gulf war and sexual Harrasement prior so I suffer from anxiety. depression etc. I really don't think I have the fight in me to continue just wanted to understand why I was not given an earlier effective date.
