  1. I will find out what GAF score means and if I have one will post it, thoughts have been in my head for a while I had eliminated the violent ones and would not do it in the home because of not wanting my children to see it the best one that has been most tempting was the pad lock heavy chain and a cooler to act as the float ythen just float with it into the middle of the ohio and flip the cooler and sink, they have started me on increased medications now and I need to go to SATC weekly .the chain has been disposed of today or turned in for disposal at the request of my VA pyshatrist.that and i have toll free numbers to call and talk and I am supposed to go to the nearest er if bad thoughts begin to creep back in my mind. Thank you guys.
  2. hello fellow brothers and sisters. I have a question that my local DAV did not know for sure I am service connected for PTSD but it is also obvious that i have major depression as well, with suicidial ideation, which i learned is a plan to carry out the action of hurting self sometimes I feelthat is the only way to be free and happy but I am seeking help. I ask for prayer in these times of need, i should have beeen finding faith as my paramount mission but have failed that department. any how I was told by a fellow veteran that I should file for increase or or file for MDD especially after being admitted to VA for the condition. what should I do the stress alone makes me think not filing for it but then again with days being missed from work between being depressed having headaches I just dont know what i should file for in the first place please any thoughts at all would be helpful to me, thanks again brothers.

  5. divorce and ptsd...? she states not married to the man i fell in love with.. any input?

  6. did any one think this law might help vets especially from IRAQ and AFGAN, I know if I was a unseasoned war veteran just a a silly cop or smart cop trooper or not a run on a tag that shows a code of PTSD only visible from the PDCAD system on tracking, knowing that ok he is driving fast ...ok i see vet plates.... ok he is driving in the middle lane o..ok the check came back he is a war vet, with service induced PTSD. will do a routine stop and check for wellness. ok the trooper has reason for suspicion, have been drinking? no... can you explain your driving. NO or yes if you want to shit shat, depending on your attitude you will walk away scott free without tiket without offense its a WELNESS check, does it violate your rights well yeah, in a way. so what.
  7. even though I walk through the valley of ,,,,, blah blahh blah, you his father should fear no evil as you were guided from.. and to your son .. you a former war veteran as he shall and has returned times 2 plus a war veteran. in his dads eyes the greatest pride a father can have.. am I wrong?? so in the darkest hours ... blaa blaaa blaah (you as dad ) YOU TOO SHALL FEAR NO EVIL ,YET BE REMINDED OF THE PROUDEST MOMENT SHared and welcome the generous nature of citizens, that now know freedom is not free but wish sincere, and happy, hopeful returns of all future soldiers, NOT PROTEST, not hatred, not simple fire judgements as you did.THE WELCOME BACK HOME IS HONORED!. and made in part through vietnam vets like you. and if he does come back in a box as you fear then my old friend .. your thoughts are not healthy for you or your son and i pray that he has no need to read his fathers fears ,,,, because deep down you know he will return home. one way or the other .... our brothers come back home now, POW and MIA will be a thing of the PAST BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
  8. lets say I am 50 percent for ptsd by doing voc rehab what evr then get a job and the carreer gets wonderful .. do I lose all i have fought for with VA by they saying your "rehabilitated you no longer have PTSD, or CHRONIC anal fissure< or marital spouse issues< or detacheched retina ... scaring on my retina from staring down rifle scopes.. or tinitus, or ,,,,, you get the picture.
  9. by participating in voc rehab does it render you fit to work and by doing so lose your c and p monatary benifits
  10. since returning or should i say in iraq never had much drive sexual wise being married and true and the stress was crazy, its been 3 years since i have been back and the first few times relations with my wife were ok because at the time fort knox ireland hospital gave me celias for my leave. well since then my depression, anxiety and medications for blood pressure keep increasing and seems like every depression medication makes me cloudy and fine at first then they have to increase or try new stuff. but i will say this remeron for my ptsd is awsome makes me less guarded more relaxed but ever since that medication mr willy wonker can not stand at attention for long much less perform a orgasm for my wife so I gave up. wife says fine she understands but BUT i know she has needs to so I dont know what to do relive Iraq night after every other night and wake up pissed off or get or file for ED I am 38 years old this should not be happening to me, I should say for us my wife and I, before all of this we had a very active and pleasant intimacy
  11. HCT for hyper tension IE water pill often aggrevates gout attacks
  12. I filed NOD couple months back for TMJ still no word except the claim is "open for review" and thats fine what gets me is I filled out the 686C cant remember the formnumber if my life depended on it but any way 2 children both forms filled in full plus there SSN every thing any way no pay, now keep IN mind I was fullish and didnt know about being compensated for dependendants any way long story short was denied bruxism etc, filed NOD with in this was the forms 686c.... what is there to prove about additional dependants, makes you wonder abraham lincolns speech and founding statement of VA including TO CARE FOR HIS WIDOW AND CHILDREN or does a vete actually have to be DEAD in order for that promise to be fulfilled just ranting I suppose
  13. I looked a FAQ but did not see any sorry if asking same question but how can you check the staus of your NOD is there a number to call etc
  14. I have headaches.. all the time, whats really weird is you know how adults say kids are giving me a headache etc.. blah blah when i have a headache i actually find dealing with the kids makes my headaches go away when there fighting screaming etc.. but when its done the headaches start back up again realy weird might be a mental problem
  15. excellent news congrats on your case.
  16. ok the objective simply request a copy of all medical records including inpatient out patient and mental health treatments from a specific date to the present. location.... local VAMC at medical records office. once there i requested the action. she instantly sighed.... I said in a atitude I am sorry Iam i bothering you she just stared no but there going to have to mail them to you. i said fine i filled out the form va-10-5345a and the Bia--@!#@#$tch snapped it from my hand and asked for ID......... this time I bit my tongue and di just what she asked but I gave her military ID, she said no your VA card.. I snapped with a fast response you said ID be specific then. gave her the card va card she walks off shaking her head comes back states will be mailed out in few days.... fine. can i have a copy of my VA-10-5345a she does marks it copy this is where the plot thickens. I did not like the whole auro of my request so I resorted to my old fasion drill sgt days and requested a copy cert recipt she looks at me says its marked copy I stated yes I can make copies all day long to sign it please its proof i was here and i wont ask you for id since i see your id on you please make it legible MRS.XXXXXXXXX she starts to get a little nervous at this point then states I never have had to do this i stated I never had to either but your atitude and presentation makes me question the integrity of this offices follow through on veterans request for there life line of records one that they placed you in charge of. and I walked out the door.
  17. just in case you have all wondered being military medical records are in one folder dental records another the (THIN RECORD) seems dental corps dont care that much or not that involved so for our new troops heading out into iraq and afgan (((be aware)))) make a stink when it comes to your dental records..... so they take a picture big FNdeal...... every thing that you have going in document MAKE COPIES and get the medical DR name in PRINT ... speaking from experience they will deny you everything dental ////my proof in fact is even when you de mobilize they ask the soldior you wanna stay on for a complete dental exam//// most troops say !!!NO WAY!!!! i wanna just get home then you have 180 days to do so at VA,,,, and guess what,,,, va dental sucks!! VA dental services only apply if your 100 percent service connected for dental care .. wow..
  18. start now ......just facts .....and dont try to do it all at once.... it was painful, emotional and depressing for me to do it, but you must and will do it. good luck. Iwould read your letter brother, but thats a personal choice you make.
  19. I did .....have filled out those forms 21-686c one each for my children have 2 no compensation for those since I filed a NOD and its in review have gotton the SC for PTSD at 30 percent and have recieved comp for it I miss days from work some days are bad some are ok doesnt matter but It has been a long road originally filed all of these when I got back from iraq in 2007 some of my issues are at 0 percent but the more I did research into my own health the more I was finding out IE headaches in particular, short temper, not sleeping for days then crashing, and borderline self medicating for a while well enough is enough and have not shyed this time I presented the evidence signs and symtoms to the C and P w it took 20 minutes for the physcolagist or what ever to come to a finding that anxiety is just one disorder and my situation has elevated it to the next being PTSD I go to thearopy once a month and the SATC programs and it helps but finding out I am not alone in this my brothers in arms have been having the same issues, fortunate for me I am not as bad off as some of them who have gotton divorced etc etc. I find my self blessed but every day I feel tired and in pain and just guilty some times that I made it back in one piece and some friends didnt. It seems like a struggle with the VA like your the BADGUY here and its not like I am asking for a handout I want whats rightfully deserved and not for me but children and family. i think Iam just rambling at this point but thats where it stands now 30 percent recieved award but not getting dependents allowance as to what I understand should be given. and yet they see the dental issues started in service and only got worse from there, TH VA scheduled me a dental appointment know what the appointmrnt was for?? a cleaning and nightguard fitting . case closed I want a CP for dental is what I want went to DOD required dental the MIL DOCS say whooooo your teeth are bad exposed nerves ect class three I said funny VA last week said ALL SET your GOOD to go mil docs say nope you have TMJ as well . my response MAJOR sir can I have that documented and HE DID
  20. yes a ..NEXUS.. filled out along with internet articles how PTSD and bruxism have a connection, filed claim 2009JUNE PTSD and bruxism claim returned 2009OCT PTSD granted 30 percent bruxism DENIED filed NOD 2009OCT status per VARO open and in "review" also including status for dependents which I..at the time did not know about still never seen any compensation for 3 dependents as the claim is in review..
  21. Ok I have all my dental records and just recently per DOD mandatory periodical health assesment I am a class 3 dental which means i will have issues in the next 12 months if untreated. well depolyed in 3006 reurned 2007 back then i was fime and now I have worn my teeth down bad to the point of needing crowns filling etc, yeah they gave me a night guard a year ago. so any way I filed for bruxism sent them in all mdental records there return with DENIED breaking or chippings ones tooth is not dental trauma and compensation is only to fix a issue not a monetary compensation I filed a NOD the next day. now I am told I have TMJ clicking and soreness, plus headaches are coming back not to mention I am pushing 40 years old and my teeth are ground to the stump and I did all this over 3 years can you file TMJ secondary to PTSD since thats what the VA is saying I should have done in the first place SO confusing!
  22. proof yes as a letter recieved by va stating those forms have been recieved
  23. I mean to say 2 children TWO not 22 sorry
