  1. Yes, I beleive they scheduled me an appointment for Aid and Attendance. Im just a little concerned because tdiu is only temporary... I suffer from schizophrenia paranoid type and ptsd.
  2. Im a little concerned, Im currently a 100% disabled vet. But mwhen my fudiciary came down he said i was only 60% disabled but he said it didnt matter because iam unemployable. I read they have to notify you by law that your rating changed and you have the right to contest it, Right? Any thoughts?
  3. I'm just trying to give vets some info to ease the tension of their C@P exam... John999 is absolutly right, these doctors will screw you in a second. Con the system, huh... No good sir, i'm not... Only the strong survive
  4. Oh more food for thought... The first thing their going to send you is packet or paperwork stating the location of your C@P exam, right? Yes your going to have to read it... My advice is give the paperwork to the person driving you to your exam. Dont follow any instructions in the paperwork and dont bring part of the paperwork to the C@P examiner... Somebody thats mentally ill doesnt care about paper work... No instead a family member is forcing him to do every thing... My "DAD" made me come to the C@P exam... Somebody thats mentally ill doesnt care about their C@P exam after all everything is hopeless... But I must not fool you. these doctors are not stupid by any means...
  5. I'm to mentally ill to wash my clothes, I wear the same outfit every day... My father has to force me to change and wash my clothes... He says I smell, I dont think i do... I'm just fine, lol!!!
  6. Hello everyone, Just to let you know im a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic... Ready, set, go First off Its all a test... there are many great questions in this forum and plan on answering some. Yes your psych C@P exam is just that one big test. First off let me ask you do you plan on driving to your C@P exam? You might want to think about this.Sure how can driving a car to your C@P exam hurt, you ask? Well you just demonstrated to the C@P examiner you can follow detailed instructions on how to get to his building... Plus you can drive a car and you need a liscence for that... That means you passed the DMV test. Ouch black marks on you already... I would have a family member drive you thier and he can wait out in the lobby... Somebody thats truly disabled would not be wearing their sunday best,,, As a matter of fact most mentally ill persons dont change their clothes, I dont... Yes the C@P examiner is going to notice what you are wearing from shoes to hat... Now you usually have two c@p exams, one medicAll and one psych at least i did...Wear the same clothes to both the exams... My schizophrenia has me on edge at all times... Sometimes i think to deeply into things... Anyway the first thing the C@P examiner is going to notice is any bizzare rituals such as closing the door three times before you sit down... Locking a door several times, ect... Its all a test designed by the goverment... Well i can go on and on... Food for thought. you got to think
  7. Whats the claim for? 66 years old and just putting in your claim? Were you discharged chronically ill? Need more details please :)
  8. For a rating? Let me ask you a question? At the end of the C@P exam for PTSD did he give you a number to pick... If you didnt pick a number, forgot about getting rated you didnt get anything....
  9. "My sister insit" I had a C&P exam recently and called the Va to check status of my claim. After a couple of general identification questions, he preceeded to tell me that they were waiting for my health record to come from "National personell records center" before the claim process can continue. This was very intresting to hear due to the fact the military sends all health records "recently" to the department of vetreans affairs. A feeble attempt to exploit a mentally ill person, I allowed him to continue he's lies. He then noticed that i was not being represented, I corrected him by saying iam being represented by the D.A.V. he heckled beneath his breath and proceded to tell me the Va disability process was like getting a flat tire. When you get a flat tire you need to call a tow truck. Then the tow truck takes youre car to the shop...... It was frustrating enough that this gentlemen did not understand my millitary jargon, but now iam having doubts in the D.A.V. ability to represent me. Everything this gentlemen told me was an outright lie with the intent to exploit. I thanked him for his information and hung up the phone. To reach a person like this, in a time of need will not be tolerated much longer. "A great war leaves the country with three armies - an army of cripples, an army of mourners, and an army of thieves"
