  1. Yes, it is possible. I was awarded 100% P&T for PTSD recently. I'm 46.
  2. Sorry to hear that Gvubcd1. Are you going to appeal? I had my C&P for IU on 11/25/2014. It lasted about an hour and a half. Darn Examiner still hasn't added any notes on the C&P yet.
  3. I'm reading this document for the State of Mississippi benefits for veterans and I'm a little confused on what something means. See Below. It says "total" so does being 100% service connected suffice or could they possibly be talking about P&T? What does total mean? Hunting and Fishing Licenses Veterans who have a total service-connected disability from the Veterans Administration are not required to purchase hunting or fishing license, but must have on their person proof of age, residency and disability status while engaged in hunting or fishing. Miss. Code Ann., §49-7-5
  4. Thanks for the information. I just file for SSDI myself.
  5. Wow! I don't want mine to last that long! Good Lord! I have one coming up this Tuesday. Gvubcd1 keeps us posted on what the outcome is.
  6. Today on ebenefits my claim went from prep for decision to Closed- Decision Notification Sent. It says notification was mailed out today. So, I went into download VA letters on ebenefits and found out that I lost money. My benefit amount last month was $1,949 but this month it is $1,847 but my percentage remains at 80%. I do have a dependents claim that I filed in August of last year but the 1800 number says a decision has not been made on the dependency claim yet. How can my benefit amount drop but my percentage remains the same?
  7. Mine says the same thing as of today Squad227. Yesterday it said preparation for decision. Have you received your decision in the mail yet?
  8. Harleyman, Thanks for info. No, I haven't moved recently. Same address for the last 6 years and I am receiving correspondence from the VA about how they are still working on my claims. Last week I got a letter about if I had any addition information to submit and if I didn't to sign the document and mail it back. I hand delivered it since the VA Regional office is less than 10 minutes away. I do have pending claims that I filed this April, so I'm kind of thinking now that the deposit may be a claim has gotten approved and a deposit has been made, because my regular monthly deposits from the VA are usually not pending this early (Yesterday 7/26/2013). If that is the case, that is AWFUL quick! But again, I'm not real sure. I saw the amount of the deposit was half the size of my normal amount and associated it with being reduced. Could it possibly be a claim approved? I called the 1800 number and supposed to get a call back between 10:45 - 11 Monday morning
  9. Good evening, I have a question. My benefits were cut by about $1,100 dollars for the month of August. I have not received any kind of correspondence from the VA saying I was getting reduced or anything. So, I'm trying to figure out what the reduced payment is all about. I do have a few claims pending but haven't received any information but the famous "We are still working on your claims" letters periodically. Has anyone ever gotten a reduction without receiving any type of correspondence from the VA?
  10. I'm in the Voc-Rehab and have 3 more classes before I complete my bachelors degree. My question is , will the VA pay for me to continue my education to get a masters degree? If so, is there a certain form I will need to submit requesting an extenstion?
  11. Sometimes the clerks in ROI aren't any help at all. So... in an effort to make things easier...Would there be a list of all my diagnosis on one page in our VAMC medical records; and if so, what is it called? Thanks
  12. I know this is an old post but how did you come out on your claim with the elevated liver enzymes?
