  1. Had a talk with a fellow veteran today and he told me he read somewhere that starting in September the VA will evaluate all cases of sleep apnea and those that aren't combat related will be downgraded. Wondering if anyone has heard the same thing. Sorry if someone has asked this already but I couldn't find it.
  2. I called back and quoted what the VA reg said. The guy told me he went to some training and they said he can ask the Vet to bring in clothes. My question to him was is the reg going to reflect the change and if I was not told to keep the clothes how can I be responsible for a change that is not even in the regulation? He told me to appeal to his boss. Should I just avoid that office all together now and go over his head?
  3. So I applied for the clothing allowance back in August and it is still not here. I called the VA this week and they informed that the brace does should not damage my clothes. They want me to bring the clothes in to prove they are damaged. I no longer have the clothes because they were no use to me. Should I let it go or appeal?
  4. I received my rating a few months ago for 80%. I was medically retired from the AF for consistant back problems. Anyway, shortly after I received my rating I was bed ridden for a week and applied for a temporary 100%. In the mean time I was given some shots and no longer want to be rated at 100%. I am scheduled for a exam next week to evaluate me. Basically another C and P exam. Can I cancel my claim without it effecting the 80%. One of the lady's at the VA said if I cancel my appointments they can take away my original rating. Is that true? What should I do since I no longer want to be rated at temp 100%.
