  1. So I finally received my Brown packet from VA Washington DC with an order dated April 11, 2016. Looks like I am due some back pay. I called VA and now they tell me this paperwork has to go back to the Regional Office which mine is Houston and they have no idea of what my retro pay amount or time frame will be. Am I looking at another few years to get paid? Any advice?
  2. I beg to differ. PTSD is NOT fast tracked. I was rated at 30% for PTSD and that was years ago so how is that fast? Mooshi
  3. I think it is time I have to explain myself. I originally came to this site to get help. At one time I thought the VA might be helping me but we all know that is BS. As far as me having it out for the VA, that is not true at all. Basser seems to think he knows me and he doesn't have a clue. I appreciate the people who have helped me out and I thank all of you. I don't have a chip on my shoulder. I just don't like how the "system" is a double standard. As far as taking my toys to another sandbox, that is a GREAT way to help others. I am not jealous of your 100% disability and I am sure you earned it. Don't be so defensive, I am not going to mess with your money. I will be on every so often. All I wanted was help and not get blasted by a site admin. So much for asking for help. Later. Mooshi
  4. Wow you are an admin and you talk to other vets like that? YOU have 100% so you are fine and dandy. Telling me I can't do a thing about it is total bullshit. You sound just like the people at VA and DAV. No, I don't have a chip on my shoulder and keep to myself but I don't appreciate you provoking me when you sit on your 100% disability and tell me I can't do shit about it. I don't appreciate your humor whatsoever. Mooshi
  5. Sure it does. The VA is pissing our money away. Not all of us have 100% disability you know. Mooshi
  6. I am VERY upset right now. I have been waiting YEARS! http://www.military....ml?ESRC=army.nl Mooshi
  7. I am a bit scared as I write this. I am currently at 30% for PTSD thru the VA and 100% for SSDI via the Social Security Administration. To make a long story short, I fought for over two years and had an attorney to finally win my SSDI. The VA is still giving me the run around but they screwed me big time. The Social Security Administration requested three times from the VA for my C file and the VA blew them off. I have physical copies of my C file which is almost 400 pages and also have it as a PDF file. I got a letter from the Department of Assistive and Rehabiliative Services Division for Disability Determination Services who are part of the SSA. I called my case worker for the Department of Assistive and Rehabiliative Services Division and asked if it was ok to mail my C files to them and they said sure. I still have to go to this exam now. So much for trying to be helpful. Since VA blew them off and now I have to go to a mandatory exam for PTSD, I am scared I can lose my benefits. I paid my lawyer 20% of my back pay to win the SSDI and if I get screwed now because the VA blew them off I am going to be pretty upset. My depression and anxiety along with my PTSD have gotten worse and I even have a court order that says I cannot work since my PTSD is so bad. What do I do? I have bounced from home to home and can’t get along with anyone. I am scared. I just want to be left alone. I don’t think a 400 page C file should be blown off. Should I take all this stuff and my meds to the PTSD exam for my SSDI? I am pretty upset with the VA. I have several things wrong with me. I have PTSD, Sleep Apnea, Obstructive Airway Disease, and Gastrointestinal Reflux Disease and the VA is only giving me 30% just for the PTSD. The VA gave me a CPAP machine but claim my Sleep Apnea is not service related. I REALLY need help! Anyone?
  8. This still didn't answer my question. I already know the stuff that you copy and pasted. Please read my question. Mooshi
  9. I have had several C and P Exams via the VA now. I am currently at 30% for just PTSD and trying to get that raised. I have a CPAP machine for Sleep Apnea but the VA says it is NOT service connected even though THEY issued it to me! Well, I just had another C and P Exam last week and thought it would be for both the PTSD and Sleep Apnea. I am trying to get service connection for the Sleep Apnea. It seems the VA only set me up for just a C and P Exam for the Sleep Apnea and not the PTSD. Does this mean I need to have another C and P Exam for an increase for the PTSD? I am 100% disabled via SSDI for Social Security. I am just wondering what is going on and what is next? I think I have had a total of 4 or 5 C and P Exams now in the past 2 years. I feel like I am getting messed with and getting frustrated. Comments? Mooshi
  10. I have a question about PTSD and the rating percentage. I am currently 30% service connected for PTSD and was told by an Attorney that if you have PTSD that is service connected that you are supposed to be at least 50% minimum. Can anyone verify this? Mooshi
  11. OK so I am 30% disabled via VA right now but have other questions. The VA gave me a CPAP machine for my Sleep Apnea but put on my medical records that it was NOT service connected. Did they do this to try to shut me up? How do I get this put on as service connected? Also on my last tour before I got out I was in Bosnia and we lived six months right next to a blown up Asbestos plant. I reported this to VA several times and they still have not put this in my medical records. Whenever I am given breathing test I test around 80-82%. I was told I should be at 100%. I have reported this also and nothing. I do have an attorney that I have hired but have not told them about my issues. Should I tell them? They recently got my C File from the VA Houston regional office to overlook my case.
  12. I went to VA today and was told since I am only 30% SC PTSD I can't even apply for TDIU since I am not at least 60%??? The lady "helping" me didn't even want to take and make a copy of my fully favorable letter or my award letter from Social Security Administration. I finally told her I wanted to submit the paperwork as evidence to try to get an increase in my rating. What the heck is going on there in VA? I am getting more and more frustrated every time I go there. I feel like every time I go to VA the people with the cushy jobs could give a crap about the rest of us. No wonder a lot of people just give up. I love how we got used for our service and then just tossed to the side when they are done with us. I feel like an NFL player that never made the monster salary but got used for all the work! Mooshi
  13. I went to the VA and DAV when I got my Fully Favorable decision. It was before I got my award letter. The DAV rep would not even look at my letter and never offered me ANY form. I have no idea what TDIU is but will look into it and the form you mentioned. Thanks for all the help! More to follow. Mooshi
  14. I already tried for the SSI and and my attorney immediately told me to drop the claim for it. The reason being was that I wasn't working and it would affect my SSD. The only thing the SSD has me for is the PTSD. Even though the VA gave me a CPAP machine for my Sleep Apnea, they said it was not service connected. Sounds dumb, but that is what happened. So my SSD is based on PTSD and NOT Sleep Apnea of any sorts. Just clarifying the information here. So, if my SSD is based solely on PTSD and so is my 30% service connected PTSD, what do I do next? Mooshi
  15. My case is the same as Berta's husband. I am merely trying to get information. I now have my award letter for SSD. I am still 30% SC for PTSD. What is my next step? I have already went to DAV at the local VA office and they told me I need another C and P exam and that might be another 9 to 12 months. I think this is total BS. Mooshi
  16. I just got back from VA and DAV. I even had the SSDI letter which they didn't even want to look at. I was a bit confused. DAV told me since I am 30% PTSD with SC I would have to get another C and P exam to get to 70% before I could jump to 100%. What are they talking about? Very upset right now. I made a call to my local Congressman's office and they invited me to meet them tomorrow. More to follow I guess.
  17. Yes. It is for PTSD, major depressive disorder(same as PTSD?), and non service connected Sleep Apnea.
  18. I have a question on this combination. I am 30% disabled for PTSD and just recently got my Fully Favorable letter for SSDI after the third try. Since my VA paperwork means nothing to the SSA, does my SSDI letter mean anything to the VA? I am basically asking if I can now raise my 30% rating for PTSD now that I got a Fully Favorable letter from the SSA. Also am I eligible for anything else? Do I also file for SSI while I am waiting the 30 to 60 days for my pay rate for SSDI or what do I do?
  19. Don't give up. Yes, waiting sucks but you got this far. I hired a lawyer from the beginning and still got declined twice. I just got my Fully Favorable letter this past Friday after I did an exam last October. Third time was literally a charm.
  20. Don't do this stuff by yourself first. I hired a lawyer from the get go and still got denied TWICE. I finally had to go to court and do an exam in person. One day shy of four months I got my decision via the mail. FULLY FAVORABLE!
  21. I was told by my judge two to four months and the decision would be mailed to me. I got my decision one day short of four months! I got a Fully Favorable decision after being declined twice and I had a lawyer then also.
  22. I have 30% on PTSD. The VA also gave me a CPAP machine for my Sleep Apnea but is trying to tell me my Sleep Apnea is not service related. How do I get this changed? Do I need to get an IMO or what do I do? I talked to someone else who does not even have PTSD and he has 50% for Sleep Apnea and 30% for razor bumps? You have got to be kidding me! So he has 80% and no combat and I have PTSD and supposedly a non service connected Sleep Apnea and only 30% total disability. I need to know if I need a VA lawyer or what. I am in San Antonio, TX. Thanks in advance. Mooshi
  23. I feel I did pretty well on the exam and was told I would get a mailed decision from the judge in 2 to 4 months. Well I was declined twice before my actual case where I had to go in person with my lawyer. I hired Heard and Smith and am still waiting. What might be taking so long? Was it the holidays or what? I know I sound impatient but I was evicted by a family member on the 21st of December 2009 and temporarily living with a friend right now. If it wasn't for my friend helping I would be homeless right now. I just need to know what is up. Has anyone got their decision before the 4 month wait? Mooshi
