They posted the results of my BVA hearing, http://www.va.gov/vetapp06/files2/0606980.txt
They awarded me a 40% rating on my back and 40% on the foot drop for a combined total of 60%.
My question is: during the time this appeal was in process I tripped and fell due to the foot drop and broke my leg. I filed for the broken leg as secondary to the foot drop and was awarded 10% for the broken leg.
I figure the total award should be 40% + 40% + 10% for a total of 70%. Right?
This hearing result is all I have received to date, no letter from the regional office. Every time I call the VA 1-800 number I get the run around.
I was concerned that since I have not heard anything from the regional office that they may be trying to take away the 10% for the broken leg under some sort of pyramiding rule.
What do you think? Any action I should take?
Thanks, Thumper
Edited to add: They also have my dates of service wrong in this letter, they list 1976-1983 and I was in service from 1973-1983 does this matter? Do I need to address this?
