  1. Hey Veterans, read this article for your information!!!! www.veteransforcommonsense.org/index.php/veterans-category-articles/1552-byron-pitts
  2. Thank you for sharing this. This is great, and I am so proud for the veteran. I hope the veteran gets all the retro-pay for 58 years.
  3. Hello. If you are represented by a Disabled American Veteran (DAV) organization, and a rep there is working on your claim, thenget back with that particular rep. If you represent yourself, then all you can do is either call the 1-800-827-1000 number to ask about the status of your claim. This 800 number connectes to various call centers. I live in Alabama, and when I call in, I get a call center in Utah. Nevertheless, someone at a call center pulls up info in the computer system. They then can tell you your status. My claim has been going on since 2002, and I am really familiar on what to do.
  4. To all veterans, please go to this website and read: www.gulfwarvets.com/va_officials_bonuses.htm Just want to share it, you will find it very interesting.
  5. March 27, 2007 "Why Veterans are Waiting VA Hands out Millions in Bonuses to Employees while Veterans Left Waiting for Benefits." http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_robert_a_070324_why_veterans_are_wai.htm
  6. I am so sorry they did this to you. Call the 1-800 number again, go into the option to new or change direct deposit, and talk to the person who comes on the line and tell them what happened, and that they need to put a trace on this as to where it went.
  7. Hi, thanks. Yes, filing my NOD this morning.
  8. Yes, thank you!! I agree. Gettin ready to give them my NOD and my Congressman will do a congressional. They refuse to recognize my secondary condition, which the VA doctor actually stated in his diagnosis. Only used dietitian clinical notes to also deny me? Don't think so, when I have 4 SSA docs and numerous VA doc's diagnosis. No, the SSA is also for S/C disability.
  9. Hey, thanks for your comment. And may I say, I like your photo!! Yes, I turning in my NOD, and my Congressman is doing a Congressional. Oh yes, their bonus is for denying claims. They get at least $300.00 for denying every veteran they can, this is from all VARO's. I'm fixin to rubber stamp them through my Congressional. Yeah, got a tute problem allright, they admitted their error in 2007 and haven't been compensated yet cause they keep denying. That's okay, I was in the Navy, and my ship won't sink!!
  10. I proved on my own that this VARO made a previous CUE, so they finally admitted their error. They are getting ready to find out how big of an attitude problem I have from my Congressman. They keep screwing me like a hot date. The rater ignored the documentation to get their performance bonus, ya know, what ever floats their boat, but I have a bigger boat that doesn't sink. Oh, I totally agree with you.
  11. Yes this is true. Every time a veteran is denied, the VA adjudicator gets a performance bonus. GAO in Washington tells the Judges at the Board of Vetrerans Appeals, the VA doctors and all involved how to write up consult notes, progress notes, etc. also. My claim has been going on since 2002, the VA finally admitted their error in 2007, but I get, "the examiner notes that you have all your arms and legs". Yes, the employees gets at least a $300.00 performance bonus for every veteran denied.
  12. To my fellow veterans, I share this bait and switch story in dealing with the VARO Montgomery, AL adjudicator who has the initial "M" for the last name. This adjudicator denied my Unemployability claim filed last June 2010, but SSA approved my disability that same month. This adjudicator denied me because of only reviewing my clinical notes May 2009--from a clinical dietitian ; and read only one set of doctor's findings out of 4 doctor's findings from SSA. This adjudicator did not review my Health Summaries, which are the diagnosis from each VA doctor they sent me to. This adjudicator did not review the other set of medical diagnosis from each SSA doctor/ This adjudicator stated this on my denial letter under EVIDENCE. No wonder my 9 years of medical documentation was reviewed in 1 day, my records reviewed?? NOT!! which was the same day of my denial letter. I am sure my state House of Representative will handle this, as he has already told me he would. Case in point-----this adjudicator got a $300.00 performance bonus for denying me. Second, please read on what evidence they read when they deny you and fight back.
  13. We Veterans need to get together and take a stand for the VA to change their acronym. It needs to be changed to "Veterans Abuse" instead of Veterans Administration, don't you think? Lets all vote on this change!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!! Keep screwing us, you Regional offices, feels better than a hot date!!
  14. To all fellow veterans....the real reason why any of our claims are denied is that the General Accounting Office (GAO) in Washington drives the train to deny any claim for any veteran; GAO tells the Board of Veteran's Appeals how to instruct the medical examiners to examine the veterans and how to word the diagnosis; in turn, once that is reviewed by a adjudicator, the adjudicator denies the veteran, thus the adjudicator as a VA employee receives a performance adward bonus" for every veteran's claim they deny. I found the GAO report in the internet!! The VA convienently disregards approval by the Social Security Administration for disability when submitting that as evidence in a claim of any kind. Please pass the word, and complain to every Senator and Congressman, and them some!!! Get mad, and help each other!!
