  1. Stupid question, but where can I find this GW Review? Thanks Pete.....great info again, as always! B6
  2. I would recommend that you contact your local VR&E and get an appointment to see a counselor. Once the counselor see that you are physically UNABLE to work.......they will put that into a report. Then you can go down a few days later, to the ROI office (release of Information) and get what he/she wrote a in the VR&E report and use that as evidence for TDIU! Good Luck again! Hang in there! B6 Edit: Grammer and Spelling!! Imagine that!
  3. I think your chances would be pretty good once the VARO seen that you performed poorly on the Physical Limitation test. I think it would be a great piece of evidence to help you get granted TDIU! JMHO! Good Luck B6
  4. I was referring to my mis-spelled words BTW! B6
  5. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Needed that one this morning!! B6 Edit: Spelling! Go Figure!
  6. I posted this for someone else but it may apply to you as well: You need to be assess by an Occupational Therapist supporting your physical limitations. Have your PCP give you a referral to see an Occupational Therapist, they will conduct a Physical Limitation test (push, pull, walk, etc) to support that you are PHYSICALLY unable to work. Once that is done, you will be referred to VR&E which will contact you for a ILS assessment (well this happened in my case). Usually this person is a VR&E counselor, so they can write a letter stating that you are unable to gain suitable employment. Once this is done, POOF, you will have medical evidence to support being awarded TDIU. Good Luck! B6
  7. Is your condition PTSD? Just wondering! Don't give up........that's what they want you to do! Good Luck! B6
  8. I agree with Pete........your rating is kinda low in order to be awarded SMC! JMHO! B6 Edit: Welcome to Hadit!
  9. I just called my bank (Armed Forces) mine is there toooooo! Thank God! B6
  10. Nothing wrong with being optimistic but be prepared for a VA let down. I think you have a strong case and seems that you have done your homework. Good Luck! B6
  11. Great point.......I totally realized it after I wrote it. I actually realized it not more than 10 minutes ago, after remembering he has MH problems versas physical limitations! So I came back to make a correction and see that I've been corrected! Awesome! Thanks Carlie, I was missing the boat on this one!! B6
  12. You need to be assess by an Occupational Therapist supporting your physical limitations. Usually this person is a VR&E counselor, so they can write a letter stating that you are unable to gain suitable employment. Once this is done, POOF, you have new medical evidence to support being awarded TDIU. The statement above is EXACTLY what I did. Then a week later I was granted IU! PERIOD! Good Luck, B6
  13. Great post! Always enjoy reading your post(s) John! God Bless! B6
  14. I was granted P&T at age 41! Someone feed you some BS about being 55!
  15. I think this must be your PCP, because my PCP does 6 refills for Hydro 10's (180 per month)......with a 3 month check-up in-between! I really hope you have better luck finding some kind of pain relief .......God Bless! B6
  16. Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) Independent living services (ILS) http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/vre/
  17. When I was granted P&T, I asked the same question and quickly found out that there is NO dental for dependents! We looked into getting Delta Dental, but they want 1 YEAR with them before they start covering dental costs! 90 dollars a month is what they want to charge my family! We are still debating it, but as of right now, I just shelled out 4k for my wife teeth not more than 3 weeks ago. Good Luck! B6
  18. Have you tried having a VRE counselor write a statement stating you are unemployable? Have you gone through VRE, if so, have you had an ILS assessment of your home from a VRE counselor? This would help your claim, IMHO, big time! I was denied IU but once I had this statement from VRE stating that I was unemployable due to my SC condition, I was granted within a week. Literally, I read the denial on a Friday, called my VRE counselor that same day (in which he just left my house on the day of the denial), he wrote said letter, by the next Wednesday, he called and told me that I was granted IU! So for me it took said letter to be granted TDIU! B6
  19. This is EXACTLY my condition in my right lower leg (30% SC'd)! Tibia/Fib fracture requiring IM nailing in July 1999! I'm VERY surprise that they didn't diagnose arthritis at the fracture sight and possible in the right knee along with the ankle. I can't understand why they would elect to remove the IM nailing. I'm SHOCKED, that procedure was even done! B6
  20. Halo2.....change that level of disability on your profile......it felt SO good when I changed mine! Congrats again!!
  21. I would have taken it! Congrats! B6
