  1. Gastone's post in Chapter 31 Vocational Rehab if I already have a job? was marked as the answer
With the VA VR Program, you're not precluded from entering the program just because your employed. Your SC Rating makes you eligible.
What do you need for the 1st meeting with a VRC, really just yourself. Unless things have drastically changed, after the meet and greet, you'll watch a couple of VR Program Videos about the Program. Then you'll receive a "No Wrong answer" check the box, lengthy questionnaire regarding different types of employment. Takes about a week for the results to be analyzed and recommendations made.                                                                            After completing the Questionnaire, you'll then have your 1st sit down with your assigned VRC to discuss what you're trying to accomplish.  This could range from going back to school,  help you in getting a job with the Gov/VA or possibly even starting a Self-Employment business.
  2. Gastone's post in RECENT C & P EXAM was marked as the answer
The C & P Clinician's Medical Opinion is your Depression & Anxiety Symptoms are not identifiable as separate disability issues.
I doubt there's any chance of a Rater Awarding individual SC's for either condition, based on the recent C & P. Both conditions are usually part and parcel of a PTSD DX.
At 50%, you're not Schedule eligible to file for IU but there is the possibility of the Rater putting you in for an extra-Scheduler IU Rating if your C-File Record of Evidence supports it.
  3. Gastone's post in Six Attorney's was marked as the answer
In regards to the BVA JMR, what did your VA Lawyer have to say, recommendation wise? How long had she been your attorney?
Bronc, I must be missing something. Your Lawyer had to Refund $6K EAJA Legal Fees from Remand. Did she get the full boat 20% of your total Retro Award? I don't follow the "so I paid $6000 less."
A friend recently used the Pro Bono Vet Legal Consortium for last 4 mos of his BVA Appeal that was eventually Denied. Awarded a Remand at the CAVC, Vet Consortium scored $17.5K in legal Fees paid by VA because of the Remand being considered a Win.
A year Later, RO Awarded ED SMC K with about 6.5 yrs of Retro. His Appeal had been at the BVA for about 2 yrs when he started getting antsy and decided to contact a VA Lawyer. I warned him about the low Retro ($7 - 8K) being a problem, it proved true. He tried Attig's Firm and 2 other Nationally Advertised Firms. All were too busy, couldn't help him, but wished him well. He never really got to talk to any of the Lawyers, all the call screeners almost immediately begged off.
I then pointed him at the VLC which worked out for everyone concerned.
