I said no and they sent me a letter back and said that they show hehas for 3 years now and was never reported. THEY NEVER ASKED he gets NO 1099 he is 100% permanent disabled compensation NOT pension. 5. I don't know what I am going to with myself? I finally received my 100% plus my 60% for housebound. Been a long journey. Special shout out to T-Bird and Carlie who always encouraged me to hang in there and fight the good fight. I did just that and finally won. Thanks all that helped. Oh by the way, a nice little Retro for the housebound!!! Special note to all who have been asking if they have to file for the House Bound. NO Once I got to the 100 plus 60 they gave it to me automatic, did not have to file or ask for it.
  6. And you know this HOW?? Amazing broncovet how much you know about the VA system??????????
  7. Question: Lets say the DRO rules/decides in your favor for your appeal. Does the DRO rate it or does it have to go on to a rater? Thanks in advance, Chu
  8. Thanks T Hey how is the new companion doing? Everything work our ok for ya on that?
  9. Thanks Carlie, was not sure but thought so. Hope your doing ok?
  10. Can a veteran recieve 2 100% ratings for 2 different SC'ed problems? I know you can only be compensated for 1. But can you have two 100% ratings?
  11. Watching you in the waiting room?? Watching you when you leave?? Really?? So they have people sneaking around watching everyone? Come on people!! Remind me to never go to your VAMAC!!! Have never heard that but if its true, now that's lower then low!!!!!! But I guess that is possible. That's not kewl at all!!
  12. Thats very common. Happens a lot. You should hear something soon. Try and be patient and just remember, its like having $$ in the bank when you win your award.
  13. Here we go again with your REAL PROBLEMS. Yes, YOU do have a real problem. Sorry for the confusion
  14. My friend please EXCUSE ME when I attempt to educate you on "There are other vets with real issues" AO IS A REAL Issue for a lot of VETS and its a serious one. I recent your quote of REAL ISSUES!! Some of you people in here sometimes think your the only ones with REAL ISSUES? I'm very sorry that some of you complain about things you can not control and insinuate that your claim is more important then others?????? I get so tired of the nit picking, complaining, and winning that some seem to insist on doing. It only hurts than helps. We are ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS WITH REAL ISSUES or we would not be in here seeking help with our ISSUES.
  15. NO, its because Veterans with Agent Orange Claims most of the time are presumptuous meaning these are easy fast cases to decide because all the vet has to do is prove boots on the ground. Besides that alot of vets have been waiting along time also in having their claims decided. God bless Congress for approving these extra added presumptive agent orange cases. Im sorry you feel like you have been pushed aside. A lot of us vets have had that feeling at one time or another. It is what it is and it will be rated when its rated. Just try and be a little bit happy that its at the rating board. Tons of vets have not even got that far yet. I know, been there done that!! Not good for the ole PTSD!!! PS, I try to tell my vet friends to stay off the 800# now, because you can get mixed results that can or can not be correct. Only causes more stress. I know its hard to do, hell I used to call every single day just to give me the satisfaction that at least I talked to someone, good or bad. Again, IT is what IT is.
  16. In some rural like you, the VA can send someone to you. Its worth asking. I have heard that in some rural areas there is VA MOBILE HEALTH Vans that will come to you. Again call a social worker at your VAMC and explain that to them. Might be worth that call if there is flat out nothing closer. I do know for fact that they have MOBILE Vans that go to rural areas to help file for benefits (DAV, American Legion, etc) You may even get transportation provided from them to get you to the VAMAC. The Social Workers at the VMAC are good about these things. Check them out if you have not all ready.
  17. Then your effective date has to be NOV1. They DID NOT HOLD BACK A MONTH ON MY CLAIM. My effective date was April 09 and I got a check for the pro rated amount of April on May 1st. Simple as that.
  18. Remember your own words Tbird! "But all good things are worth waiting for. So far so good" Be patient you will soon greet your new found friend and house mate. All good things happen to good people who keep the faith. Remember my salute. Respect, honor, and the Love of your fellow comrades will help keep you sane until SPOT gets there LOL Hang tight!! I think its a wonderful idea!!
  19. I agree with you Godeep!! Deers and E Benefits have been great for me too!!
