  1. The VA Dental Handbook, can be found online. Here’s Bay Pines Implant pamphlet.
  2. yes, sarcasm, maybe that’s what it is. i’m a real straight arrow. If it is I would delete it I wouldn’t want other visitors to see that. But that’s just me.
  3. and the fact is the “policy“ is real it’s just not written down and therefore “not a policy“ and “it doesn’t exist.“ Oh yeah it exist do I really think my dentist sent me 15 messages over a month telling me that they have such a policy that she could be so wrong after working for the VA for 15 years at the same place? No. The big chief didn’t tell me right nor did he set the situation straight. And that’s the end of that I’ve got plenty of things to sue the VA about all one big pile anyone of them are good enough by itself. When I say good enough I don’t mean for any award I mean to get in the door of a court that’s the first hurdle that’s really the only hurdle as far as I’m concerned because I don’t care what happens after that as long as I get heard and I’m able to present it and hopefully to a jury because a newspaper article just isn’t going to cut it. Neither will such a court case. I just think people should know we’re paying their taxes for this And think we’re getting all this great care. And think we’re getting all this great care. I had one VA clinician tell me, As she looked for something in a drawer, “well, you get it for free.” Anyway I’m not trying to start a new thing here in my thread just defending myself a little bit I think it’s perfectly justifiable to question why someone would write something like the VA has good reason to distrust veterans. Maybe they do, let’s hear them.
  4. “The VA has ‘trust Issues’ with Veterans for some very good reasons. ....they earned it.” - Broncovet That got to me. it’s the other way around. period. I have no problem with any individual, but I wrote a big post about my problems with dental and other things in the first response was that. if I was a moderator I would’ve deleted it. That is all. I didn’t mean to start a big thing. But I viewed it as bait I didn’t want to take it now I’ve taken it and look what’s happened. It’s OK everything is copacetic I’d like to hear from bronco vet why he wrote that or why he feels that the VA has good reason to distrust veterans. If he wants to answer that’s fine if not that’s fine too because that’s really not my concern I’m concerned about medical care which includes dental care and mental health care, under the rules which the VA has established. Nothing more but nothing less.
  5. Most of my VA compensation is for mental. I’m sick of it too. That’s how I found this place many years ago I just don’t hang out because I’m paranoid. I don’t put all my information in my bio and I hope I’m completely anonymous. and That’s a damn shame. I believe I made a post here a few years ago I may have deleted it after a while, but the psychiatrist lied to me and said in writing “all veterans are being weaned off of all controlled substances by order of the FDA.“ That of course is anybody knows was a bold face lie or at least a falsehood that he misunderstood. But it preempt him discussing the medication that I had been on before and possibly trying it again. Now here I am four years later and I have that medication finally. And that guy doesn’t work at the clinic anymore. That former medical captain in the army. I’m not gonna give his name because I don’t want anybody trying to identify me. Which I’m sure they could probably do if they wanted to anyway. I don’t trust anybody anywhere. Much less the VA. They’ve consistently lied to me and I have it all documented. And I know what my damages are because of it. And I’m well aware that you cannot get punitive damages. But I can get other damages. My thing now is that if this is all happening to me this is happening to lots of other people. But I’m pretty smart and I’m very persistent and I have gotten these chiefs to write out messages that are extremely incriminating. It took a long time and hundreds of messages. I know what I’m doing. Whether anything happens because of it or not is a whole Nother story. I don’t care anymore if I win or lose but I think a jury or a judge should at least know what the hell is going on. Since the VA has no real accountability office anywhere. I’ve taken to telling VA workers recently and doctors and psychiatrist that hey you guys have this PACT system and you meet and you discussed the patient’s right? Yes they do that’s exactly what they do. I said well you could probably help a lot of us if you invited us to one of those meetings say once a year or once every two years or once every six months. But I’d like to have 30 minutes in front of that pack and guess what I don’t have any questions I just want you all to see you at one time with the other one is doing.
  6. Exactly. I agree what does that have to do with the VA lies? Was that statement supposed to mean that they don’t where did they have a good reason to lie to us because they don’t trust us. exactly. I agree what does that have to do with the VA lies? Was that statement supposed to mean that they don’t where did they have a good reason to lie to us because they don’t trust us. Moreover what does any of that have to do with dental. I knew I shouldn’t of taken broncovets bait. That’s kind of how the VA works isn’t it turning us against each other.
  7. Brocovet is right about the VA having good reasons not to trust veterans? That’s what I questioned him on. I don’t believe that indeed it’s the other way around. I don’t know. If your didn’t claim took 23 years then maybe your experience was better than mine. i’ve been in the VA for 36+ years. I am way beyond the 20 year rule I am P and T with “no future appointments”. I have, in writing been lied to by three doctors in the last five years — IN SECURE MESSAGE (WRITING) of Course I have copies — that caused me to be denied treatment and to believe I had for example an abdominal aneurysm when I did not. Now I’m being lied to by community care dentist. So no you pegged me wrong. I know who you are I’ve read about your story here before I sympathize with you. I to have sue the government before, the army. In the federal court of claims and I won. Lawyers would not help me. That took ironically also 23 years. piece by piece. And that is separate and distinct from my previous VA claims. Again I was questioning the poster about why he would say the VA has good reasons not to trust veterans. Honestly I don’t really care I didn’t intend to take the bait of that post but here I am. But I’m out now. I’ve taken pictures of everything in this thread in case I need it for future record to start a lawsuit I can try to contact some people perhaps. I’m sorry for your loss.
  8. that’s right. that’s me. You’re not gonna see all my stuff in my user description here. I probably should’ve said in my first post when I started this thread but that’s who it’s for. Anything else is too complicated at this point. I’m not saying anything else shouldn’t be part of it I’m just saying at this point for the sake of early discussions.
  9. What a terrible thing to say. That the VA has earned distrusting veterans. Not sure what that has to do with my thread. I wish you’d carry that somewhere else. Do you work for the VA? a moderator who believes that the VA should distrust its veterans… what a terrible thing to say.
  10. thank you. for anyone reading: here are the Dental Handbook and related directive, 2 links/2 books. nevermind the word “Homeless” in the link. https://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/docs/dental/DentalHandbook1130Amended20200320.pdf
  11. this is where there msy seem to be contractual misunderstandings. i have that.
  12. I appreciate you, if anything happens — doubtful — i will let you know. thanks
  13. i have since “deduced” that (read my original message) when the Chief of Dentistry called to say no such policy exist, he wasn’t being very forthcoming. otherwise, why would the VA dentist who me that there was such ‘local policy’ have told me so over half-a-dozen times? i think i know why: what the chief was saying is that there is no written policy for me to access; what he didn’t say is that there is virtually such ‘local policy’ because they never authorize it. get it? thing is, he was agreeing on the phone call that this was a huge deal, therefore not only not forthcoming, but disingenuous, no? to everyone/anyone reading here: do you believe the stated mission of the VA is being met when in one region/state/VA clinic you may not be provided for because they don’t have what you need, but other VA clinics do? do you not believe that the VA is nationwide system and if one clinic cannot treat for lack of tools or specialized provider, they should arrange for your travel to one that does? i have messages saying, regarding full dental (groups 1 & 4), the VA website and Dental Handbook say, for one thing, “comprehensive” dental care, i have messages that say “your comprehensive care is based on what we have available.” thus, at one clinic you may not get proper treatment while at another, because they have a specialist in staff or in the community, you will get it. sounds like a class action lawsuit to me, if you can show damage or inappropriately handled tooth or bone loss for failure to treat (waiting/ watching for years only to later extract when it could have been prevented or delayed). anyone interested in such a filing, let me know, please. ps. there is more solid “evidence”. win or lose, ppl ought to at least know what’s happening. only a court case will do that, not a newspaper article. a news article will not contain under oath statements matched against same persons writings and sworn depositions, a court case will.
  14. Ok. I serendipitously found out what a dental bone graft was when my outside assigned by VA dentist was denied authorization but put one in anyway. After that I begin messaging through the secure messaging system my dentist who for 30 days and over 15 messages and 15 replies (approx) Told me every which way to Sunday that “VA does not authorize bone graft.” During the last 32 days of questioning through the messaging system about this to the same dentist, it was revealed that this was local VA policy. So I asked about how stranger possibly cruel that was, that a veteran could move to another place and get a bone graft! IF said Vet KNEW IT WAS HAPPENING!!! then about a week ago in the early evening my phone rings and it’s the chief of dentistry at Bay Pines. After he identified himself to me and myself to him he told me “what you’ve been hearing about a no bone graphs policy, is not true” and never existed. So I was denied at least one. No telling how long this dentist or that whole office has been telling veterans this policy was real and how many they’ve denied. BE AWARE.
  15. Sorry. I can’t see threads. Idk why. I can even find a list if forums. Maybe if I was on s computer instead of a phone. Thanks
  16. Can you link me to that forum, please? Thanks. ps. yes, anything I did would in the US Court of Fed Claims. because it’d be way after damage was done. not looking for any new ratings. Btw, I sued USA in Fed Claims Ct. no lawyer would help me. I won. That initial victory took nearly 10 years, more followed. problem is, WHAT you can and cannot get damages for (and what type damages) and more importantly: how to present/argue it in language that rings the bells. eg, the case I had... there was no money, not damages. law didn’t allow. BUT you must be “creative” with your trap placements.
  17. Thanks Buck, good stuff. I’m outside now, too. very long story. however, the “neglect” means we’re trying to play to catchup, which as we know has been left to deteriorate... still is in large part ... as catchup takes even more time, and, in some cases (teeth numbers) LOSS. here’s question I’ll be seeking out soon: when I got assigned outside (1 year; comprehensive treatment)... i had several lengthy conversations with the outside dentist’s “VA clerk.” That person and others there rather happily repeated: “We can do up to $1000. a day without authorization.” meaning: on me; without VA authorization(s). Anybody got any info on such authority? I haven’t seen them use it!!! for example: I was in desperate need of some kind of fancy in office only deep cleaning several dentist that I saw for free told me that. So when I got to this dentist and they told me that thousand dollar thing I said great you can clean my teeth every day and charge them $1000 as far as I’m concerned. They did finally give me a deep cleaning probably based on me saying that more than once. They did finally give me a deep cleaning probably based on me saying that more than once. But now I find that the dentist has inserted bone when the VA said “no bone”. I had to go back to have her check the surgery and the stitches that are going to be in for four weeks. And I had a chance to ask her what she meant and then why did she put bone in when they said no bone. Her first response was “it’s not gonna hurt me, I’m not going to go bankrupt“. I said but why didn’t you not follow there orders for “no bone“ which I saw written on the note on the desk. I offered her a little help I said well, would you say you felt it was unethical not to put the bone in there? she said yes. OK so if they can charge $1000 a day why don’t they just charge that off to the thousand dollars a day? Perhaps there is no thousand dollars a day thing and they’re just confused, But I guess it falls to me to figure it out. I don’t just let things go. And I’m in a spot whether to try to find $350 to pay this doctor so I don’t accept her work for free. and I don’t really want to broach this issue at the office yet because I don’t wanna be a nuisance. For example I would like to tell the clerk please bill the VA for that bone thing, because I need the VA if they’re going to refuse you to do it formally so I can try to recoup the money if I pay you. If you don’t bill them then you didn’t give them a chance to pay it. I also told them they should use the word “emergent” And also the phrase “bone loss”… I’ll leave any unethical parts on why she did it to her they could be had later. But I know all about these waiting games and trying to get reimbursed and all that stuff so I’m not going in without my ducks in a row.
  18. can someone please link the proper forum for discussing dental complaints? if it is here, then my question is: i’m seeking information about why or when the VA extract the tooth and they do not immediately put bone material in or I guess it’s called “allograft.” If you look up “dental bone graft” you find that is common practice to do that stuff at the time of extraction. I didn’t know anything about the stuff and about “melting“ upper and lower jaw and how fast it occurs, very fast. So now I know why on my upper jaw there’s two big giant “U” shapes it’s on either side — The bone has gone away in both places. Why was I never told about bone graft being put in or not being put in. Why do I have to go find out about that stuff by myself 2-5 years later? does the VA think that well we can just build new jawbones later? In other words they opt to delay and just do it with the situation is much worse? In fact when it might not even be able to be done? in other words they opt to delay and just do it with the situation is much worse? In fact when it might not even be able to be done? So what’s the deal what’s the rule as to when the VA does bone grafting on an extraction or not? i’ve got years secure secure messaging messages did I have saved to the dental people, YEARS. And not once do they educate me on my jawbones. of course I didn’t exactly ask but I’m dancing all around it because I’m not the doctor and I don’t know what these things are but if you read some of those messages I wrote I’m sure right on it, without knowing. and I guess if I don’t use the right terms then they have been ignoring me. Or they already know they’re not gonna do it and what they’re going to do. They’re not going to hand me a sheet of paper with it written on it we’re just gonna wait until I find out. I’m pretty pissed off. But let’s start with what the rules are. if anyone can point me to this information or tell me some similar information I’d sure like to know. As I said the lead dentist at my VA clinic told me I should get dental insurance. When I’m already and gave been class IV P&T.
  19. Thank you, so much. I will return. Your post made me feel safe here. (hyper-vigilance; paranoia — if i have ptsd, as several drs have said but never officially, it’s not from military combat. i like to be clear. thank you for the tort claims references. btw, i’m having a hard time finding the forums page here?
  20. I AM SO SORRY! i fixed it: SHIT MYSELF. not SHOT MYSELF. damn. Thank you ps. I Realize you guys are not doctors and lawyers although you might be you’re not mine. I’m just talking about it letting people know.Realize you guys are not doctors and lawyers although you might be you’re not mine. I’m just talking about it letting people know.
  21. I got a tooth extracted. Before the extraction I saw a note of the desk — didn’t know what it meant or even if it was related to me. This was an outside dentist that the VA has assigned me to — as I can no longer get to VA dental clinic due to driving-anxiety issues. Previous VA dentist sent me message: “this dentist will take care of your comprehensive dental needs.” I’m Class IV. The note said: “No bone.” since then I have looked all of the stuff up. And I realize now that I think it was quite cruel to not authorize “bone.” The dentist made a comment while doing this extraction, that again I didn’t understand until I studied up on it all later. And I didn’t ask the dentist any questions until a week after that. But during the extraction the dentist mumbled something about that they weren’t going to not put bone in there. A week later I went back for a check up and I asked the dentist why they didn’t “not put bone“ as the note said. First the dentist started explaining how it wasn’t going to bankrupt them. But then I started talking or asking questions and I said well did you do that because you thought it was “unethical“ not to? The dentist shook their head and said, “well, yes.” obviously the dentist didn’t just do it for the heck of it. since learning all of the stuff now I realize that three other teeth that the VA pulled there was never any bone grafting. And now I know about this melting jaw and now I know about how much bone is missing and how fast it goes. If you haven’t researched the stuff you should because it happens fast. now perhaps the VA says all of this can be done later. Perhaps they believe that you could be missing a whole lot more bone than you are now and it can all be repaired later. Of course the problem with this is getting it done and all the time that passes trying to get something approved. There’s really no excuse for them not doing it like most dentist do and that is at the time of extraction. They still might have to do more later if you were to get implants or something like that — I’ve been told “good luck” getting implants by a VA dental tech. I’ve also been told “well you get it for free.” Which I reported to the lead dentist who said nothing about it and made no apology. The VA lead dentist also told me I should buy dental insurance through the VA — the lead dentist wrote that to me in a secured message so all of this as well documented. Furthermore in seeking the treatment I desperately needed for years because I realize the VA wasn’t doing it they were taking way too long to do it. And I was using all those over-the-counter pain medications for year approximately a tube day on about three or four different teeth! So what I did was I went around to a bunch of free dentist who gave you a complete work up for free x-rays and everything. I went to five dentist in one endodontist. Two of them I paid $100. The endodontist wrote a three page report and he thought I was going to be back really soon because I needed three or four route canals badly. The VA assigned me to an outside dentist to get some of the stuff done finally after I twisted their arm With my reports. I went and saw their first outside guy and he did a complete work up of course I didn’t say very much because you know, it’s a dental exam! about a week after that I saw the plan he worked up and he had one root canal in it. So I sent him an email asking listen I need about three root canal‘s really quickly and I can’t wait months for the VA to approve your entire plan. And also, you only had one root canal in your plan, why was that when I need at least four? this dentist wrote me back a letter saying he would not comment on what these other dentist had told me and that he would have the endodontist when he sent me to the endodontist look at those other reported teeth. And then he went on to say in his letter that if I had been seeing all these other dentist for the last few years that this indeed was, and I quote, “neglect.“ I wrote back thank you very much your number six I haven’t been seeing any deaths except the VA for the last 10 years. I went and got these letters and examinations to get the VA to act. I think with a lot of people including the damn doctors at the VA don’t realize is that all this time that goes by your body is deteriorating your losing bone and losing it fast. I’m writing this post to talk about that dental stuff. I don’t know what to do about this dentist I could pay $350 for the bone the dentist said was unethical not to put in. The dentist is not gonna even try to build the VA for it. I guess because they feel like they won’t get it because it was an authorized in the first place. No I can’t really ask the dentist to go through that billing the VA and being refused because they probably don’t want to get involved. But if they did do that and the VA refused and then I paid then perhaps I could try to get it back from the VA my case would be stronger for that particular Money. Or maybe it would be the same strength. I have at least three other cases with the VA of either failure to diagnose or failure to treat. And those things are part of what constitutes malpractice as far as I’ve understood recently as I had to become Joe Junior lawyer. I had no idea about all of the stuff and how fast these deterioration‘s and bone loss could occur and what could happen to your face until afterwards. Years afterwards. I see I have other instances. For example my clinic got a new PCP to take the place of mine of 15 years. My first experience was that I went to the hospital overnight we don’t know why but if that time they discovered an aortic aneurysm. later I was sent to some imaging place six months later and I suppose it was to get another look at that. And as I learned about those things I found out that they monitor the size and the growth rate. When I got the report from my PCP it said I had an AAA and that an AAA ultrasound would be given again in a year to monitor it for size. I looked up AAA, it said abdominal aortic aneurysm. I also looked up how you monitor these things. I found out that for abdominal aneurysms you use the ultrasound. I also found out that there’s thoracic aneurysm’s and for that they use CT scans due to the chest cavity. OK so I learned about aneurysms. then I decided wouldn’t it be cool to see a picture of that. So I contacted the imaging place which was an outside place. And I got the images in the reports. Of course the pictures didn’t look like anything to me. But the written reports were there. The report said I had an ascending thoracic aneurysm, Not an abdominal aneurysm. And I never been curious I’ve never known that I don’t have an abdominal aneurysm. And had they used an ultrasound on my abdomen a year later I would not of known that they’re not only in the wrong place but using the wrong tool. and I never been curious I’ve never known that I don’t have an abdominal aneurysm. And had they used an ultrasound on my abdomen a year later I would not of known that they’re not only in the wrong place but using the wrong tool. I wrote the doctor and asked her to explain this misdiagnosis. she would not do it she stayed on that I had an AAA aneurysm. this went on for a month and I finally forced her to telephone me. She still wouldn’t cop to the mistake. And said I should get all my VA records and that I would find it there. She also didn’t bother to tell me that that scan showed gallstones no one had ever diagnosed me with gallstones I only knew it from myself reading the report. That explains a lot of problems I’ve been having too. finally I complained and it took a long time and I got a lot of back talk about it, I finally got a call from the second in charge of primary care from the VA regional hospital. This man called me belligerent and referred to Secure messages that had nothing to do with my complaint and that he was miss reading completely. And then finally after his 15 minute diatribe I said and yes and what about the AAA? and he said very quickly and continue talking, “oh that was a mistake.“ And continue talking and I went wait wait... what? you say “that was a mistake.“ I said so that’s what I’m contacting you about. He said oh I’ll have a talk with the doctor. I said yes and I’ll have another doctor please. I never got one the doctor has never admitted the mistake and I don’t know anything about anything. Here’s one more I’ve been getting steroid shots in my shoulders at the VA for probably 10 years but they last me a long time perhaps a year. I went through the whole rigmarole with them about calling ortho and getting fresh shots… And once a long time ago I got one of the medical directors involved because they were constantly telling me I had to go get new x-rays. And that was an overuse of x-ray just for more steroid shots. And the VA agreed they said you don’t have to get more x-rays like they already knew that. Of course perhaps sometimes you do but in my case not. here’s one more I’ve been getting steroid shots in my shoulders at the VA for probably 10 years but they last me a long time perhaps a year. Of course perhaps sometimes you do but in my case not. so I’m trying to currently get more shots in my shoulders. I called the ortho as I always do when I want more shots and they said oh you need to contact your PCP. I said no I don’t think so I think I just call you guys like I’ve been doing in the past. They said no you need to contact your PCP. So I said OK I’m just gonna go along this time. And I did about a month or so later I got sent to some outside place for x-rays. — this is ridiculous and a waste— I still haven’t gotten the shots they’re still telling me that they haven’t received the order from the doctor even though I’ve had the x-rays a month ago. So I called ortho again last week. And the person who answered the phone and these are people I’ve been dealing with for years, said “let me tell you how do you get your shots, Who was the doctor they gave you the shots before.?“ I said I don’t know you guys have changed around. But I immediately became extremely upset because this is not what they had just told me two months ago I got really pissed off and hung up the phone. Oh now you’re gonna tell me the right way to do it after I’ve been exposed to more x-ray and I’m still sitting here waiting for months. I’m a psychiatric patient and I have major anxiety problems. We have a new psychiatrist at our clinic and I made an appointment with him because I wanted to try it if he was a makeable to a trial of clonazepam, that I had had before many years ago but never really tried. He told me that, and I have this in writing, “all veterans are being weaned off of all control substances.“ There by cutting that conversation off completely there by me not receiving the treatment I desperately needed. Whether he gave me the pills or not there was no discussion about it Eyeview that is a denial of treatment not because he didn’t wanna try the pills but because he lied to me. This carried on for four months. I asked him to cite his source of that information because I knew it was wrong. He wrote me back a month later saying FDA federal government to be precise. Again I knew he was wrong. I wrote back yes but can you send me a copy can you show me where that is so I can read it. Another month passes and he writes back one one word answer or one acronym answer, “PDR.” well, I know what a PDR is. indeed the PDR has the drug we were talking about or I was talking about in it and exactly what it’s used for which exactly the symptoms I was describing. I have a long history of this it’s not like I’m making something up. so I wrote back to the psychiatrist “what page?“ He was lying again. After I wrote that at 10:30 at night I got a message from him saying that I have “harassed” him and I “have been reported to the appropriate authorities there will be consequences.” I almost had a heart attack. I didn’t know if the police were coming. If the men in white suits were coming. If I was going to be kicked out of the VA. I almost SHIT myself. The next day or the next day I went to a phone booth so I could be anonymous and I called the director of the regional office at the regional hospital. They said oh no way is the secure messaging system should that be used for to like report people or something. They were all on my side until I identified myself and gave them all the messages. Then they sent me some letter of warning. I stayed on it. Eventually the lead psychiatrist called me and apologized for something he didn’t even know what he’s talking about. This is like almost 4 years later. Not interrupted him halfway through and I said you don’t even know what it is you’re apologizing for do you? The patient advocate had put him up to it and I told the patient advocate later that that was a terrible terrible harmful idea. The patient advocate had put him up to it and I told the patient advocate later that that was a terrible terrible harmful idea. I told that doctor when you called me that you need to understand we’re not equals I’m a patient you’re the doctor! he said that the previous psychiatrist who told me that stuff was no longer working at “our clinic.“ I hadn’t wanted to go anywhere near my clinic for any medical item for fear I would even see the guy. he didn’t last there very long, a former captain in the army, and so I called my clinic to make an appointment with the other psychiatrist. Of course now I need really needed one. When I called to make the appointment I asked if the previous guy was still there. They said oh yes he still here. I am mediately called the lead dentist who never return my call I left several messages with the secretary saying why did you tell me the guy was gone when he’s not? I think I should sue the VA. I have all of this documented in messages and a lot of them I printed out I’ve been through a lot more than this with the VA. My compensation claim or the main body of it shall we say was just decided this past summer, I filed it in 1998. I have all the documents I have everything. to be clear, that date just for the whole case to finish. I’ve been receiving VA dental since 2014. I have been deemed P&T since 1998.
  22. However, though I only indirectly asked for it: Nothing on whether this Dr should should be allowed to continue... harassing patients with his privileged ideas of himself and the system. This guy was brand new to clinic where psychs came and went. One of them was even my outside psych once. I tried suicide and he wouldn't see me anymore --though he called me in hospital. Threw me out of his (civilian) office when I returned some other person's medical records they sent me by accident. I had been trying to get an outside referral for a decade. So every new guy that took over (tiny tucked away VA clinic) I would meet and ask for a Community Care referral. I had been successful and given one 2 years before all of this, but it actually came as a surprise a year later, even after the psych who made its had left. So here we are a year or more later, 2 years, and I ask this guy in a 5 minute meeting. Only time I ever saw him and he gave it immediately. I thanked him profusely. However, (Healthnet days) it took forever to arrive and in the end I could not find a psych to take it. A year passes and I had that messaging thing with this new guy. I wrote him 2 months ago to ask for a fresh referral since I had since found someone and was already seeing them. I figured that because he reported me and I reported him, he would either ignore me or immediately issue it without question. He did the later. The last 2 authorizations I had had ICD10 Code F31.0 bipolar. Which is my service connection and rating. I just 2 weeks ago received the new one (no more Healthnet) and on it, issued by this same Dr, of course, the code is changed to F14.94!!! Cocaine dependency; Cocaine induced mood disorder!!! WTF!!!!! I am not a drug addict, not on drugs, etc. Total BS. I had a severe episode (I really have PTSD, also). That's twice: Once in the messages, now changing my dx to Cocaine addict!!! I almost the ER both times, it took a days to recover. UNBELIEVABLE He gaslighted me. HARASSMENT. I called a lawyer, but I'd rather live out the rest of my life in PEACE. I haven't returned the call. I WANT to be done. Now that this clown has done this, I may make a further report. You don't send out information like that without prior examination(s), or UA's, or evidence. I know he will hide the word "Provisional" that's on these things (authorizations)... he's still caused harm and completely unethical. This guy drives a Porsche, wears $500 shoes, has "mind" business (psych clinic) down the street (civilian) and is not getting paid... how much $250,000 a year, by the VA? https://www.glassdoor.com/Salary/US-Department-of-Veterans-Affairs-Psychiatrist-Salaries-E41429_D_KO34,46.htm Pathetic. I can't imagine what's happening to other Vets. or maybe I can. There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY. ...while in other messages this guy was admonishing me to be PROACTIVE IN MY CARE. HA!!! just ANSWER THE Fxxxxxg question! Say: I DON'T KNOW. so I can move on to find the info, HELP why don't you!!! self-righteous (the Dr) prick.
  23. Yes, no that isn't me. Nor was he my psychiatrist. Weird. He should simply have written one reply to request for citation, eg, "I don't know." D'UH. As opposed to HARRASSING a VA patient. Now let me ask you: True or False: 1) All Vets are being weened off narcotics (controlled substances). 2) VA Drs psychiatrist are forbidden from prescribing Benozdiapines. 3) The above is by order of FDA and VA policy. 4) The above policy can be found in the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference). The question was asked on a date ~6 weeks before receiving, and finally on the question/request for citation: "PDR." Now, if you read the thread, do you think those questions have been answered?
