  1. Ellis is a quack so he should be easy to buy. Don't use him for your doctor.
  2. Meghp.....Couldn't agree with you more.
  3. All you have to do is get copies of the pilots log from the Army to show that the mission received hostile fire and prove you were on the mission. Since you didn't seethe tracers there is a good chance there wasn't any. Some pilots and crew members are notorious for trying to scare hell out of rookies. The Navy should have reference to it in your service records. My records from VN were very detailed(time, date ,kind of mission, hostile fire etc. etc). No such luck with medical records.
  4. I sent in medical records from private doctors and a hospital with my initial claim. None of them charged one penny for there opinions, nor did they use phrases like "more likely than not".When I filed for IU about a year later they used the same records. They gave me IU and PT. By the way I was 66 yrs old and retired from my (non government)job. I guess I am naïve but could someone explain to me why you would have to buy an opinion from this Dr Bash guy?
  5. I strongly agree with billy2. I'm not going to get out in the middle of the day to shop.
  6. I agree with Berta. About the only thing that helped me after about 45 years was the Vet Center.I never felt comfortable with the witch doctors. In my opinion they can never relate to what you went through.
  7. I retired off of my civilian job after 30 years, and Igot TDIU when I was 65. Mater of fact I had no rating until after I retired.
  8. I don"t know if it is the same every where but QTC will not give any information out. The VA will not give out the results till a decision is made on your claim. If the VA does the exam you can get the results in aweek or two.
  9. Giving insulin in the hospital is almost SOP anymore. Any kind of stress on the body, such as surgery,or certain diseases can cause insulin levels to go up.
  10. There is no crossbilling with Medicare and VA. I use part A and part B for outside hospitals and doctors. There is no charge for part A but part B will cost you about $100.00 a month. It"s agood deal if you don"t want all of your care to come from VA.
  11. Ketchup56...I tend to agree with you. I do not agree with Cool messing with the SS or VA as a hobby. There is just too many people trying to get help, and have someone cloging up the system.
  12. I am TDIU and 100%. I have never gone to the ER or such, but I still take the meds and do group therapy.I think that if you have PTSD and you do the same thing you won't have to worry about them decreasing your rating.By the way I don't believe there is cure for PTSD, I have been trying to deal with it for 45 years and do not think have to fake it.
  13. It means very little or no change.
  14. Let me get this straight...You want to renounce your citizenship and still get benefits? Go for it! Still sounds like BS to me.
  15. All of my paperwork has gone through Muskogee, Okla RO. They have always scheduled my C and Ps fairly quick and I got my decisions pretty quick. My DAV rep was a pro at my compensation work.I just wish all of you had rep like him. Ijust turned a few things over to him and and he took it from there. I only saw him 3 or 4 times!
  16. I got the envelope today.Put in for unemployability, gave me that plus P&T. Surprised it only took a year to get it. Put my original claims of PTSD and CAD in Nov 2009. Their giving me 100% back to that date. Will be going to DAV tommorow to fill out papers for state benefits such as no property tax, state tax, exise tax, sales tax and other benefits.
  17. Christmas present''''''''''' Got yhe letter from DAV NSO today. I understand this is not an official letter from the VA but they havent been wrong yet.Raising my PTSD from 50% to 70%, CAD is staying at 30%. Individual unemployability and basic eligibility to dependents educational assistance.. P and T??? Hope so, I want to stick it to the property tax people the way they have been sticking it to me the last several years. I have heard some bad stories about the DAV reps but here in OKC they have been great! Turned private medical records into them in Nov 2009 and they ran with it,only seen my rep about four times in that time period. havent even talked to him in eleven months. Guess I will pay him a visit to thank him. No rambling intended to all of you, Thank You!
  18. Sheppard Air Force is in Wichita Falls Texas not Oklahoma.
  19. I am 69 year old VN vet that had aheart attack in 2006. I had stents to keep me alive until I was strong enough to have 5x bypass 1 month later. Applied for IHD,was sent to QTC for exam. Was not able to do treadmill, only echo. QTC"s so called (doctor) said my ejection faction was 50, estimated METS of 9. Said i could (walk) uphill at 5 MPH. Gave me 30% rating. Applied for unemployability for IHD and PTSD 1-6-11 no word yet.I truly hope you get better examiners than I did. Hope their estimates are right . Think maybe I can live another 70 years? Good luck.
