  1. I have a need to locate my last claim. It was denied. The thing is I cant find the paperwork or remember what it was. I was discouraged and figured what's the use, forget it. Now my DVT's are much worse and this may have been the basis for the claim. Can anyone help with a way to get the claim sent to me? I appreciate any, all help, thanks.
  2. See your local, not VA, urologist and ask for help with ED/PME. If he tells you about the latest and greatest prothesis (implant) my advice is go for it man! Email me for further discussion. Regards, jpw4347@yahoo.com
  3. Friend, this can be fixed easier than anyone will believe. Very brief urology proceedure to install an AMS-700. Maybe overnight in hospital. No pain, discomfort. It will look completely normal. No one except spouse needs to know. Very quick, very discrete, completely confidential. In a couple weeks ALL will be well. See a urologist and get it. You may contact me if you like. My ins paid with no questions. (Paxil was very bad for me).
  4. ED causes additional depression. Tell your VA doc and file your claim. You will be called in for a genitrol exam. It is no big deal, but the xtra $$ are fine. Later use your private ins and get a penile implant. Nothing else works as well.
  5. 60% for Dystemic Disorder. (PTSD w/depression) A Q has developed, that is, how do I know if I will be called for further, routine periodic C&P Exams?
  6. Try to get agreement from your VA PC doc. Show him your private dr's reports and he will probably agree and enter it into your file. Get a copy of your file notes regarding your condition and send it to your VSO for submission to the VA. The claims examiner may not bother to read your file. What ever you send directly will be lost. They are not your friend and they don't care what you did for the liberty they enjoy. Good Luck and Pray.
  7. Thanx, but it would have been wonderful if it had happened back in 1980. It has been a long long struggle. I am very pleased. Thanx again to hadit, Bay Pines DAV and my JAXVA doc.
  8. Gainesville Fl. VAMC is a very well run facility. Like all busy clinics, get there early A.M. but not on a Friday P.M. You may very well spend the W-E very bored. Seek advice from hadit for all actions prior to marching on. They are building a large expansion to the hospital. For parking be sure to use the Valet Service at the main entrance.
  9. I'm all for the happy dance, ASAP!
  10. Keep at it. Watch your back, trust no bureaucrat. Keep all copies orderly. Seek guidance and wisdom right here.
  11. :D Thanks to many VSO's, the DAV, and Hadit. Berta, you helped me more than I can express. Thanks and I hope I can help someone else. Keep it up, you're the best. It came officially today. Filed in Feb. 09, and now sweet success. God bless all of you and this forum for the aid I needed. BEWARE of Mr Roger Davis MD at C&P Gainesville, FL. He fires questions so quickly you cannot answer. Starting with "How many years of school did you complete?". "Did you repeat any grades?" "Why?". "Did you have any friends?", etc. He is tough! Warm Regards
  12. TS Snave, Thanks for the help. I filled out the entire VA-Form 21-8940 using the PDF on line. It is a two page document. You may view it, and yes it requires complete last employer information. I have no clue what an employer form is nor did my NSO mention it. Maybe it has become outdated and included into the lates form.
  13. Hey Guys, thanks for your posts tonight. Warm Regards from NE FL.
  14. Commander Bob 92-93, Thanks, that is good news. 30 days is surprising. I wondered about the C&P, how did that go? I am anxious to post a SUCCESS STORY.
  15. Must be cockpit error. Thanks I'll try to correct it.
  16. My APP. for increased Comp based on unemployability is in the mail. Anyone have an idea when I will hear back from the VA and what will be the next step? A C&P? Share your experiences please. Thanks
  17. Today's Military.com Headline. VA claims found in piles to be shreddedBy Rick Maze - Staff writer Posted : Friday Oct 17, 2008 6:08:19 EDT Department of Veterans Affairs regional offices have been ordered to immediately stop shredding documents after an investigation found some benefits claims and supporting documents among piles of papers waiting to be destroyed. Claims often include personal records supplied by veterans that are not duplicated in government files and might be difficult to replace, such as certificates for births, deaths and marriage.
  18. My email bounced back, full mailbox. How can I respond, give names and remain anonymous? I too am on thin ice with my IU. Careful I don't shoot myself in the foot. It seems we are at their mercy. Their greatest deterant to approving claims is delay and atritian. Don't we all see this coping mechanism practiced in the great percentage on this Claims and Benefit Forum? Yes, I affirm, I was advised that the practice in this thread continues, apparently unhindered. Location: Malcom Randall VAMC, NF/SGVHS, C & P Office. Don't feel defeated. We all know the devious scemes of management. They can do anything they want to. Be diligent, persistant, knowledable and seek wise counsel. The bureaucrat's mandate is obvious, that is to deny claims. After months of delay we receive huge envelopes containing difficult verbage, demanding more evidence, or stating your doctor's statement is without rationale. Doctor visits aren't convenient or affordable. We must study Hadit's entries, learn and follow through with a trusted VSO. All The Best to You!
  19. Berta, I will follow through with an email. Just got through with my VSO. My instructions are the following: 1. Go ahead and leave on reg. CSRS retirement with the reason: Due to my SC disabilities. The VA will contact my employer. (Bummer) 2. File with VSO for % increase in depressive neurosis and IU Form. Only need 10%. Not PTSD, all MH diagnosis are the same. 3. Get letters from supervisor, Spouse, co-workers regarding my conduct and job performance. 4. If response is negative then file a C & P for increase. 5. NOD 6. Appeal If anyone has a sample letter for #6 above please try to get it to me. Anybody willing to write a letter mor me? Let me know. This process may take several years. A After all there is significant attrician which favors the VA. I hope this helps other Vets! Thanks Again,
  20. Hello Berta, If you emailed me, my PC is down 2 days now. Maybe it will be up this evening for my comcast email. I'm at a DOD desk-top now. The shrink is in the Gainesville, FL. C & P location. Name witheld here for obvious reason. My VA-MH Doc told me about this, dashing my hope to a regular CSRS retirement, (due to SC disabilities) followed by 100% TDIU. Now I am going to speak with my VSO for his advice. Yours is appreciated also. Thank you, J.
  21. Need your thoughts here. My VA Doc told me yesterday the C & P shrinks are now mandated to decline TDIU claims. Seems that far too many have been allowed in the past. Now I am recommended to try to get diagnosed PTSD to increase my % just enough to make 100%. Afterward apply for 100% due to depresion and OA. PTSD is mentioned often in my file but they wouldn't change the diagnosis a few yrs. ago. I can try again. My regular CSRS retirement date is Jan. 2, 09. It may look unfavorable to ask for IU after retiring with a small pension. BTW this workplace is nearly unbearable. Vets are hated. 10 point Vets are dispised. FED. Disability Retirement would be a long, long, shot. I do my job well. Need to take action in some direction soon.
  22. Yep, CSRS. Retirement looks grim without 100% schedular. How to make it happen? Ask for a C&P or just a VA Dr. statement with my TDIU Form 21-8940. Hope that is the right form. Thanks
  23. Thanks to both of you. It has been foremost on my mind. After my post I concluded I would need another C&P to try to get another 10% =100%. Am I wrong? I will follow your advice. This is a major life event, retirement and the need for TDIU. Without it I will have a grim retirement, unable to stay in my houme and it is impossible to sell nowdays. The timing is another concern. I have a total knee replacement comming up soon. Retirement on Jan. 2 may have to be delayed. How long does it take to get TDIU and what is the process? Berta, I'll study your TDIU posts. Thanks in advance.
