  1. I was not directed towards everybody it was just towards the guy with the :-) and is mocking me because I listened to retirement brief. I got ahold of the VA today and I did get a solid answer to my current issues but in doing that made a new issue. The amount they are giving me is without dependents and I have 4 kids and a wife. The original amount they told me was with dependents so I'm confused. Anything on this?
  2. Thank you all. I have done the spreadsheet. I have served 6 years 7 months. The spreadsheet showed 1800 which is more than my retirement which is 1540.00. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!100% va 60% dod va is actually over 100% and it is all combat related.
  3. I'm glad someone thinks it's funny thanks for wasting my time
  4. My retirement date was 31DEC11 and I have yet to receive the formal decision letter. I called and all they said is that it is in its final stages. Wtf. When am I going to get paid?
  5. I do believe your correct after surfing and searching and working with this memory of mine I remember them telling me they will automatically give me the higher benefit unless I elect for some reson not to. And the waiver is in the application for VA benefits and compensation block 25 I believe so I didnt remember because this was quite some time ago that I did that form. And with CRSC that goes entirely off of any injuries that are combat related or combat training and all of mine are. The CRSC pay table matches the VA pay table but with me not having 20 yrs there is an offset which CRSC will partially replace. There is an equation they use to determine the amount you get and it can be tricky but I do know that it can not exceed your retirement amount. Thanks.
  6. The VA said they have sent my decision packet. Where do I get the waiver of military retirement pay with that packet or somewhere else? I have sent all my CRSC in all of my stuff is combat my retirement pay is just over 1500 and I am over 100% for VA. CRSC said they just need that waiver and I dont know how to get it.
  7. My biggest Question is since I am 100% VA and receiving 60% from the army will there be an offset due to the fact that I am 100% VA. And If I am granted CRSC that is just an additional check correct? and should be equal to the VA check since all conditions are combat related and I was granted 10ac. I am willing to work if I need to but my ability isnt the greatest but just like I served my country I need to continue to serve my family in need. Thank you in advance.
  8. I am currently not drawing SSD, I am PDRL. My application for both CRSC and SSD have been sent in.
  9. Hello. Thanks for your response. Yes I have applied and even being 100sc I was denied but I did appeal and sent all MEB and VA docs. I will continue to try!! Yes I am Retired Army. Medical retirement! I am in the Hurt locker right now financially I have a hard time just feeding my four kids. It will work out in the end I hope!! God willing.
  10. I have been retired for about 11 days now. I am 60% DOD and 100% VA and entitled to CRSC that application has been sent in. I need a straight answer as to what money I am going to get Money is more than tight. I was under the impression that I would get all my retirement and disability and CRSC. since I am 100% disabled. Please someone explain this to me. Thanks again.
  11. Hey Terry you not from Sturgis are you? That happens to be where home is for me.

  15. Thank you all! It has been a total of a year and four months since I started the process. The actual time for the start and end date of the MEB PEB is about 9 months. Aprox then again I do have some severe memory issues
  16. Hello, Well after a long and trying time my MEB/PEB and VA ratings are all complete. I went in this morning to do the read and sign, I went there expecting 50% and 70% and low and behold after doing the reading it was more that I expected 70% DA 100%VA also qualify for CRSC for dual receipt of both retirement and disability. Now I am just waiting for my orders to be cut to start the clearing process and then I will be living the civilian life. It was a long process but all completely worth it, luckily I had a very good medical staff and they were very thorough and made sure I received what I deserved. Feel free to ask any questions. Thank you for all your Help and Advice on here!
  17. I had my read and sign today and what a wonderful day it has been for me. I was awarded 60% DA and 100% VA. Thank you GOD

  18. I went to a VA benefits brief the other day and I was told that VA disability allowance offsets dod retirement. I was understand it before this that when medically retired they gave you your retirement pay in addition to VA disability pay. But they were saying they VA disability offsets the dod retirement. This is the first time I've heard this. And now I'm very nervous. I cannot support my family on 2500 a month and be able to prepare myself for my next career. My situation is 6yrs active. Looking at 50% dod and 80% VA. That is a rough estimate so I thought I would be getting at least 3500 a month. Plus SSDI. Someone please clarify! My MEB is comets and goes to PEB next week.
  19. Had my C&P exam last week they told me aprox 60 days till complete with MEB PEB my peblo has told me I will no doubt be over the 30% requriement for retirement so that is good news. Now I am trying to prepare for my next life step!. I have been trying to figure out how much I will make for doing a full DITY from FT. Benning to Michigan. If anyone has any experience with VA rating i would like to see a "guess" as to what you think Ill be rated at. I myself think it will be 50% for the army unfit conditions and 80% for va for all conditions.
  20. Had my C&P exam last week they told me aprox 60 days till complete with MEB PEB my peblo has told me I will no doubt be over the 30% requriement for retirement so that is good news. Now I am trying to prepare for my next life step!.

  21. I plan on going to school and finishing my degree in Physical Therapy, I did get a SS update letter in the mail the other day and it said i would get paid 1340 a month if I became disabled today. Also I seen the MEB doc the other day and he tryed to explain the whole process to me while he was very in depth I unfortunately cannot remember all he said. But I do know he did not mention any thing about a Pilot program and I am not sure what that is. I just tryed to contact the MEB legal guy today had to leave a message. I know that the VA rating will be over 50 just due to the sleep apnea with use of a CPAP. What really has me on edge is what the Army is going to give me as far as a rating. The MEB doc said I am clearly over %30 which puts me in the retirement house. Just not sure what % it will be. I am looking for someone to tell me what steps I need to take to get ready to get out. I own a house in Alabama and I am moving back to Michigan where I also own a house. I am trying to figure out what to do with the house in AL so that I can have my family secure and in a stable home. The DOC said 4months which puts the date at the end of July. So is that going to be my out date or is there additional time to out process and take terminal leave and my 20days PTDY. Just very nervous and anxious about it all.
  22. Thoracolumbar Spondylosis, Degenerative disc disease T10-T11,T11-T12 and lumbar L3-4,L4-5 and L5-6, EPTS NO LOD YES Medically unacceptable; Cervicalgia, Cervical Disc Disease at C3-4,C5-6 and C6-7 with Disc Herniation EPTS NO LOD YES Medically Unacceptable; Post Concussion Syndrome with post traumatic headache mild cognitive difficulties EPTS NO LOD YES Medically unacceptable; Right and Left Knee Patellofemoral Syndrome LOD YES, medically acceptable; Right and Left Shoulder Strain, Tenosynovitis LOD Yes, medically acceptable; PTSD Chronic LOD YES, medically acceptable; Obstructive Sleep Apnea with CPAP medically acceptable; Dyspnea On Exertion, Mild Reactive Airway Disease LOD medically acceptable; Acneiform lesions diffuse medically acceptable; Pes Planus with Plantar Fasciitis medically acceptable; Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease LOD yes medically acceptable. This is a list of the things that are on my Adendum. When I write medically acceptable or unacceptable that is referring to retention standards. So there are three conditions that make me ineligible and do not meet retention requirements. All things are LOD and the 3 that are medically unacceptable are linked to deployment. Current PULHES is 233112 FUV. Any input would be appreciated.
  23. 2 Months into the MEB, This is what has been brought up. Chronic Mild PTSD, Sleep Apnea with use of CPAP. MTBI. a total of 8 discs with either DDD or Herniation. 24. This is a very good post, and I think anyone with any type of brain injury should read it. It helped me understand my condition a little better. I was diagnosed with mTBI, the symptoms are severe loss of short term memory, some balance issues, severe distemerpent either from this or the diagnosed PTSD, not sure? The last sentence makes sence, because I have had issued ever since I came back from IRAQ in 2007 Dec, and I never received any treatment and it just got worse and I am now receiving treatment for it. It is a very upsetting condition mostly frustrated with the memory loss and anger, it makes for a bad home life. Thank you for this post.
  25. Right now the PTSD is diagnosed as chronic and moderate, and I have a total of 6 discs that are messed up between degenerative discs herniations and buldging. And the sleep is a Mild sleep fragmentation, 77% efficiency, marked reduction is the usual motto stage REM sleep. Mild obstrucive sleep apnea recommended for a cpap or a dental appliance for OSA, and the TBI is mild. I am trying to find some documentation on the rating schemes for each condition to see what it will be likely to come out as. Thank you for your assistance.
