  1. My son is a disabled vet (30% although the VA hospital says what the AF did to his ankle while operating is unreal). He got behind in his house payments and they are foreclosing on it. His dad and I are willing to pay the amount owned in back payments but they said they didn't know if they would take it or not. Said he doesn't make enough money to own a house. He has owned it for 13 years and there is quite a lot of equity in it. Fannie Mae holds the mortgage--through citibank.. He didn't ask for help until it is quite late in the procedure. Then all we got was a runaround from the bank. I don't know where to turn for help but there MUST be someplace. He also has no use of his right arm from five brain aneurysms so I'm helping (his mom). They told me he needs to get another job (he is totally disabled), stop driving so much, get rid of assets--etc. What assets? If anyone can point us in a direction, we would be very grateful. We live in Michigan.
