  1. I HAVE HAD 13 HEART CATHS WITH 3 STENT PLACEMENTS
  2. No i don't think the VA should retro me back to 1966 but i am lost as to what to do at this point Wondering if since the bicuspid phantom has been proven wrong,i developed a noticable murmer at that same time which means the even did not know what had happened . The new murmor which was not present at time of enlistment and happened in an incident for which i was hospitalized in 1966 hopefully opens a door for maybe another claim of some sort,i do not know? according to my cardioligst i don't have much time left to persue this option. I only want what is best for my wife of 44 years. thank you all for your advice I do not have a copy of my last defiberallator/pacemaker report yet ,but here is my doppler echo OCT 19 2019 HEART ECHO REPORT PROVING HEART HAS ALL VALVES with whiteout.pdf
  3. Enlisted APRIL 8 1964 Discharged FEB 8 1968 Hospitalised FEB 6 1966 to MARCH 8 1966 at PORTSMOUTH NAVAL HOSPITAL [PORTSMOUTH VA] cardiac ward Yes i was deemed healthy at my induction physical APR 8 1964 Yes first in 1984 denied they claimed it was congenital , that is why i had the test it proves everything is normal on my heart
  4. OK! Diagnosed FEB 1966 with pulmonary artery insufiency secondary to the bicuspid aortic {probably congenital} exact words Just got my doppler echo report ,it states the heart including all three leaflet valves are normal and the heart structure is normal. Making that a misdiagnosis and improper and maybe damaging treatment back in 1966 I have had off and on claims for this condition since 1984 finally i just dropped them in 2007 due to health and hospital On JULY 13 2010 i applied again ,asking them if the VA did not have clear and unmistakable evidence when i entered military service ,i would respectfully request the VA re open my claim for reconsideration I know they are going t deny me again Does anyone know if i have a snowball chance of filing a cue claim on this ? the NAVAL hospital definitly misdiagnosed me in 1966 and now i'm almost a statistic, what do yall think GO VETS
  5. I was wondering what everyone thinks, so here goes. I got a call from my heart DR the nurse said the DR needed to see me as soon as possible to discuss immediatly replacing my defibrilator and pacemaker with a new defib and pacemaker that has pump for my heart also. I asked her if this was a dangerous procedure and she said yes and my heart was abought to stop pumping at any time and it needed to be implanted as soon as possible. Now i have had this defib and pacemaker surgery before and it was scary. but i did not get a pump GOD and to think the VA has been denying my heart claim since 1984 with them saying i had a congenital condition upon entering service which they have no proof of.In 1994 the VA said there was reason to belive i didn't have a bicuspid valve, that was the denial ever since . I just had a new kind of sonagram that proves all the valves are there and they were putting the test results in the mail today proving they lied to me again. Now the questions are 1. should i request a expidition of my claims, considering the seriousness of the surgery OR POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS AFTEWARD? 2. Is there a form i should use. 3. I could easily die in this operation ,should i get a VA lawyer and familiarize him with my claim should something happen? 4. Will getting a VA lawyer help my wife if something happens to me. 5. Should i file a cue on the heart claim? Any info will be helpful and i am sorry to keep ,asking but lord knows with all my study and research i still feel dumber than a slug. Seem like everthing just gets more confusing alll the time. GOD BLESS YOU MY VETERAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS
  6. No for some reason the VA added my PTSD claim as a addition to my pulmonary claim maybe because i was diagnosed with both at the same more than a month hospital stay in a cardiac ward and was also had psyc exam i do not know No i was never treated after diagnosis at the PORTSMOUTH NAVAL HOSPITAL in Virginia or was i treated afteward and now i find out that it was a miss diagnosis. The day of the diagnosis the NAVY DOCS tried to get me to take a discharge which was never explained to me what kind and i refused and served another 1 yr 9 mos However i did go to the VA hospital 2 times and asked them too help with my heart and stroke meds and was refused I am currently waiting on a rating for my C&P for my PTSD exam, guessi'll go from there thank you for your info This is a mess mess mess
  7. [sorry i forgot to clear ss and name thanks No i am waiting for a rating on PTSD which is included in my heart claim first, then i hope to have all my ducks in a row so i can follow with a CUE request or a CUE claim appeal to follow a denial which would be my next step . I hope the rating form comes through for viewing. i certainly don't understand it No i am waiting for a rating on PTSD which is included in my heart claim first, then i hope to have all my ducks in a row so i can follow with a CUE request or a CUE claim appeal to follow a denial which would be my next step . 9. I got my first [pulmonary insuffiency] claim denial in 1984 Reason for denial was the VA says it was congenital.I have had 3 or four denials and , one rating denial.I have got disgusted me and dropped the claim 4 times because they always wanted more evidence which they had a pile already from hospitalization in 1966 to now from hospitals and doctors. My GOD i was in the hospital 18 time in cardiac and stroke wards in 7 years The last denial came a month ago when i wrote the VA and and respectfully requested that they provide me with clear and unmistakable evedince that it was congenital. tHEY IMEDIATLY GOT MY ORIGIONAL INDUCTION EXAM FROM THE RECORDS CENTER the denial letter stated that there was some evidence i did not have a bicuspid valve and that was the reason i was denied saying it was congenital and i was never given an exam by the VA Well! yesterday i went and got a heart scan at my heart dr and the results are going to be mailed to me. the heart dr told me that all my valves were there [including the one the VA said wasn't there] and there was no congenital problems with my heart. He also told me that i do have HTN heart condition and the medicine he perscribed toprol is mainly perscribed for heart pressure and heart hypertension should i use this as evidence also or file a separate claim? This is really getting more confusing for me, and i am waiting for rating decision for PTSD hopefully that will go well Does anyone here think the congenital heart thingy could be a bonified cue claim> THANK YOU VETERANS
  10. Ok, i just got a reply from the personnel records center: what sould i do next???? is this some kind of a VA trap Thank you for contacting the NATIONAL PERSONNEL RECORDS CENTER: The origional medical record needed to answer your inquiry is not currently in our files. The medical record has been loaned to the Department of Veterans Affairs [VA ] We suggest you contact the nearest VA Regional office to obtain copies of the records. If a filed claim has been filed with the VA it would be helpful to include the VA claim number BLA BLA BLA I have made application 3 times ,one time no answer.2nd time they gave me copies of my enlistment contract, and this time they sent me this. For some reason it seems that the records center do not want me to have a copy ,for my pulmonary artery insuffiency claim, and are passing the buck. My claim has been denied three or four times with the VA saying this condition was present when i entered the US NAVY in 1966. This record would prove without a doubt that there was no condition at that time,so what gives. I am concerned also that the VA might have altered my origional records.I thought the records center only sent copies and that the kept the origional. i sure hope this record of my induction physical has not dissapeared out of existance. Any suggestions would be most appreaciated. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY VET///AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
  11. Yes i have been in the cardivolol for 9 years and due to severe reaction the doc reduced my dose to 25 mg once a day. That has helped me some but not much i still have lack of sex intrest dizziness breathing problems zombie like conditions mostly spend my time in bed drooling there are approxamatly 7 symptom from this med and you can look then up at rx on the net. My doc told me after 3 or 4 years that i might start having the reactions and symptoms i am having. I like you have two options. 1. live with the med which i need to keep my heart pump strong ,and basically have no normal life at all. 2. Or cut the meds in half and be somewhat normal. 3. Stop taking the med and live normal and feeling well 4.Or take the med at night ,by morning the symptoms are mostly gone. i prefer the night med option ,at least i can function somewhat normal during the day. Thats just my opinion , and is what i have decided to do,if i die i die I already take 18 meds a day for stroke heart, and so on I told my heart dr the i had two choices live normal or live in a vegatative state,at least now i will know whats going on when something happens to me GOD BLESS YOU FOR I UNDERSTAND PERFECTLY.REMEMBER THE "I MET A MAN WITH NO FEET "
  12. I want to thank everyone for your info and help.It was most useful when i had my C&P exam today. She was a very nice doctor and listened to me carefully ,writing and taking notes.almost all the time. She asked me every question on the PTSD practice manual i got from this web site,it really helped me. The doctor said that i articulated the stressor event very well and that she would recommend to the VA that the get me on some medication as soon as possible, she could see that i needed it. Also i made sure to look her in the eye all the time She also said that my report would be favorable[whatever that means. the exam took 1 hour and i percieved it as one of the good exam. So , the question is. what is next? Do i need to get ready to fight or just wait until i get a letter from the VA. Does the VA take the DR's reccomendation? I am truly hoping this is a good sign for the future of this PTSD claim. I said i would let you know how this exam went so there it is. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY VETERAN

  14. I just got my C&P appointment date in the mail [express delivery.] Cost to the VA $17.50 to deliver it. Letter stated next TUESDAY OCT 19 ,in VA BEACH VA 100 miles away,Stated a check for mileage would be at DR's office [thats good] Sent me a card to fill out survey of DR's performance /staff performance /concern and attention to me ,and overall satisfaction with exam .[NETO] This tells me things may be changing with c&p exams and the VA wants to make sure the veteran gets every chance.I could be wrong All i know is i am so excited to get this far, so quickly. This process was taking so long that i contacted my CONGRESSMAN in turn he contacted QTC and the VA in writing. I also talked directly to the VA in WINSTON SALEM NC. 1 week and two days later i had a appointment. SOMEBODY GOT THEM HOPPING I think it is important in most cases to get your CONGRESSMAN involved in your case ,and to keep on top of him too. Also i think it is important to talk with the VA once in a while if you are having issues and problems getting your claim processed. Talk to them with reason and do not try and threaten them ,getting mad will get you nothing but more delay . I believe some of the folks there are there to help, and not impede your progress. I will let everyone know how my exam went and how i was treated when it is done. Hang in there , and try get em with honey,I doesen't always work ,but it is worth a try Some of the vets are having a difficult time with claims process , and it makes me sad I have been fighting one claim since 1984, but never again will i give up. MAY GOD BE WITH EACH AND EVERY VETERAN

  17. First i am glad to have some folks that understand and offer advice The VA has sent me a letter saying i am getting a psyc appointment for my PTSD disability claim.. Here's my question/ my pastor of my church{so much for privacy huh} sent to the VA a letter stating that i had tried to commit suicide with a rifle in 2009 . The ammo was ww11 for a M1 carbine and misfired and just went phhhhhft What will this psyc doctor do to me , immediatly take me to a institution }? maybe it would be better just to do it right ,and not have to deal with them But, there are a few folks i'd like to take with me Everything seems so hopless sometimes GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY VETERAN
