My parents took me to the hospital but by the time I got there I was waking up and couldnt afford medical treatment..

So would My parents following that format be sufficent to show that the event happened or was witnessed? I hit my head and went unconscience. I was unconscience for almost an hour. My parents drove me to the hospital and by the time i got there I was already awake. We couldn't afford for a doctor to see me and run tests and I was already conscience. I had a massive headache later that night and had trouble remembering the incident for awhile. I had symptoms in the military with trouble retaining learned information depression mental disorders and was eventually released early for personality disorder which they found was more than that and gave me 100 disability but i believe I rate SMC T

When I was on Leave I went unconscience during a sports related incident "undocumented on leave" I am suffering TBI from Multiple head tramas in the military. When I file for a claim. Would my mother and fathers lay statement be sufficient and strong opinion from my doctor have a good case or would it be denied? Thank you, God Bless

Is it okay a Electronic copy sent to me by email or would they need a real signature. I think it would be a big burden to them to send it by mail and go through all the drama if they just don't do everything by email. I can put thier contact number. Does the VA give them a call or go to the house or interview them in person? They would like to know all of this. Also after bootcamp I had a accident at home while on leave. My parents can write a lay statements it since they witnessed it. Would this be any value or something that happened during leaving that my parents saw? Thank you. The only issue is I have a poorly documented TBI but all of my private doctors are saying that it is because of a tbi that happened in service. They never documented that I hit my head and loss conscience but put my broken leg. I fell down a flight of stairs for god sakes with a mattress slamming me in concrete

Hello, I am suffering severe memory loss and hormonal problems due to a Moderate TBI that wasn't documented properly in my SMR. I have 4 doctors that state it is more than likely due to the fall but my medical records said I broke my leg but didn't include the loss of conscience. 1.Is it unnecessary I track down a witness and have him write a statement? 2.Would whats in my medical records be enough even though it doesn't state direct head trauma I fell down second story stairs? 3. Is having four doctors say that it is because of my Head injury that it is more than likely the problem for my memory loss and hormonal problems enough even though my accident was poorly documented

I was diagnosed with hypogonadism "low testosterone in the military but it is actually secondary to a pituitary issue. Is this doctors statement enough to prove it? This was the final paragraph by the private doctor " Current endocrine diagnosis is partial hypopituitarism (with hypogonadism, hypothyroidism and low IGF-1), etiology could be related to prior multiple head trauma that he sustained. This condition is often diagnosed long after the initial presentation. It is possible that his history of hypogonadism could be a part of the pituitary problem. The condition may be insidiously progressive or stable for several years. Management is directed towards replacement of deficient hormones. " Would I need to get additional doctor statements or anything else to prove that is it service connected? This was diagnosed a few months after I fell down the stairs "SC hypogonadism "

Hello Fellow Veterans, I am filing for TBI. I had a accident in the military where I fell down a stairwell with a mattress and the mattress landed on top of me broke my leg and sandwiched me in the ground. It was documented but they didn't document Loss Of conscience and neither did I since I was more concerned with my Broken Leg that was in intense pain. I do have two buddies that were there that saw but might be a little hard to track them down. I believe I have at least a Moderate TBI especially since I have a Growth Hormone defienciency. Do I need there statements or can I prove it with my MSR and A couple of private doctor opinions? I am also PTSD 100% P&T Thank you

Yes i noticed when i watch tv i need it higher than everyone else to hear so i know hearing is subpar but it has been good enough 4 me i think your the only one who will chime in lol lets say i get this tbi documented by several docs now would that be sufficient under probroble cause thank u berta

I was in boot camp about 9 years ago and still got buttstroked. Also got hit by a D.I. in the face. Slammed into the floor and told that he wanted me to die. What happens in the squadbay stays in the squadbay. You see hypopit is serviced connected but i know its secondary. I recieved SMC k as well. This will sound crazy but the COGNITIVE ISSUES I suffer from all I am the poster child for the cognitive issues of TBI Residuals. Cognitive impairment is defined as decreased memory,YES concentration,YES attention, YESand executive functions of the brain. Executive functions are goal setting, YESspeed of information processingYES, planning,YES organizingYES, prioritizing,YES self-monitoring,YES problem solving, YESjudgmentYES, decision makingYES, spontaneity,YES and flexibility in changing actions when they are not productive.YES Not all of these brain functions may be affected in a given individual with cognitive impairment, Under Evaluate emotional/behavioral dysfunction under §4.130 (Schedule of ratings–mental disorders) when there is a diagnosis of a mental disorder. When there is no diagnosis of a mental disorder, evaluate emotional/behavioral symptoms under the criteria in the table titled "Evaluation of Cognitive Impairment and Other Residuals of TBI Not Otherwise Classified." I have already be listed with PTSD P&T So i dont know how they would handle that For physical residuals. Colorblindness , Hypopituary, Speech and Communication Problems, Coordination. They didn't attribute it to anything. The Cause was unknown they never tried to guess in service. I have my complete service medical Records. For TBI incidents documented in SMR are "Carrying a bed mattress walking backwards when he misstepped at the top of the stair well and twisted his right ankle down the first three steps." The stair well was at least twelve steps I fell down with a mattress landing on of me. It didn't state in my medical records in the statement but it wasnt a twist it was a shattered ankle that took 6 months to heal and it didnt state the mattress landed on top of me. It also didn't state I blacked out and went unconscience for a short period of time. The mattress fell on top of me so it smashed and sandwiched me between it and the concrete. Lucky to be alive.. Its documented that I was tackled and my wrist was broken but my head was also smashed really hard in the pavement where I blacked out. The tackle was documented the broken wrist was documented but not the black out In bootcamp if u document things your a "xxxxx" So i never had it documented that I was hazed and buttstroked with a M16 in my face and going unconscience.

I have Serviced Connected Hypopituary which is a number of imbalanced Hormones. I have Low Testosterone.Low Thyroid, Low Growth Hormone, Low Dhea, Low Fsh. I also rated 100% PTSD with HouseBound. This disease is related to TBI but how do I prove it. In my records I have records of me falling down stairs and Breaking my Leg with a mattress falling on top of me which i helped carry when i supervised a working party and being tackled at a different time that broke my arm. My Endocronologist said even if it doesn't show on a MRI it is more than likely and a strong possiblity its linked to a TBI in service I had a MRI but it came out Normal. I suffer many symptoms of TBI. A VA Doctor stated About a third of veterans who come for treatment at the VA Medical Center are diagnosed with TBI. But Dr Huang said normal brain scans like MRIs only spot changes to the brain in about 10 percent of cases. They just came out with a new technology at a VA Clinic but it is in the US and I am in the Philippines so the technology is not widely available here and not so available in the US except in a few places. What kind of doctor and what tests would the doctor need to do and what would the doctor need to state for the approval of this condition?

Hello Vets, I understand that you cannot recieve ILP overseas. But Could I get Approved overseas and recieve the services in the US. I would agree to that so there would be no need for Due process. I would just like the items to get approved while I am abroad and recieve them whenever I go to the US. e. Hello, I spoke to a vocational rehab person on the phone and they told me Indepedent Living Program in the Philippines doesn't exist and its just for the US but they have a regional office here. 1.Is this true? And if not what can I do?
