  1. Yes voc rehab has made this statement for me. As to the mri narritive I am still unsure because they fired my pain mngt. Dr. and booted me back to primary. So I am trying to get back into pain mngt to get info needed there. The wonderful wheel of VA.
  2. ok called 1-800 and asked for status of my claim got e-mail response today. As follows. We have received communication from the Cleveland Regional Office. They have stated that after your claim for dependency was completed (see notification letter dated February 1, 2011) your claim file was inadvertently returned to the files, instead of leaving it open to complete your claim for increase dated May 11, 2010. We greatly apologize for our error and any inconvenience this may have caused. The Veteran’s Service Representative (VSR) working your claim will immediately pull your file. If all evidence and documentation in support of your claim has been received, the VSR will make your claim ready for a decision. If more evidence is needed, the VSR will contact you in this regard. So here we go again. Rule number #1 folks do not open more then one claim at a time it just confuses them.
  3. one other thing my pain dr had a full mri done of my back waiting on results from that. I am guessing when they find problems there they will become secondary o my lower back problems and my gait from my knee. would this be a correct assumption?
  4. Okay update on my claim. I received the notes from my psych dr. All sessions it states that i have major deppresion disorder secondary to chronic pain. Now i wait to hear what the decide on my claim. I would think though that with this evidence that i should get my secondary deppresion claim. Then from there we see about the IU.
  5. yes in lieu of PTSD and my county vso said they would try to lowball me at 30% on the adjustment disorder and we need to fight it to 50%. I have claime lack of concentration my voc rehab i was getting straight a's and went to failing on all my classes and they know this.
  6. Ok they upped my percentage 10% and deffered the adjustment disorder and the iu for now. will post more when i hear more.
  7. My claim has been at the board since the 6th if that gives you any idea of how long the wait can take.
  8. well i called the #800 and it has been back to the rater since the 6th is a long wait time better or worse?
  9. Thanks for your reply Chuck yes you have it in a nutshell for my case.I have applied for ssdi also.
  10. about 5-6 months through cleveland I have been told. and the benefits i know include free camping at stae parks, property tax reduction, free fishing and hunting licences. that is all i am sure of there are more things I think.
  11. Also at this time my pain level has not been brought under control sad thing is it is getting steadly worse.
  12. Well my being unemployed is due to my medications. My place of work said I can not work on these meds and not be able to drive heavy equipment. So the depression is tied to my pain and the consequences that arise from it.
  13. Seems rather standard to not hear anything from them for a good amount of time. I just called them today filed in march they told me I should know by end of the month. Good Luck.
  14. Thanks Forman yes I have asked for increase on Back and Knee and the new claim for secondary depression . Was just trying to get a idea if I was going to be close to getting the tdiu. I have not worked for a year now, I know that helps in the decision. I also know its a crapshoot and I may get it and may not. They have no set way of determination from what i have seen. I am in Ohio and was hoping some one with similar case could tell me if they recieved tdiu or not. Thanks again for your input.
  15. I applied for tdiu and the c&p Dr stated that i could do sedentary work if my pain was brought under control. I am currently rated 20%. 10% for knee and 10% for back. I have also asked for secondary depression due to my being unemployed and depressed. I got axis I adjustment disorder with depressed mood axis ii deferred axis iii chronic Pain axis iv 3 (unemployed, Financial Problems) axis v 55 current functioning. I have been through pain Management and am on morphine and percocets daily.
