  1. Went I went to my primary care doctor at a local naval hospital he did several tests and labwork. Put me on some new medication and seemed frustrated that it wasn't giving me any results. He told me all of the labwork indicated that I did not have Fibro. Well knowing what I do know there is no labwork that indicates whether you do or do not have fibro. So I went to my doctor outside of the VA and he said the same. No labwork can indicate that you do or do not have fibro. So he looked at the labwork and said they did everything to rule out things such as lupus, MS, and other things. The only logical answer was fibro. He sent me to a rheumatologist and after an exam he indicated that I indeed had fibromyalgia. I can tell you that on most days I feel like I've been ran over by a truck the day before. Both the rheumatologist and medical doctor outside of the VA are aware of my PTSD and migraines as part of my service connection disability. I guess I will find out the results of the claim soon enough. Just nervous that it will be denied. It would be a slap in the face at this point if it is denied. Not sure if I will appeal or just forget it. Just tired.
  2. Hi Everyone, I haven't been on in a while and have a question. I filed a fibromyalgia claim as a secondary to my PTSD. I checked Ebenefits today and noticed that it's in the notification. I thought that was a little odd since I hadn't been called in for a C&P exam. I have documentation from my rheumatologist outside of the VA. My concern is that for the longest I had been going to doctors for different aches, pains, etc for years not even knowing a thing about Fibro. Last year it was what my doctor suspected and sent me to a rheumatologist. Would it have any negative bearing that my diagnosis came years after my military career? Any comment is appreciated. Thanks
  3. That's a great idea. Didn't think of that. I will go call now. I wonder if I will have to give a description of everything all over again. I have PTSD.
  4. I think that's it. I guess I'm super nervous. I remember the dates for one employer, but not the other. The problem is at both the individuals that were my supervisors no longer work there. So I'm not quite sure what to do. A few family members and friends are going to write statements. I just want everything to be done and over with. Not in an impatient way, but so I can relax my brain. Hope that makes sense.
  5. Can someone please help me. I'm trying to understand what exactly the VA is requesting for me in order to receive Individual Unemployability. I kind of understand that they want statements. I'm just mentally exhausted. I just got my rating of 70%. My claim started in November 2009. Just trying to fill out some of this paper work is overwhelming and exhausting. I'm just trying to make sure I get it right the first time. The last time I worked was in 2006 and for maybe about 3 months a few years later. Just couldn't stay focused. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Thanks. Never thought about that. All of this waiting is making me nervous and antsy. Thanks for being king.
  7. Can someone please help me. I'm confused. I started my claim in November 2009. My last C and P Exam was in January. I signed up for Ebenefits at the beginning of the year so I could be able to check my status online. Each time it has always been in the first phase which is the discovery phase. Tonight I log in and get this message: Detailed information surrounding the claims you have filed with VA is not available at this time. If you would like more information, please call us at 1-800-827-1000. I don't even see a status or anything showing that I filed a claim. The last time I checked it was a few days ago. This is very confusing and depressing. Makes you just want to give up.
  8. Just got a call to be scheduled for my disability exams. I am so nervous. Not to nervous about the medical portion, but have a separate one with the psychiatrist. Wonder if you can ask for a female.
