I served in the US Army from 1978 to 1982. In 1979 I hurt my knee while on active duty during physical training. It has never been the same since. I have seen my private Orthopedic Surgeon many times and his last diagnosis is a Total Knee Replacement. I was able to get a copy of my service medical records and it’s documented in there that I suffered the injury while on active duty and I saw medical personnel for treatment. I have not submitted a VA claim for this yet. Has anyone successfully submitted a VA claim for this type of injury and were you successful in getting it approve

I have an 80% service connected disability rating. 70% of that comes from PTSD. I spent 7 years as an infantryman in the Army. I got out in 2016. I am currently looking at going back in as a social worker. I was previously enlisted but the new career field I am interested in is a direct commission position. Doe anyone have any knowledge or experience about returning to Activ

My advance apologies if this is not the correct forum for my question, as I could not identify the perfect forum title for this type of inquiry. My question is that I have 14 years total active duty time (USMC) broken up over the last 25 years. I last left active duty in 2011 at age 40. I wont bore anyone with the reasons as to why I would leave with only needing six more years to a pension, but it has to do with my wife being in a different branch (Army LtCol) and our two branches no longer being able to work together and "co-assign" us to a location where we can both serve. Cancel A Claim - Need Advice
PMJ posted a question in VA Disability Compensation Benefits Claims Research Forum
Vets, I am a 12 year AD Veteran who recently separated under Honorable conditions with RE-1 code. I filled my quick start compensation claim while I was still in AD. My claim status on eBenefits says to be finalize between APR14-NOV14. My career plans after separation did not go as planned. I contacted the AD and Reserve recruiters to see the possibilities on returning to AD or joining the reserve. I was told neither may happen since I submitted a VA claim. Should I cancel or stop my claim in order to return to AD or joining the reserves? Is there a penalty for doing so? Will I b
